I spoke with my daughter today about her 2.5 year old child, because I wanted to better understand what children can do at that age. He can turn on a tap. She said that if a child can turn a doorknob, a child can turn on a tap. She said that he can clean his feet, and that he has been known to climb onto the toilet, then onto the counter around the sink to wash his feet. He can put on his pants without help, and he can remove a diaper.

Perhaps Jason's daughter removed her pants, removed her diaper, then she sat in the blood, then she put her pajama pants on, and that is why there was blood on the inside of the pajama pants (soaked through???) but the outside of the pants appeared clean. Jason's daughter talked about a wash cloth, and I'm going to assume that she knew how to turn on the tap. The bench for reaching the sink was in front of the sink. I think it's possible that she tried to clean her own feet and that she made quite a mess ... and that is why there is no second set of prints anywhere in the bathroom.

The only way some people will learn NEVER to talk to police is if they or their loved one is railroaded when they run their mouth.

I have no problem with LE wanting to talk to JY, but it was all the stuff that was being said that made his friends think they should warn him and he decided to lawyer up.

Look at Scott Peterson, he couldn't shut up and gave interview after interview playing the grieving husband and mocking the people who searched for his missing wife, telling them I know Laci would thank you, while never participating in any of the searches himself. I will never forget the interview he was doing when his phone went off and he didn't even bother to answer it. BUSTED!

I don't think there is anything JY could have said that would have kept him from getting charged.

It's all the things that a 2.5 year old child can do and can get into that is scary!! That is why there has to be an better explanation of how CY spent those 10.5 hours alone!

Interesting to note that he told his mother this. I thought he was to remain mute as ordered by his attorney? When did he tell her this? Don't go searching for links. I don't need them. Just making an observation.

That was months or years later, when police executed search warrants on Jason's parent's home.

Exactly. Two year old children can take socks off, put on and remove pants, turn on the tap, get a washcloth, wash feet (in fact, I learned that many young children are insistent about having clean feet), open and close doors, remove a diaper, and do all sorts of things. If the child woke up at 6 or 7 AM, then she had about five hours to do what she did.

Did we hear about what was found in the garbages at the house? That may contain additional clues. There might be a diaper, perhaps some baby wipes with blood, maybe a wash cloth. Were there no used diapers anywhere in the house, or were there dirty diapers somewhere and the child put her diaper where it should go.

But prior to his trial? Why would he offer that up when police were searching his parent's home? It wasn't his home. What possessed him to give it up about the medication?

One sock had blood and one did not and there are clear right and left footprints.

Something stinks to high heaven.

It stinks if the only theory is that someone carried the child to the bathroom, then drugged her, and then she was found in her parent's bed. If the child slept through the night and woke up in the morning, then she travelled between the body and the bathroom a few times, that could explain both the blood evidence on the carpet between the two rooms, and the fact that only one sock had blood, but both feet had blood. If the child attempted to wash her feet in the bathroom, that would explain why the prints in the bathroom appear fresh. If she managed to clean her feet, she may have decided to wear two shoes to protect her feet. I think we need to stop under-estimating how much can be accomplished by a 2.5 year old child.

That was the time when they came to his parent's house and wanted to know whether Jason used the dropper to administer medication to the child. He told his mother that he had indeed done that. Perhaps police should have used the opportunity to ask whether the door between the house and the garage was routinely left unlocked, whether the child normally removed her diaper in the morning, and all sorts of other questions for which they needed answers. What possessed investigators to only ask about the medicine dropper?

Interesting to bring up Scott Peterson. Maybe I am wrong but it appears you believed he was guilty. To me all they had in SP case was CE pretty much the same as JY. If you do believe there was no reasonable doubt in SP case what evidence was most compelling to you?

The black shoe that testified positive for blood must have been a blood transfer when CY was wearing at least one bloody sock. The only thing is SS testifed CY could not put her socks on by herself and I don't know if she could take them off by herself either. It is strange and the bloody footprints all going the same direction in the bathroom make no sense at all. How did she get out of there ?

Most babies are able to pull their socks and shoes off, putting them on is a different story.

So he spoke? That's the point. What possessed him to violate his attorney's advice? Why then? And was that REALLY the only time?

She wasn't wearing socks when she was found, but she had apparently managed to get a dress shoe and a flip flop into her parents bed. I suspect that those were easy enough to put on.

Police decided that Jason's use of the medicine dropper should be reason for criticism, and we know how much was said about what an irresponsible parent he was for giving diluted adult medicine to a child. This is a good example of the fact that police were going to take everything that Jason said and attempt to use it against him.

I think one thing a 2.5 year-old-child would NOT do is climb up and tuck themselves into Daddy's side of a big bed if Mommy is "asleep" on the floor across the room where she couldn't see her from that vantage point. Nor will they go to sleep hungry. CY was without food for at least 16 hours maybe longer if she did not have anything to eat before bed.

The child was tall, if I recall correctly. I'm not prepared to rule out that she could climb onto the bed. For a child, where there's a will, there's a way. I think it's possible that the child went to the one place where she knew her dad would find her. Regarding food, there was a lot of talk about jelly beans early on in the investigation ... something about there being a bowl of jelly beans on the main floor. Also, regarding children and food, they can go for quite some time without food if they refuse to eat their supper and have to wait until the morning for something to eat. They survive.

All I know is that there was trash pickup scheduled for the following morning at Birchleaf.
This rest is pure speculation on my part, but I believe that sometime after Shelly left, MY got the trash together, and thats why we see the trashbags out on the counter.. I know SS bought food so I don't know what was left or if any of the packaging was thrown away. Also, JY cut grass that day, and I am thinking he may have taken the clippings already out and maybe the heavier part of the trash, such as the cans, etc. But, I do not know this as a fact.

She may have been tall enough to crawl up on the bed. Just because something is possible doesn't mean it happened. Her mother was in the same room on the floor and under those circumstances it is impossible for me to believe CY crawled into that bed on her own or that she was waiting for her dad to "find" her. She wasn't missing.

CY wasn't found until the next afternoon. From my own experience, I know a toddler can not go that long without food and NOT get hungry and fussy. She didn't sound fussy in the background of the 911 call. I don't know anything about jellybeans being part of the evidence.

Probably started with SP's behavior and then sometimes you just go with what you feel.
To me , SP, was evil. I do not get that from JY. I get a goofball, I get very inconsiderate about MYs feelings and his marriage, but, I do not get evil. I see a man who was scared that even though he had an alibi, it was not 100% unbreakable and I see a man who should not be in jail today. IMO

My daughter tortures her children by depriving them of food and they don't say a word about it. That is, if they refuse to eat their supper, they are not given an alternate meal ... they simply go without. That means that they eat at lunch and they wait until the following morning for breakfast. I have seen it myself that a 2.5 year old can survive this without complaining. Some children are quite okay even when they miss a meal.

The child did not know that her mother was deceased and it's very likely that she wanted to be close to her mother. Christa Worthington's daughter was found huddled with her mother's deceased body.

"Christa Worthington, 46, was found in her home, naked from the waist down, dead of a savage knife wound to the chest.

A neighbor and former boyfriend found her after she'd been dead for as long as a day and a half.

Maria Flook: (reading) "He looked in and saw her laying on the floor, with her baby huddled beside her, and he said the baby looked up and he went and picked her up and discovered that Christa wasn't responsive."
