This is the door where there was blood. I do understand that it can be difficult to read floor plans. This is not the location where the purse was photographed.

What do you mean it simply didn't happen? I believe her. And it makes no difference. The bigger point is that JY never went back to his house. I know. He was devastated and grieving and caring for his beloved daughter.

Lets clear this up, there was one door off to the side of the kitchen, but not actually in the kitchen, that led to the garage, That was the door that had blood on the doorknob. Coming in that door would also lead to the stairs to the 2nd floor, correct, Otto?

There are actually several entrances to the kitchen. There is an entrance next to the small downstairs bathroom, one entrance to the family room, one entrance to the dining room, and one entrance to the back stairwell (garage).

It's true that some people cannot read blueprints/floorplans, so it's understandable that there could be some confusion about what photos are associated with which entrance to the kitchen. However, there is no debate that there was blood on the door between the stairwell and the garage. The purse is photographed with a door leading to the front entrance. There is no door between the kitchen and the back stairwell. That is the easiest way to know for sure that the location of the purse is not the stairwell.

Excellent point about the foreign prints. They were on a roll to railroad JY and nothing would get in their way.

Do you know if there is such thing as an independent person to do the submitting to the database? And if he can sue the state if he is found innocent?

No, only LE can submit prints and/or DNA to be run through the databases.

Can he sue? NC is a state that compensates those who were wrongfully convicted so I believe he would be able to, yes. We're way ahead of ourselves here though. Still a long way to go to get to that point but I believe he will.

Could she get down the stairs or did they have safety gates?

Just looking at her play table right there by the purse makes me wonder if she could have grabbed the purse thinking maybe to bring it to mommy.

I remember discussing child safety gates in the past and it is my understanding that there we no safety gates; the child managed the stairs without difficulties (to be expected from a 2 year old). It's quite possible that the child was downstairs between the hours of 7AM and 1PM - perhaps she was wearing her shoes (one flip flop and one dress shoe).

Otto, I am reading that pdf you posted and on Page 17(appeal) it says the state argued that Jason Young knew how to drive his car on fumes.......was this supposed to be funny?

Also, at 7:23 PM Jason was still on the computer printing stuff but by 7:30PM he was at the gas station in Raleigh, that was fast!

I heard the oral argument for the appeal, but never read this before. Very thorough, 75 pages thorough.

No safety gates. This is what's so puzzling about the dog, remember? Because he was loose in the house and MF said the master BR door was open so why weren't there any bloody paw prints found anywhere. This is one thing that will always bother me.

Page 29, Lorrin Freeman enters the case and testifies about the WDS and custody case being filed on behalf of LF.
Now, I am lost. So, it is her testimony about the admissability of those 2 actions in Trial 2 that won Jason his appeal, and she might be the new DA?

Wasn't that in the appeal document that was posted a few days ago?

He stated that he would be back for the game on Nov 4 if his father in law was attending ... he made this statement to Schaad before he left for his business trip. Michelle's father phoned after Jason left to say that he would not be attending the party. Therefore, Jason went ahead with his plans to pick up the dresser in Brevard for the new baby's room.
