What I remember is that Jason claimed that he needed his power cord because he wanted to review his presentation for the following morning. I believe that a search of his computer revealed that he did not review his presentation.

I know, I just can't find the exact testimony.

I agree completely!!! BH was not at all prepared for the cross on JY. I could not believe she completed her cross in under an hour!!! To be fair she only had the lunch hour to prepare and she had no idea what he was going to say when he was on the stand. She did have one line of questions that IMO were effective. JY had said he was working on his marriage with MY. BH asked, "Were you working on your marriage when" she then repeated this with all the examples of extra marital activities etc. That was the only part of her cross that to me was effective.

She had years to prepare, but they had no evidence.

I am not sure , but, do we know if he had the directions to the meeting with him?
Why did he wait until last minute? I am sure he knew the general direction he was headed to but why not know exactly where ahead of time? This meeting was set up weeks in advance.

To me, this just proves JY did not plan anything, not even his trip. And this is exactly how JY was described by friends and family in court testimony. He was not a planner.

Another thing, and I have to look this up to be positive, but after he made the gas stop before he left Raleigh, he talked to his Mom almost all the way to Greensboro, NC (Cracker Barrel), then he spoke with MF and then he had some other calls along the way before he reached Hillsville. Basically, he talked on his cell the whole trip, so I don't find anything out of the norm by calling his Mom the next morning and planning on talking to her some more while he drove. This trip was not just straight highway , it was through the mountains and cell phone reception was bad and probably getting worse as his travel continued.
Phone records show he was pretty much always talking to someone, MY, MM, and his friend DB, soooooooo, when did he have time on his trip to plan the last details of the murder?

The Mapquest directions were found in his car. IMO the last details of the murder were playing in his head as he drove back to Raleigh. He also testified at that point that he turned his cell off for the night. To me this is not behavior a husband leaving a young child and pregnant wife would do. IMO he did not want any cell phone activity to be tracked while he returned to Raleigh.

Again I was disappointed with BH but really what was she going to prepare, JY had spoken to no one!!!!!! She had no idea what his story was going to be.

BBM

Yes he did. MF phone # was written on it.

Why not mention something to her about the printout then?

Thanks, but we also know JY called MF from Cracker Barrel, so I am thinking he didn't have her number on his cell, maybe he had her number just at home or on their land line.

No idea if he knew he did or did not have the other printout with him.

Why did she have posterior livor when she was found face down? If she was face down, livor shb anterior.

I can't answer this but I think if LEO/ME thought different they would have noted it, imo.

IMO it is reasonable to think that JY wrote MF's phone # on those mapquest directions because as he was printing them and the ebay searches he knew then he was going to be making a call to MF the next day. He used to call MF frequently but since she was no longer CY's nanny it was not usual for JY to call MF. So as you said he must have removed it from his cell and so as he made plans right before leaving IMO again it is reasonable that is when he wrote MFs # on the mapquest directions. This is something I would have loved for BH to ask JY why he had MF's # on those mapquest directions. But we can't rewrite history.

It doesn't really matter what his story would be ... either investigators and prosecutors had important questions that had remained unanswered for years, or they didn't, but they can't complain that he wouldn't answer questions and then, when he was ready to answer them all, they didn't know what to ask.

There seem to be database errors popping up on my end ...

Also, the emergency door didn't allow for re-entry so that's the reason, JY said he placed a twig there. BUT why didn't he just use the glass door next to it? Was it because it was locked and only keycard can be used? Or no keycard was able to unlock the door??

Because there was no bush next to it to get a twig to hold the door open.

I just finished listening to his testimony and did not hear him say he turned off his phone. Are you 100% sure of this?

IMO, he had planned it but not that specific weekend. Then when AF wasn't coming and he already was going out of town he put his plan into action.

Even if AF had decided to come that weekend, Jason still could have carried out the murder if he had planned it. AF wasnt coming til Saturday or Sunday.

Because there was no bush next to it to get a twig to hold the door open.

I think this was answered upthread but it was because he would have needed to swipe his key card. That would have been a whole lot easier than putting a twig there, imo, on a windy night.

Because LE/ME are perfect?

No need to be rude. No one is perfect. But given their knowledge I'm pretty sure that if the evidence didn't support what MF saw/said about MY position then it would have been noted. Are you suggesting she lied??

I understand that. But I hadn't read the appeal until yesterday. And before that the way some posters were talking is that part of the appeal was due to CY comments. So therefore, I assumed they were right. It wasn't until after reading it I understood that the reason for the appeals was because the court erred in admitting the custody case and the civil suit. Those 2 things only!

Unfortunately, I may have been one of the ones spreading misinformation about the appeals court ruling that it was improper to admit CYs hearsay evidence - because that is what I thought for a long time (maybe partly because it was discussed here as though it were true.) In any event I know I repeated it, so sorry for that!

I had only read the appeals opinion for the first time last week, and it was a shocker to read for myself that the court found no error in the daycare worker testimony about CY and no error by the prosecutors discussing Jasons refusal to talk to anyone about his alibi until he took the stand (3 years later)
