Oooohhh, I cant even imagine how thats possible! Im on my way to check it out :D

wildabouttrial.com has archives of the whole trial thus far. It is still going on and it is very interesting. Also a webslueths is following it. The murder of Elizabeth Marriott. Sorry for going off topic but like I said it make Jodi Arias trial look tame.

I think this was answered upthread but it was because he would have needed to swipe his key card. That would have been a whole lot easier than putting a twig there, imo, on a windy night.

Yes, it would have, but he had left it upstairs.

No need to be rude. No one is perfect. But given their knowledge I'm pretty sure that if the evidence didn't support what MF saw/said about MY position then it would have been noted. Are you suggesting she lied??

I was not being rude.

And no, my point is not that there was a lie, but that this info was overlooked. Seriously, she was found FACE DOWN. How could there be posterior livor?

ETA, I am going to listen to the ME testimony. I just thought the people who watched all of the trial would know. I will report back:)

But, if MF was so critical to JY's plan of finding CY, wouldn't he have programmed her phone number in his cell at some earlier point. Sure sounds like he left a lot to chance, like he was getting ready to leave and said, "oops, I don't have Meredith's cell #",,,,,

Gotta say I LOVE JYs stepdad. Listen to his testimony if you haven't. It is quite entertaining.

Can you post the link to the testimony of the computer forensics person who found he did not look at his computer that night? I listened to the testimony of two computer forensic witnesses, but did not hear it.

If I come across it Ill let you know. Which trial and which forensic witnesses did you listen to?

I know it is not easy to think like a murderer. I am trying to be objective and figure out JY's plan and when it began and why he thought it would work.

Lets start with the insurance policy.... Substantial has been the word used to describe it a lot, would it draw suspicion with the amount under the circumstances of this being a murder case? YES

The affair with Michelle Money that wasn't being kept a secret. JY had even told some of his friends about it.
And, all of the emails, texts, phonecalls to each other? Would they be discovered? YES.

Why did he pick the big NC State game weekend, with everyone coming to town and yet decide to go ahead when Mr. Fisher supposedly cancelled? What difference did it make if Mr. Fisher was coming or not coming to town? None.

What was his plan and when did it begin?

Good point. Why didn't law enforcement find them?

Probably because the only information they had was a man and a woman in a light colored soccer mom type vehicle. I mean, how are you going to identify the people or their vehicle without any more information than that?

Yes, but do you also know those people never came forward either. If it was just someone in the neighborhood, wouldn't they have come forward and said "Yeah, we were just making a turn in the driveway" But no one admitted to something so seemingly innocent, whoever was in the driveway at that hour on that morning just can't be found or do not want to be.

Those are good questions and I agree with your answers to them.

If we are hypothesizing for the sake of argument that Jason did commit the murder, and trying to figure out when he formulated the plan -- I would guess that he formulated the plan between the time that he visited MM in October (?) and the week leading up to the murder. I think this is a pretty narrow time frame.

Why did he plan it for the weekend of the big football game? Because that is the weekend that he had to go out of town for a sales meeting, something he could use to establish an alibi.

I still have questions though - he or MM testified that he and MM were talking about a rendez vous that weekend but decided against it because he had guests coming in town for the game. I dont believe it was stated that his sales meeting and having to go out of town was a reason they called off their weekend together.

So when exactly was this meeting scheduled and did MM know about it in advance? Or were they planning on getting together while Jason was traveling for the sales meeting?

Very interesting points. IMO I believe JY had been doing some thinking about getting rid of MY for awhile. I imagine he always figured he'd do it when he was scheduled to be out of town, but maybe not thought it out in detail. I would love to know what he and MY argued about the night before the murder when JY threw the remote at her. I think that could have been the catalyst for him deciding it was going to be then. I do not think he thought it through. I think he believed that he had the perfect alibi since he could prove he was out of town on business.

It could have been a couple who had gotten lost and just turned around in that particular driveway, having no clue that it was the house where a murder was committed. And sometimes people just dont want to get involved so they dont come forward with information. Or maybe they were afraid they might be considered suspects if they identified themselves. Cant really answer this.

Then there was also the delivery person who saw a light colored SUV in front of the Young house at about 3:30 a.m. and lights on inside.

AFAIK no further information was developed from those leads. But seeing a car in the driveway or in front of the house is not really compelled - or at least not as compelling as if someone had seen a person running from the house to the vehicle or heard screams at the time they observed the vehicle or noticed the vehicle speeding away, as if to avoid being identified.

I just finished listening to his testimony and did not hear him say he turned off his phone. Are you 100% sure of this?
I cannot be 100% sure. Yet I do believe I heard this and he claimed that he saw no need to keep it on . I will try to see if I can find this later.

Yes, it would have, but he had left it upstairs.

IMO, it just makes him look more suspcious. Like he didn't want his swipes recorded. I mean he left his door ajar with all his belongings in there even his computer and to leave twice??? I understand MAYBE leaving it like that to run and get ice but never to leave the floor and go outside.

He got the USA today to take with him to read while he smoked.
He did testify he was going to check sport scores in the USA Today... and he had just been on his computer on sports websites.

So since this is too hard, they abandon someone who was driving from the murder scene head lights first.

Especially if you look at the floor plan and see where his room was compared to the stairs he said he took and the emergency exit he used to go outside twice. His room was on the clear opposite end of the hotel from the emergency exit.

And he did not forget his key card - he intentionally left it in his room twice when he went outside and he intentionally left the door ajar while he was gone, and also intentionally used an emergency exit that prohibited re-entry, requiring him to also prop that door open.

That is simply not believable.
