If I come across it Ill let you know. Which trial and which forensic witnesses did you listen to?

Re-trial with the brunette lady in uniform who talks like a major computer nerd and the guy right after her. His testimony was about 10 minutes and hers was over an hour with a hearing before it.

Those are good questions and I agree with your answers to them.

If we are hypothesizing for the sake of argument that Jason did commit the murder, and trying to figure out when he formulated the plan -- I would guess that he formulated the plan between the time that he visited MM in October (?) and the week leading up to the murder. I think this is a pretty narrow time frame.

Why did he plan it for the weekend of the big football game? Because that is the weekend that he had to go out of town for a sales meeting, something he could use to establish an alibi.

I still have questions though - he or MM testified that he and MM were talking about a rendez vous that weekend but decided against it because he had guests coming in town for the game. I dont believe it was stated that his sales meeting and having to go out of town was a reason they called off their weekend together.

So when exactly was this meeting scheduled and did MM know about it in advance? Or were they planning on getting together while Jason was traveling for the sales meeting?

The meeting was scheduled 2-3 weeks in advance and he talked to MM on the way there, so I am pretty sure she knew ahead of time.

Very interesting points. IMO I believe JY had been doing some thinking about getting rid of MY for awhile. I imagine he always figured he'd do it when he was scheduled to be out of town, but maybe not thought it out in detail. I would love to know what he and MY argued about the night before the murder when JY threw the remote at her. I think that could have been the catalyst for him deciding it was going to be then. I do not think he thought it through. I think he believed that he had the perfect alibi since he could prove he was out of town on business.

But, to me, it seems like he drew so much extra attention to himself when he knew he was not only going to be looked at, investigated, and, scrutinized beyond belief......why talk to MM at all, once his plan was formulated and why the heck argue with MY about anything, she was going to be dead soon.

He did testify he was going to check sport scores in the USA Today... and he had just been on his computer on sports websites.

Lots of people watch old sporting events. And who knows if he looked at everything he wanted to online. If he was betting, maybe he needed to firm up his research.

You took the words out of my mouth. He know his phone and computer would be scrutinized. There was no plan here.

IMO, it just makes him look more suspcious. Like he didn't want his swipes recorded. I mean he left his door ajar with all his belongings in there even his computer and to leave twice??? I understand MAYBE leaving it like that to run and get ice but never to leave the floor and go outside.

Obviously you have never met my husband, lol.

MM actually talked about his meeting and him being out of town as one of the reasons.

Especially if you look at the floor plan and see where his room was compared to the stairs he said he took and the emergency exit he used to go outside twice. His room was on the clear opposite end of the hotel from the emergency exit.

And he did not forget his key card - he intentionally left it in his room twice when he went outside and he intentionally left the door ajar while he was gone, and also intentionally used an emergency exit that prohibited re-entry, requiring him to also prop that door open.

That is simply not believable.

Where was his car parked?

What? I really dont understand what you are saying or asking.

They did not look for people who were actually seen leaving the scene of a brutal double murder because it would be too hard to find them.

And to add insult to injury, they tried to intimidate the witness WHO IS 100% CERTAIN of what she saw.

Sickening.

As you said earlier it is hard for us to think like a murderer but I just think JY totally believed he had a rock solid alibi and did not think much beyond that.

I know it is not easy to think like a murderer. I am trying to be objective and figure out JY's plan and when it began and why he thought it would work.

Lets start with the insurance policy.... Substantial has been the word used to describe it a lot, would it draw suspicion with the amount under the circumstances of this being a murder case? YES

The affair with Michelle Money that wasn't being kept a secret. JY had even told some of his friends about it.
And, all of the emails, texts, phonecalls to each other? Would they be discovered? YES.

Why did he pick the big NC State game weekend, with everyone coming to town and yet decide to go ahead when Mr. Fisher supposedly cancelled? What difference did it make if Mr. Fisher was coming or not coming to town? None.

What was his plan and when did it begin?

The earlier theory was that this was his third attempt on her life. The first attempt was apparently when they were boating, she fell into the water, and he didn't help. The second attempt was during a visit to Brevard when Jason was going too fast around a curve in the road, over corrected and drove down an embankment where the car ended up in the water. Michelle was in the early stages of a pregnancy at the time and the pregnancy ended.

The officer that attended the accident was very clear in stating that it was an accident, and not an attempted murder.

Thanks, and the point I am trying to make is why not just be the best husband ever on the days, weeks, months leading up to the murder. That's why I am trying to getting into the time frame.
Because, everything JY ever did or said in the past is going to come out and we have seen that happen in this case and many other cases.

any pun intended on that rock? :)

That's a really good point. One point that really stood out for me with the Scott Peterson trial was that Scott made sure that Laci saw her sister shortly before she was murdered by having her half sister cut his hair ... he brought Laci with him for his hair cut, and her half sister showed her how to curl her hair. After they returned home with the pizza, he suggested that she phone her mother. He was a perfect gentleman leading up to the moment of the murder. Jason was the opposite.

If you are talking about CB as the witness who was 100% sure, she also went on at length about if that was the day the News and Observer person was not the regular person then she was absolutely sure. In rebuttal the regular N&O person testified he was working that day in his regular vehicle. Also CB's boss testified about CB always getting into everyone's business at work. I do not beleve CB saw what she said she saw on that actual morning.
Also FH who was a charming sweet lady was confused and said she was never on Birchleaf!!!!

Incorrect. She said IF it was a News and Observer delivery van then it was not the normal carrier.

And I would hardly call her a busybody when she didn't contact LE immediately.

I am not calling her that her boss did. He said she was constantly involved in he said she said which lead to lots of conflicts at work and he constantly had to intervene.

He thought he could get away with it because of being out of town

And what I am saying is she did not get involved in this immediately. In fact, she asked her boss and he was the one who told her to call LE.
