There is. The register receipts were presented in court. IMO, when Gracie testifies that JY's car was the only one she means AT THE PUMPS. The former client was a minute earlier and had probably driven away. The newspaper man didn't come in every morning for gas. He came for coffee. He was probably not parked at the pumps. I believe Gracie. Her testimony is unshakeable to me. I understand the need to discredit her but it doesn't fly with me. She held her own, she didn't lie, she told it as it was. And she nailed him. MOO.
The step mother's feelings don't concern me. Step-mother/step-daughter relationship vs husband & wife. This was MY's loving husband dissing her at every turn, on the witness stand, just to save his hide. Butter could have melted in his mouth. Did you notice the respect he gave to CS and MM and their testimony? Are you aware that MY's father called JY a chameleon? MOO.
I wish I had taken notes. Not sure I can stomach it again. IMO, he was not a bit sincere. Disingenuous and dishonest. He back doored all his unfavorable comments. Even went as far as to blame her moods on pregnancy! When he stated she was upset about her father cancelling his visit he said it was all about her! She didn't understand that her father had cancer! She was full of DRAMA. In the meantime he is emailing GC and bedding MM. Are you kidding me? MOO.I didn't think he dissed her at all on the stand. Certainly nothing gave me the impression that he wanted her dead. I think this is why it was 8-4 NG. He seemed very honest and sincere.
I am sure that Gracie saw someone. But she described him as "having a little hair" and just slightly taller than herself. She testified that she is five feet tall. She could not describe anything about the clothes he was wearing, or anything else about him. That is not nailing him. The ADA, Becky Holt was a lot taller than Gracie. Jason at six feet would have towered over her.
Gracie also testified that the regular customer was still there when the obnoxious person walked out and commented "That was a little weird."
There were several transactions just minutes before that 5:27 transaction and several after that one. Gracie only identified one as a regular customer. The one who was already there and who informed the person at the pump that he would have to come inside and pay before pumping the gas.
So maybe all of those people were regular customers???? All of them. It would seem that there should have been someone else waiting in line behind "Jason" because the next transaction was at 5:28, whether it was for gas, coffee, or whatever. There was one at 5:26 also, just before "Jason". That does not leave much time for a cussing out.
Is there a place where we can find copies of the actual receipts to find out if the 5:26 and 5:28 purchases were gasoline, coffee, or what?

Gracie's testimony is confusing and just forced, imo. Any customer around 5:27am would have to have been in line and saw Jason as well. Where are they? Didn't someone use a credit card, and couldn't they be contacted? It is like everyone disappeared in thin air !
Didn't anyone see the news? Just Gracie and her Mystery customer!
MOO.Totally believed him and didn't think I would, after all the rumors about him....
He made a good impression and if there were times he seemed unsure, it just made him more human. rather than someone who was rehearsed and had all the answers to all the questions.
Maybe he will testify again in Trial 3, if there is one.
The pre-trial hearing is when the Judge had to jump in and help Gracie. (May 20, 2011)
Witness Testimony Challenged In Young Case
www.abc11.com/archive/8142246/
"But when asked by the lead prosecutor if she could describe the man she froze and went silent. After a long pause, Dahms said I can't remember exactly".
"The Judge jumped into the questioning and Dahms said it was a white man. But when the Judge asked
her if he was bald or what his hairstyle was, she again seemed unsure"
Also she said she had met with investigators and prosecutors recently, and they told her.
"It's very important...........my testimony"

This testimony was troubled from the start! JMO
This is what we are talking about....a receipt that would show someone paying $20 for gasoline, but only getting $15.00, there has to be a record of that.
I wonder how the regular that was supposedly in the store got there. On foot?
It was sooo not forced. It was real and genuine. Gracie rocked IMO.
Gracie IMO was/is confused......

I think it was "all about her" if she was upset about AF not coming for a visit. It's okay though, we're all human.
Blaming her moods on pregnancy - I have no problem with that either. What is wrong with that?
