Looks like a tiny diaper, not something for a 2.5 year old.

I don't think that it looks like a "tiny diaper". I think it looks like a regular (not newborn tiny) diaper, one that could be a pull-up for a 2 year old that is toilet training. Given that it is left in the middle of the floor and appears to be dry (she was changed after she went to bed the night before), it looks like the child removed her diaper in her bedroom and left it dry on the floor. She was changed the night before. Presumably that was done upstairs in the bathroom or, if there's a garbage in the bedroom, then in the bedroom. The waste paper basket in the child's room could have a diaper in it ... given the patterns on the garbage.

That sounds weird ... "patterns on the garbage" that resemble a disposed diaper in the child's bedroom garbage can ... that was next to the door.

Regarding the dog, I have large breed dogs and if something really freaks them out, whether they're outside or inside, they'll come running. What I don't know is whether they run to me to protect me, or because they are afraid.

Mr G ran away from Meredith (rather than run to her because he was afraid), but still the dog ran. Meredith apparently looked after the child until she was a year old (something like that). Why did the dog run from her? Didn't the dog know her and didn't the large breed dog want to alert her to trouble in the home? Why didn't the dog want to guide her up the stairs. Wasn't the dog part Golden Retriever? Sure the dog had to go out, but animals are usually more instinctive. Was Mr G an old dog? My dogs are watch dogs, so they come to me to alert and protect.

We don't really know much about what the dog did when she arrived because she testified that she heard him whimpering but that she doesn't recall ever seeing him inside the house. Then we hear her talking to him (911 call) to get him to walk outside with her and then he disappears apparently.

He was an older dog, very calm, rarely barked. A lab mix.

Is there posterior livor mortis, yet she was found facing down, front of her body towards the floor? If Meredith moved her, or rolled her over as she was asked to do, but that would mean that Meredith rolled her into that position, and that doesn't make any sense. If there is posterior blood pooling and she was found facing the floor, then it seems that she was rolled over after rigor mortis set ... perhaps four hours later?

If she was murdered closer to midnight, all the lights were on at the house between 4 and 5AM, and a vehicle was seen at the house and at the end of the driveway afterward, then it's possible that the body was moved ... perhaps to retrieve the rings. During trial, were crime scene photos and body position only available to the jury? Was there a drawing of the position of the body?

It didn't sound like Meredith really tried to move her during the 911 call and the operator felt it was clear she was dead.

It was said that the blood evidence showed she was moved so the intruder could get into the closet.

She admits she was more than "off" during the time of Michelle's murder through both trials. She described it as being in a deep fog and finally she was diagnosed with Celiac disease.

Sorry but those are not polaroid snaps. They don't print attached together. The camera was the investigators. Isn't that what was said at trial. I don't rememebr anything at trial being mentioned about placing pictures to dry on the counter. They are u/s pics.

And I can't quote Sstar's comment from the now closed thread, but I did watch the trial and I remember when the video was shown. What I'm saying is it would be nice to see the entire walk through. WRAL didn't show all of it due to the nature of the crime scene. I would like to see it myself without any interruption. I remember they turned the camera down at certain times.

It was to be the next morning which was why I think that Michelle left the trash bags out.
I wonder if they inquired with the city sanitation dept. if there was trash in front of 5108, because we know Jason cut the grass that day too...

Did you think Raven was guilty? I did, what a frustrating case that was to follow. All those years waiting for an arrest and they finally get him only to have him plea down. He was lucky that one juror held out.
I feel so bad forJanet's family...His parents are still raising KA, I believe.......

I have a problem with these photos. We know how Meredith entered the house per testimony. I don't think anybody knows how suspect entered the house.

Posting these photos showing suspect's entry and walk through houe is supposition at best......

There was one one dresser.....this wasn't only JY's dresser. There was a bed, dresser, chest, and bedtables.

LM says the photos appear to be ultrasound photos. The camera in the kitchen appears to belong to the investigators and is not a polaroid camera.

I feel like she embellished her testimony. Something seemed off about it.

I don't think we need to start bashing Fiona Childs. She was one of Michelle's best friends. A very intelligent and well spoken woman, she was an Estate Planner and is also an Attorney.

Mr. Smith's testimony followed Fiona's and I found this elsewhere.

The amount of Jason's life insurance policy per month was $80.00
The amount of Michelle's life insurance policy per month was $140.00 (almost double)

They do appear to be drying out and are not attached. They also aren't on the counter in one of the photos. Officers would have no reason to move them and then re-shoot the kitchen counter because it then wouldn't be an accurate crime scene photo.

I want to mention the hose in the back yard. Meredith heard it running because the faucet is directly under the kitchen window. To hear it running, it needs to be turned on full force, just as you do when using a sprayer on your hose. The force of the water makes it leak at the faucet AND the hose/sprayer connection. The water running most certainly could have been a big deal as some of you want to downplay.

The lots on this side of Birchlef go up in the front......level out.....then go down in the back. You can see this in the photos. You can see the construction of the deck. The lot has a downward slope.

Water runs downward. The sidewalk was wet as if the hose HAD been running. Much has been made of no puddle, but if land slopes the water runs off. This I know firsthand as our lot slopes and with any water ie: rain, water from hose, etc we always end up with a "pond" in the back of our property.

Another thing I want to mention are Michelle's window treatments. So much has been said about intruders and Shelley's being afraid, etc, etc,etc. IF Michelle was nervous at all about any of this why the bare windows? The only window with blinds on the back of the house was the bay window. Over the sink, french door.....neither of these had any blinds/window tretments of any kind. I think this says something as to whether or not Michelle felt afraid at night.
