MOO. This note looks like it was written by a child (reminds me of that trope of a child writing a note for the teacher to explain their absence from class). What's going on here?
🙋‍♀️ I did write a note like that! And it worked. (Didn't work the second time, though.)

I wish we had an update on the search. But, I've learned that sometimes when LE is quiet, it's because they are busy working the case.

Does the kiddo have siblings?

That info has not been provided by LE or MSM and we cannot discuss unless it is.

Fair enough, I was just curious if it had been mentioned

I wish we did have more information, any siblings? any pet dogs? What was the household like.

I’m wondering if the mom or other family are possibly immigrants (perhaps on overstayed visas or who entered country illegally) and she/they are afraid of ending up in Ice detention.
This is all just my opinion & only speculation of course! Even if she/they are legal immigrants they may be worried about deportation. I know that doesn’t outweigh the urgency of the missing child, I don’t think it does. I’m simply reserving judgement on the letter/remaining anon until more is known. I posited earlier it could be fear of a previous abuser or something like that.
Obviously the police know her name right? If she’s cooperating with them, i’m not sure what value there is (to the search for the kid) for the public to know her name & face at this stage. JMO
Nah, I'm thinking this a homegrown family local to that rural area. imo

My first thought when I see stories like this is that the child may be autistic, and a "runner" who is attracted to water.

When that’s the case, that’s the playbook law enforcement draws from. We’ve seen absolutely none of that here.

That’s why alarm bells have been going off.

There has been no Ian alert (emergency notification system alerting the public when someone under 18 years old with autism or other mental disabilities goes missing and their safety is at risk).

Can you share the news article with the comments, if it’s from a trustworthy source? Thanks
You can share the news article with the link. Would you mind emailing me the link to the article first so I can see the comments? It is a grey area about discussing the comments. I would like to read them first before we say you can discuss them. Please email me the link to [email protected] Thanks.

Also, no Amber Alert has been issued due to lack of suspicious circumstances or evidence.

The pessimist in me finds it interesting for an entirely different reason: Was today going to be the first time someone outside of his household saw him in a while? (I'm wondering if he's been missing longer than reported.)

This is all very much MOO. I haven't seen any solid reasons to suspect foul play.
Exactly. Sounds like Inside Job.

He looks clean, is thin build, 5’1” that is tall for 10 yrs old

Situation seems off

I wonder what additional areas refers to, some area not near the residence he was reported missing from?

Has the zoomed in photo of his face been retouched in some way to make it look less blurry? It might just be my imagination, but it looks slightly odd

This little boy doesn't look well. IMO, dark circles under his eyes, extremely slim. Concerns me how he looks. Are there any siblings? Would like to see how they look.
If the height is correct, he’s tall for a 10 y/o.

His two aunts are questioning some of the information that’s been given about what took place.

“There’s some stuff that just doesn’t add up in this case,” said Chyy Salyers.

[…]

“As two aunts and mothers, we question a lot of the information ourselves,” says Salyers, who, along with Aunt Samantha Bunty, says there’s a lot that doesn’t add up.

[…]

“He’s a good boy. He is very sweet, loving. He is very hyperactive. He likes to be on the go 24/7,” said Bunty.

But they say he would never venture out in the dark and try to climb the rugged terrain that surrounds his home.

“He does not like insects at all. Or the dark. Up in the hills any child can go anywhere but it seems so unreal he would go up there,” said Bunty.

They say Jayden can be hyperactive and that can be difficult to deal with, but they say this has been almost too much to handle.

“Tore up, shocked. Heartbroken, confused. Don’t now if we are coming or going. Don’t know where to start,” said Salyers.
