JBR's siblings nowadays.....

Someone on FFJ or here claims to have known Burke or a friend of his at Purdue and said that Burke had confided in his friends that he could remember nothing at all about that Christmas so I guess he may just have nothing to add.

That would be me. I know someone who went to Purdue with him, and Burke brought up one day out of the blue that he doesn't remember anything, that he kind of blocked it out. So...take that as you will.

Hi Voynich, what i understand is that you will put Burke's facial expressions, body language etc into consideration (if he's ever interviewed , that is)..

Havent you felt that the Ramseys' expressions and way of replying in some of their interviews , if not all, were a bit suspicious??
John strikes me as aloof and detached..Patsy was too dramatic for my liking...i felt there was a general lack of spontaneity in their replies ....
But maybe it's just me...

I have heard claims though that JR is aloof and detached and PR dramatic pre-crime.

Yes, i do feel that Oprah would suffice...who knows...there's a good chance that she asked for the Ramseys to be guests on her show and they declined...or maybe Burke recently..
were the Ramseys ever interviewed by Oprah??

It's hard to second guess his motives for remaining silent other than wanting a private existence and a life other than just being JBR's brother.

That's good enough for me.

In all truth, the Ramseys probably believe that Mary Lacy's exoneration of Patsy means they no longer have to dignify speculation about Patsy's involvement with a response.

If I ever get this thing published, they might not have any choice.

Certainly, it is principally on the Internet that the case is discussed and the Ramseys and their lawyers have made clear their disdain for us. They probably think they'd be stooping to conquer if they tried to persuade the 'beer can collectors' of Patsy's innocence.

I've got quite the receipt for them!

They probably also don't want to open up Pandora's Box....

There used to be a playwright (his name was Sam Shepard, too) who wrote about families who had agreed never to speak about the dead child lying in the backyard. That's what I liken it to.

Not only betrayed :(
They left her behind under the Christmas tree as soon as they could............:furious:

I've said it a thousand times: this wasn't a miscarriage of justice, it was an abortion.

I so agree with you.
Makes me think of a certain forum which closed after the R's exoneration........so much for wanting to catch the real killer eh....disgusting..........you know, the only thing that really breaks my heart to tears in this case is imagining JB dead and alone under that Christmas tree.I am a tough cookie,I rarely cry and when I do it it's because I am angry not hurt...........but this image is killing me............

You're not alone.

I would like to see Burke under the hot seat, cross-examined, hell Oprah or Larry King would be enough and depending on how convincing he answers, facial expressions body language,

if I feel he seems untruthful in answering the question "Did your parents kill your sister", "is this your mother's handwriting" "do you believe an intruder killed your sister" "was there sexual abuse of your sister" "what do you know what happened that night?" "do you think the intruder will be caught" "have you ever worried this intruder might come back to kill you?" "did you ever worry that your parents might kill you?"

I would change sides and join the Dark Side w/SD. The RDI Sith Team.
:truce:

All kidding aside, much as I don't like it, at this point I'm short on ideas. If there's a chance, I believe it should be pursued.

I don't know who the best interrogation person is in the business but whoever that person(s) is, I'd like him grill Burke. A polygraph would also be helpful. Video tape it, create a transcript, and post it on youtube.

I hope that the RDIST is open to the possibility that polygraph and interrogation of Burke might produce evidence of truthfulness in the other direction.

An interrogation, sure. But I'm not very big on polygraphs. I devoted an entire chapter to them, in fact.

Just spitballing here, but hypnosis, properly applied, can be helpful where memories have been blocked out.

JR was a few months ago. Sadly, it was like her usual work: lousy. No, if it does happen, it CANNOT, MUST NOT happen on Oprah or Larry King or anything like that. It has to be done by two experts in police interrogation. Personally, I like voynich's idea of Smit and Thomas. (Though I might substitute Kane for Thomas.)

IMO there is one and only ONE person on this planet who can tell us what happened and that person will NEVER say anything.Even if there would be an arrest/charge that person will plead "not guilty".100%.We will never know what happened that night IMO.
Burke can't tell us.He sure has been brainwashed by now and maybe it's best for him.
One person knows the truth and it ain't the "intruder".

IF there was also an accomplice(cover-up) that person won't come out and talk either, not if it didn't happen for so many years.

BUT
IF there was an accomplice and his DNA will match one day he might spill the beans.Guess this is one of the very few hopes I have re this case.

Just crossed my mind........could it be that one of the biggest mistakes the killer made was not knowing that the coroner CAN see the difference between a single sexual assault and long term abuse??

Thats one point i've never figured out was the "chronic" many times or one other time around the 23 dec (as one pathologist said, forgotten his name sorry).

I'll say. It isn't fair to Messrs. Klaas and Lunsford!

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kuu_IfYOX7U"]YouTube - Marc Klaas - Its Our Duty[/ame]

"I never considered not cooperating
and i never considered hiring a lawyer"

"We bring these children into this world
and its our duty then
to do whatever we can to protect them

and that includes totally cooperating with law enforcement
right down the line"

I LOVE YOU,BOTH! :rose:  :rose: :blowkiss:

All my respects in the world for these two!

has JR remarried? I heard he was dating Natalee Holloway's mum. Are they still together.. if they ever separate then maybe she will write a book revealing his dirty laundry???!!!:Banane31: maybe she's picked up some clues from his conversations, mannerisms etc...
I know this is an unlikely scenario, but there's always hope...who knows...

so frustrating isnt it..we could be debating here for the next decade, and even , by some odd chance, ALL the followers of the case may conclude that yes indeed, it was RDI.... what's the point? what will ever come out of this???as long as there is money and power and corruption, Jonbenet wont get the justice she deserves..
sad, frustrating, appalling...but true..

Thats one point i've never figured out was the "chronic" many times or one other time around the 23 dec (as one pathologist said, forgotten his name sorry).

Chronic, in this case, means happening previous to the time of death. Injuries at the time of death or associated with the time of death are termed "acute". The chronic injuries may not be able to be "dated" to specific dates (like the Dec. 23rd party), but the varying degrees of healing or the progression of bruising can indicate approximately how much time elapsed from the injury to death. I don't think the specific number of times can be determined.
What we know from the coroner's classification is that she was molested at least one other time previous to Dec. 25.
