JB's Pants and Underwear???

Absolutely right, Ames! PR could've bought a hundred pairs of pants. But we all know they didn't want LE to keep any of the clothes they wore that night too long. And I read that LE said that when they finally got the Rs to turn over the clothes they wore that night, they all looked new and unworn. And the R lawyers had stalled this for so long so that the Rs could say that they really didn't remember if these were the exact clothes! Actually they were able to use the "I really don't remember" excuse quite a bit! That is a well-known defense tactic. Stall questioning for so long that the person being interviewed can be excused somewhat for not being able to recall.

Yep, I heard about that. I had also heard that they turned over a couple of different outfits a piece, because they claimed that they couldn't remember what they were wearing. YEAH RIGHT! Just something else to throw the investigators off of their scent. Now tell me...if your daughter had been murdered, God forbid... and you were asked to turn over the clothes...not only would you NOT wait a year to do it...but, there would be NO WAY in he*l that you would NOT remember what you were wearing that night...the last night that you saw your daughter ALIVE. Am I right, or am I right?? Yes, I am right....

Yes, you are right!

Not only would they remember, but they had PHOTOGRAPHS of themselves at the White's that day!

They knew, oh... they knew!

But once again, no one investigating this crime pointed out to the Rs that since there was photographic evidence provided, they should have no problem providing the EXACT clothing. I mean, most people don't buy "back-up" copies of their clothes. Unless you had committed a murder in them....oh, never mind.

I totally agree.

Maybe these black fabric pants found trurned inside out on the floor also had JonBenet's underwear inside them on which traces of soiling could be seen?

This is what I think, too. I believe that the underwear inside of the pants were stained...not the pants. I believe that she took off her underwear WITH her pants. My five year old does that ALL the time.

I know I've seen a picture of these inside out blue jeans, and they were bluejeans, with the underwear with the "skid mark" in them somewhere. I wish I had time to look for it . There IS a picture of this. I've seen it. They were in the bathroom floor, seems like right behind the door. And yes, it did look like she pulled them both down as a unit and then stepped out of them.

but pineapple is a fibrous snack;if you have kids you know that you certainly wouldn't want to send them to bed hungry, and it doesn't sound like she ate much at the White's.

JMO8778,

Pineapple contains a large amount of fluid, this is why it is one of the quickest foods to digest in a short time period, as small as 20min. It is also the reason why it can be stated with confidence that JonBenet snacked the pineapple shortly prior to her death.

Also we do not know if she had a drink, if Burke was present he appeared to possibly drink tea, maybe JonBenet had some coke or juice?

trixie,

From memory JonBenet was wearing blue jeans when out playing on her bike that afternoon?

Even if they were my ONLY pair of pants, if they were the pants I was wearing when the dead body of my child was carried up from the basement and laid under the Christmas Tree, I'd NEVER want to see them again!

UK Guy, about the black velvet vest- you are correct in that the vest was NOT on JBR wheh she was "found" and probably not on her when she was killed. It was certainly not on her body when she was "found" nor when the coroner examined the body. So it wouldn't be listed among the items taken from the body at autopsy. It was mentioned in the interviews with PR as being part of the outfit JBR wore Christmas Day to the White's. Black velvet jeans, matching black velvet vest and white shirt with sequin star, all from the Gap and bought together as a set. As JBR DID have her pants removed after she got home that night, the vest was likely removed at that time. Whether she walked into the house or not that night at some point she was partially undressed, so the vest was removed then. I think she was awake when they got home, walked in, and then got (partially) undressed for bed. I believe the long johns were put on her to actually sleep in, and not for staging, but we all know she never got to bed that night.

DeeDee249,

From memory Patsy identified the black velvet vest lying on an ironing board in a police photo in some interview, she never made any comment as to how, if JonBenet had wore it, why it was now lying where it was!

Well, I dont know why but this topic reminds me of Johnny Cash, so how about Patsy stressing the black velvet vest so to emphasise the black dress theme?

imo the long johns were placed upon JonBenet to hide her sexual assault?

A forensic anthropologist could likely make an educated guess. It would make an excellent project for the students at the Body Farm in Knoxville except they want to work with the actual remains and not photos. Boulder could still get an exhumation if they cared. I don't think any of us should hold our breath on that happening.

BOESP,
One of the results discovered at the Body Farm was that typically serious head fractures do not simply radiate out from the point of contact. Apparently once a fissure or radiating crack reaches another point of demarcation, say an eye socket, it will radiate backwards in a non-linear fashion creating another fissure, alike the cracked egg look.

So I think you are correct, but it would be more than an educated guess that could be offered.

UKGuy, I'm going to respond to this in the Skull Fracture thread.

I said in an earlier post that I wondered if HE was the one that put the size 12 bloomies on her (Patsy probably got them for him)....and that is how the fibers from his shirt were transfererred. As you said....in the process of staging.
I too think that's how the shirt fibers got there.

what strikes me is that Patsy could have helped her wipe better,I always kept baby wipes around long after the kids were babies.or was she just too darn lazy to do that?
I know JB had soiling issues, but ALL of her underwear was stained? sounds like she wasn't helping her very much.
Despite all that grooming she had to undergo for her pageants, JonBenet seems to have been quite neglected in that respect. But it fits the picture I have of the Patsy - everything was done for show, and she didn't care what was behind the glamorous surface.

Me too. (Sorry Rash. I couldn't help but think that was funny -- sort of like "Patsy's Medicine Drawers".):blowkiss:

Steve Thomas is on record stating JonBenet wore the gap-top to the White's party.
Correct.
imo JonBenet was either wearing the red-turtleneck when killed, or it had been removed to faciltate a sexual assault, or it was intended to play some part in another staging scenario?
I believe the red turtleneck was put on the counter by Patsy because JonBenet refused to wear it to the Whites' party. Patsy said she and JB had a tiff about that - Patsy obviously wanted both mother and daughter to wear red turtlenecks. I think Patsy finally let Jonbent have her way, balled up the turtleneck and put or threw it on the counter.

English is not my native laguage - why is it funny? Has it do do with the typo 'toot' instead of too? Just curious. :)

Toot is a slang for passing gas.

Yes, "toot" instead of "too. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I apologize if it sounded that way. :)

No, I wasn't offended at all. I was just curious because I couldn't understand the joke since I didn't know what this word could possibly mean.
I did look up 'toot' in my dictionary, but its slang meaning was not listed in it. But now that I know ... LOL! :D
