Not buying it Dave. I just don't think John was in to children. There's been no evidence of that from his other daughter or from searches of his home and computer. In fact the evidence points at Burke, who was caught beneath the covers with JB by LHP.

Of course anything is possible but I don't see the family standing behind John if this crime were a result of his incestuous relationship with his daughter.

I honestly don't understand those who think that it's impossible for John to have sexually molested JonBenet just because he didn't sexually molest every child he was ever near.

Something has just dawned on me..
Ridiculous ransom note... Could it be that the ransom note was written so long with so many details by JR to convince P that it was a kidnapping and not to call police.. Maybe his sole purpose was to horrify P saying if you call police she will be beheaded repeatedly and she won't see 1997 etc. He only threw a few often used phrases of P in the last paragraph in case..Last thing he would want to see at that moment with an unfinished staging would be police but P did made the call thus J's angry voice in the tape..

Who else would put the RN to the back stairs P used ? An intruder would not know she used those stairs and LH or husband would not want to incriminate themselves?
And then the draft page starting Mr and Mrs I ... almost like an invitation card ..
I don't think an intruder would ever start addressing like that ..Has to be a reason to delete Mrs ...
Anyway if this is the case, and P had nothing to do with the crime and the coverup then she was truthful in saying that she only read a few lines and didn't see the don't call the police part and rushed and called 911 immediately..
She also could have felt something creepy with J and called 911 and the friends.

His initial plan could be a kidnapping and he would hide her body out of the house in the morning saying P that he would go out to draw money from the bank or sth
OMG this sounds very probable to me just now.. Thoughts are flying in my mind so sorry if this is so confusing.

Plan 2 kidnapping gone bad /body in the house after the 911 call.

The ransom amount was a low amount of USD. 118.000 he would easily throw away if necessary while applying his plan.

If John and John alone did this crime, he made an awful miscalculation in thinking the ransom note would discourage Patsy from immediately calling the police. I think John would know his wife better than that and wouldn't go to all that trouble to see his carefully-laid plan go out the window as soon as Patsy woke up.

IMO, the RN is simply a cover for moving JonBenet into the wine-cellar, she may have been moved from the breakfast bar, i.e. Kolar's opinion, or say her bedroom, i.e Thomas' opinion, or even BR's bedroom?

If you find a RN and hubby is close by then you are going to discuss first before hitting the phone, even without the we will kill threat etc.

Also what would guarantee Patsy would even notice the RN at her feet so early in the day?

JR would need an airtight scenario if he were relying on Patsy to play ball?

If JDI, I believe there is enough circumstantial evidence to convict him. But at his current age I doubt he would be imprisoned long before he too died. It would be bittersweet justice. Bitter because if he did it, he would deserve to be imprisoned much longer than he would serve before his death by old age. Sweet because at the least, JonBenet's killer would be identified and convicted. I am in the BDI camp but would be happy to have her murderer brought to light, regardless of who it turns out to be, and I definitely believe it to be RDI. An admission by John would sweeten the conviction but I doubt he would admit to it, which would always leave a small room for doubt. But that is the problem with this case. I think prosecution and conviction would be great, but I also think the killer needs to man up and admit his guilt for any conviction to erase all doubt. I do agree that if JDI then John was the molester the night of the murder, and also responsible for the prior molestation. And if so, Patsy may or may not have known, or perhaps knew and was in denial. There is no reason why Patsy would have had to know the ransom note was fake if she did not write it. But her calling all their friends over immediately after calling police strikes me as her knowing and being complicit in the crime, and as a further attempt at covering up by contaminating the crime scene. So if JDI then I do believe Patsy knew, or at least had suspicions.
