GUILTY Jennifer Blagg - Re-trial of Michael Blagg 20 February 2018

Re-sentence him? What will happen, will it revert to original sentence I wonder.

Court is in recess for about 20 minutes, then will proceed immediately to sentencing, at least on the charge of first-degree murder.

It would be nice now if they were allowed to take the cameras into the courtroom.

Just got off phone with Marilyn Charlesworth, juror who led to #Blagg retrial. She said there have now been 24 people who have found Michael Blagg guilty. Says she feels like this is closure for Jennifer Blagg’s family. #9News

Maybe they just send him back to prison? To serve out the rest of his time. Wonder how that works?

I'm thinking his original sentence was likely revoked Niner, so they have to sentence afresh.

“For 16th years, Michael Blagg has lived with the real and horrifying truth that a serial pedophile, a serial killer, someone took his wife and daughter,” Fang said during closing arguments.
Ultimately, the jury unanimously decided not to believe that narrative.
Michael Blagg was also convicted of abuse of a corpse, use of a deadly weapon and stealing furniture and a paper shredder from Ametek Dixon.

Here's one person you should take a moment and remember today: 6-year-old Abby Blagg. She disappeared on Nov. 13, 2001 and still hasn't been found. I'm keeping everyone impacted by the tragic and senseless loss of her and her mother in my thoughts.

Yes Tortoise, I feel the same. After reading the verdict on here, I immediately felt this wave of sadness all over again for Jennifer and Abby. And Jennifer's mother's face says it all. I'm so glad for her that the jury wasn't taken in by Blagg, that would have been the ultimate victory (especially with taking the stand himself) for this type of socio/psychopath. I was getting worried there but ultimately it's a good thing that the jury took the time to weigh everything up properly.

I doubt he'll ever give answers about exactly what happened to Abby. Looks like some of his family still support him so he will have to maintain his innocence to them. I think it's probably the wisest approach for Mrs Conway to think of Jennifer and Abby at peace together and that she will see them again in the future, although I'm sure that it took and continues to take a huge amount of work and strength to banish the thought of that night and that landfill.

And to repeat, vindication for the LE officers who worked so hard so ensure Blagg didn't escape justice.

Are there any clues to where Abby may be?
Presuming she didn’t end up in the landfill.
Where are those pictures taken?
Were there any places Abby really enjoyed going?
It would just be so nice to bring her home.
