Ken Jennings can relax.
On Monday, the reigning “Jeopardy!” contestant Matt Amodio lost his 39th game, leaving Jennings’s No. 1 hall-of-fame spot safe. Amodio, a Ph.D. student in computer science at Yale, had the second-longest streak in the game show’s history, earning him $1.5 million in prize money.

It's been a great series for him. (Captain Obvious speaking).
Thanks for posting this, as I've been out of TV range this past week.
Anyone know a site where I can stream Jeopardy? TiA

“I always wanted to be a ‘Jeopardy!’ champion, and I accomplished that,” Matt Amodio said.

I'm so glad he finally lost! I had boycotted watching Jeopardy for a while b/c the show got boring--he'd run the board, get all the Daily Doubles, and the game was always a run-away. It's just not fun when there's seemingly no competition. Now I'm rooting for term limits on Jeopardy winners, LOL!

I agree. It was disheartening that some contestants barely got the chance to ring in, let alone respond to any clues. DH kept watching but I was tired of seeing contestants not getting a fair shake. It must have been very discouraging for people who auditioned and were selected to participate on the game show and then not be able to actually experience playing Jeopardy!
