My mistake - September 12th was his last day of football at Christopher Newport University where he attended in 2003. Thanks for bringing that to my attention for clarification.

The sketch is based on a 2005 attack. He looked much more trim nine years ago. As someone who has followed the Harrington case extensively, I think JLM has a lot of similarities to the sketch -- most noticeable are his nostrils and eyes. The sketch seems to really detail very round and wide nostrils. I think they look very similar to JLM's. Also, the eyes have a very similar shape.

Thankfully, all of this speculation can be put to an end definitely one way or the other when the DNA testing is done. The sketch alone isn't going to result in charges for anyone. Too general. I know a woman who looks just like that sketch, other than the facial hair. The expression is dead on, And her four sons, some of whom have facial hair also look a lot like that sketch, all of them.

Frankly, with that sketch, I would't have been looking for a JM look alike.

Cassandra Morton definitely fits the proposed JLM criteria/pattern of both Harrington and Graham.

The fact that JLM ran to the beach in Texas, certainly makes Brittanee Drexel who disappeared at Myrtle Beach 4/25/09 during Spring Break, a more likely case as well.

I think he's still thinking about and in a sick way, trying to 'undo' the mess he made of his college years, trying to stay around college atmospheres, getting revenge on the girl, the schools and the police, perhaps.

Let's look for other Spring Break disappearances on all college Spring Break meccas since 2002 when he was kicked out of Liberty and 2003 when he left Christopher Newport University. The thing is, it's always hard to compare police sketches to real people. There is always going to be differences. What you can look for is certain similarities, though, and I think many would agree that there is something about that nose and the shape of those eyes. I also imagine that being the rape victim, you might very well have a lasting image of nostrils, eyes, and mouth as they are right above you, breathing on you and looking at you.

But, Brittanee? I mean anything is possible...but MB is 393 miles from Charlottesville. Now if we could find evidence that he traveled there during that time frame, then my spidey senses would tingle. Does he have any contacts in SC that we know of? Was that one of the states listed on the wanted poster?

just wanted to say remember the sketch came from someone grabbed from the back (i.e. didn't see the attacker prior to attack) who was traumatically attacked likely including blows to the head and choked till she was unconscious all in the dark. In addition to that victim often do not focus on the attackers face. You can't expect all the details to be exact and JIMO i don't see how anyone can deny that it looks similar to him in a general way.

Yes, that's a good point, but in an article about the attack (will find link in a min.), it states that he stopped her and talked to her prior to attacking her a few minutes later. She got a pretty good look at his face during their conversation, I think.

Maybe he decided he'd go for a spring break too with all the college kids.. Lots of people do that I'd be interested to know if he'd been there during that time frame too.

All--someone posted a football picture of jm at liberty (I think) and I swear it was in this thread. He was. Uh slimmer and with short hair. We should compare that pict to the MH/fairfax rape case. Lips much thinner. I saw a striking resemblance but I had not done a side by side comparison yet. Am I crazy or can someone please re post? Hoping it was not removed. Thanks!!

I understand that most people disagree with me, and that's ok. I am simply saying that personally I do not think the sketch resembles JM whatsoever. Just as I cannot convince others that he doesn't look like the sketch, you won't be able to convince me that he does.

Times, they are a changin.. The technology has advanced tremendously in forensic sketches over the past decade. Sketches from five years ago do not compare to the 3D color sketches of today which look almost like a photo due to software advancements, etc.. This very valuable investigative resource is available to state and local LEAs upon request.. Wish more LEAs would take advantage of this resource for serial predator and other violent crime investigations. Combined with social media awareness, this effective took would likely save many innocent victim's lives in the future, as well as providing new tips for cold cases..

This sounds like JM style, stopping and casually talking to strange women before abductipn/rape (putting arm around HG, stopping car asking woman if they wanna hang out)
