Joan Van Ark! What Happened to you?!?

  • #41
The thing is, it is a BAD photograph which was noted by the poster. So all comments made after the " bad photograph" notation ARE cruel.

The lighting is wrong, and the photo has been given a purplish tint. Joan Van Ark isn't purple any more than you or I are purple!

How do you know that?

If she had an Obagi Blue Peel she most certainly is blue.

Hi PD-

Multiple photographers were there. These are more pics at another site:

Sorry but she looks like she has had a medium plus depth Obagi Blue Peel to me on skin that is already too thin. I think she is blue and tried to cover it with makeup.
JMHO of course.

WHAT!? Didn't you just scold PD for being cruel? LMAO.
I think Cindy crawford can where whatever she wants!

One is a bad photo, the other is a natural photo. Both women are pretty.

There's nothing wrong with wearing a 1 piece swimsuit as far as I can see. Is there something wrong with it in your eyes?
Cindy Crawford is a pretty woman, but she would look prettier in a one piece swimsuit. Most women over 40 probably look better in higher cut 2 pieces or a 1 piece.

I know you are friends with PD. I am not in a spitting contest with either of you. I recognize that we have different opinions, but I do not consider a faked photo in horrible lighting of a 64 year old women the same as one taken from several different angles in natural sunlight of a 41 year old who was a super model.

I think that pic was taken in 2003:

I am all for women doing what they need to do to feel better about themselves, but it breaks my heart when they take it this far. I think she looks desperately unhealthy. I have always liked her for her wholesome, toned-down look. Wrinkles are far better than an over botoxed forehead, imo. But that's just my opinion. :twocents: The forehead doesn't go with the eyes and the neck.

IMO.
Oh HI IM. I posted it because she already looks pretty surgerized in that photo.

Because I know humans aren't purple unless they lack O2 supply.

I am not getting in a fight with you and Jelly. OK? :)

I thought that I read that she had surgery even way back when she was doing her television shows.

PD can take care of herself.
I am talking about your post.I don't think the photo of JVA is faked. I think she has been faked.

You did exactly what you condemend PD for doing. No more no less. No matter how you spin it.

I know...I was just shaking my head about the change in her. I loved her without all the brow pencil, eye liner and Botox.

Diane Keaton is a great example of a woman who has embraced her age. I think you have to really tone it down at some point or it is just scary. IMO

No one is fighting with you. We are responding to your posts. Who wants to fight about Joan van Ark?! No one!
If you have never seen anyone with after a Blue Obagi peel, you may not relaize that a blue tint remains on the skin.

ETA: the ridiculousness is in the fact that there is an article about her stretch marks... not that she is in a 2 piece for gosh's sakes.
I thought that Cindy looked great. She is definitely toned. I'll trade bodies with her. :o

Back to Joan: I must confess that I never thought that she was attractive and always thought that she had very stringy, thin hair. That's coming from a gal that also has stringy, fine hair. ;)

I hope that blue peel is worth it! :( <---face post peel

Doesn't Diane Keaton wear gloves on her hands all year 'round? Smart woman, if she does. My hands looks like an old farmer's wife. :o

Hahaha I have always wanted one, but never have had enough time to be blue. LOL.I have to give JVA credit for going out like that because I wouldn't!
It doesn;t last very long.

OMG! Mine too! I never wear gloves and I use harsh chemicals to clean with.

I don't scold anyone, nor did I use the word " diss". PD herself said she was trashing Van Ark in her own post. And she did.

As far as I know, Joan Van Ark has never hurt other people in the ways that MJ and Brit are said to have done. How a person treats others is a lot more important than what they may or may not look like, IMO.

All I said was that it looked like a very bad photo in bad lighting. I believe the photos were taken in weird lighting.

I am sooo superficial!
