I am posting this query on behalf of a new member who is somewhat apprehensive about posting .. .

Just a shout out to all new posters and lurkers who join us but we never hear from . .. .
please tell us what you are thinking about in this trial and what has gone on so far!

JA confronted Bobby in a bathroom about his cheating, she murdered TA in his bathroom -knowing he was going to Cancun and she was not invited . . . . any thoughts on the "bathroom" angle?

I think the "bathroom" is where someone is their most vulnerable . . . . sitting on the floor of the shower naked . . . . most vulnerable. . . . behind a locked door with (usually one exit) . . . . where JA went to cry when TA was flirting with the other woman @ the convention . . . . where you feel like "toilet paper" . . . . . where the linoleum and the shower fell apart @ Bobby's parents (grandparent's house) when she tried to clean it . . .
new member: that was one heck of a good idea/thought.. :rocker:

This is big-time moo. K?
Here is a big reason I do not think she is straight up psychopath - we haven't seen a history of criminal behavior.
She has always kept a job, no stealing, seems to always want to pay her way - not psychopath behavior.
Definitely controlling, lack of empathy, no boundaries indicates Cluster B - I'm thinking borderline and/or narcissistic personality disorder.

Check out this episode of Wives with Knives. Whatever this lady has, I think it is what Jodi has:

Note what the forensic shrink says at the end, she'll never kill again as long as she never falls in and loses love again.

This episode is fascinating. But which woman do you think has what Jodi has?

lol...I think it was the angle and her body position coupled with the material the pants were made from. I have a cheap pair of khaki's that make my butt look like I've never met a twinkie I didn't scarf :)

Her pants have to be big enough to allow for the stun device to fit underneath.

In terms of thinking everything that comes out of this lying liar who lies' mouth is lies, this is my thought.

There is a grain of truth in every liar's story.

So there are grains peppered in there.

But for me, unless it's corrborated by anything or anyone else, I'm going with the vast majority of what she's saying, especially now, as being fabricated. I'll pick a percentile...let's see 97%.

I think she makes up so many fantasy stories in her head or borrows them from movies and TV that reality for her is so far afield from anything factual that she lives in that world. So that's what we see. With her agenda of trying to save her life, that ups any antes of credibility she might otherwise deserve.

I'm rewatching some testimony. Nurmi's frustration really showed yesterday when she started rambling about her trip and confusion about Oklahoma vs. Kansas City and he semi snapped at her. Anyone else notice that?
Arias' affect was strange yesterday as well:twocents:

I would like to hear your theory. I unplugged my corded flame-thrower and poured myself a tall glass of Sassy water.

Expound away!

No flame here.:seeya: But I do think she is/was looking for the whole package. A man well respected by his peers, with high values and goals, social status, good looking, and of course money never hurts. She needs to validate herself and believes that by being loved/needed by a man with those qualities she, in turn, would be viewed as having the same qualities. Perception is EVERYTHING to Jodi.

Who isn't looking for the whole package?
I mean we're mostly women here, none (very few?) of us want to hook up with some guy who has no income and lives with his parents.
I don't think that makes those of who feel that way gold diggers.

I believe she is too. Her demeanor and narcissism is very young teen, and I don't think she could maintain that through several hours/days on the stand if it were not inherent. Nurmi is definitely playing it up, imo. Interesting, though probably nauseous, what the DV expert will do with it. Forensics prove she was the killer; the murder was overkill; and circumstantial evidence concludes premeditation. I could see the defence originally going for 'crime of passion', but self-defence??

This is what I thought as well....a crime of passion. She said " because he attacked me".

She did not say he physically attacked her.....just attacked....could it be a verbal attack?

Just trying to figure out where they are going with this.

This is an interesting theory I heard from one of Travis' friends yesterday.

"I bet there's a mile marker between here and Utah somewhere that has a number of some significance to her related to Travis and about 50 feet off that marker you would find a gun, knife and whatever trophies she's hoping to go back and visit one day".

Eerie.

Holy crapola! Well, she's given us a couple of "special" dates. Who wants to go for a road trip and check out this theory?! (I seriously have goosebumps over the thought!)

She looks to be about 5'7" or 5'8" and at the time was probably closer to 130 lbs. She is probably a bit thinner today from living in jail. Daniel said that she was a bit taller than Travis.

:) I forgot she's taller than her shrunken chair makes her seem.

Good post. I was bothered by Jodi's pointing out that the woman had ample "cleavage" that rubbed against Travis. The easily understandable circumstances caused jealousy and discomfort for Jodi because she perceived the action to be overtly sexual. I thought that her comment was just plain mean given the fact that Jodi has had breast implants. I'm sure the jury doesn't know about this, but Jodi must have thought that her own "cleavage" was lacking at one time and decided to do something about it. During her testimony, Jodi has made many of these "holier than thou" comments that make her very unlikeable. :moo:

I think in her boyfriend DB that she lived with and was in relationship for 4 yr stated in his testimony that she had implants was one of juan's questions

I was surprised because everyone says she is so tiny. She does not look that thin. I think she is much heavier than that.

I am about that and was surprised at how chunky she looked walking in the courthouse from behind. Denial. Time for a mirror look for me

Wow, I thought she looked absurdly thin and bony

Just curious:

Aren't there similarities in behavior between psychopaths and those who have experienced frontal lobe brain damage? TIA for any info.

I've done it before and ended up with a subpeona. ;)

My impression is she looks very thin and frail. With a huge (evil) head on top.

Wow, I thought she looked absurdly thin and bony

She definitely looks thinner and more waif like than her pre-arrest photos.

MOO I think she has done this on purpose for this trial.

SORRY - I thought you could watch the full episodes. The episode was called "The Scorned Socialite". The name of the woman was Nancy.

Did Jodi know that it wasn't Lisa?
Yeah, Mimi testified that Jodi walked up to her at the memorial and introduced herself. Besides Lisa looks nothing like Mimi.

Since we have a break in the trial, I've been listening to testimony from the beginning of the trial. Right now, I'm listening to some of the recorded phone calls between Jodi and Flores. Just listening to that makes things so clear to me. She just has too many weird details to offer and her version of the story just sounds so made up. She doesn't sound the least bit sad. She sounds like she's trying to convince someone that she's too good for Travis... like she wants sympathy or something. This is just SO weird.

I don't see her as a gold digger. I think she was looking for love.

PS - I get that those of you who think that she is pure evil will have a problem with my theory, so flame away.

I do not see her as a gold digger in the least. She was "happy" while living with the vampire in a filthy home without electricity. She was not hooking up with guys with a lot of money.

I, too, think she was looking for her concept of love.
