Wish I could remember if her chair is lowered, lol.
I think she is an abuse expert or something...can't remember.

Wow, good point. I'm watching the replay now. It sure looks to me like the "stunt double" has raised the chair up. I wonder if JA or someone will remember to lower it again.

ETA: And now, in another clip it's lower. I don't know if the clip was before or after the last one. Hmmmm.

I love what Beth Karas just reminded us of. Before Jodi had sex with TA, Darryl Brewer siad he and Jodi were equally aggressive in their first sexual encounter. Then comes Ryan, a few hours after the murder and she is sexing him up and dry humping him! Poor little Jodi, nymphomaniac that she is. And remember. There is a text or an email where TA told Jodi he was nothing but a dildo to her. Who was using who??

After everything they have seen and heard, I think they're immune to shock at this point.

I was quoting someone...where did the quote go?

The coming JA cross exam will be very challenging. To do this effectively and convincingly will require careful planning and tact. The sheer volume of irrelevant unimportant minutiae JA has spewed out so far can all be deconstructed but this sort of analysis takes time. Martinez needs to bundle large swaths of testimony and cleverly point out that its content is misleading or frankly false. Martinez must be selective when debunking JA early testimony.
I think Martinez needs to dwell on June 3-5 2008. To explode JA lies and explanations will not be easy. Regarding the “appearance” of premeditation JA will invoke the claim that TA really wanted her to come to Mesa. TA beckoned her as part of his “booty call” habits.
JA description of the crime scene will lack specifics because she was engulfed in terror. The struggle and murder will be described as a “blur”. High detail memory evidenced by all tiny details offered that are over 8 years old will appreciably degrade as JA moves from June 3 to June 5, 2008. Prepare to hear “I don’t remember” hundreds of times on JA’s cross exam. On June 5 JA was in a state of shock and denial. “Oddly” as JA transitions from the shock of her heinous self-defense homicide a “dreamy surreal” psychic state will settle in. Her post homicide clean up and crime scene preparation will be carried out in a trance like state. JA will testify that a kind of automatic pilot function kicks in after TA has been killed. She will come to the realization that she actually survived TA’s murderous assault on her. She will describe a phenomenon of coming to the realization - she survived and her lover did not. The bloody clothes and weapon disposal occurred because of the dreadful realization that a “dead but otherwise beloved Travis” was still with her. She needed to rid herself of the “dead Travis” and live as if beloved Travis were still alive. From June 5 onward JA was in a profound state of denial and was essentially functioning in an autopilot mode.
In other words JA’s account of the TA shower, attack, self defense, and post crime fugue state will be elaborate and well rehearsed. The account will be corroborated by her paid experts. JA will tenaciously cling to the “excuse outline” and refuse to admit to contradictions or any dissembling at all. Her account of the 29 slashes to front and back, the gunshot wound, and the parked corpse in the shower will literally be a “work of art” and as audacious as the “suicide” notice.

Why don't we all sit back and let Juan Martinez be Jaun Martinez? I am pretty dog-gone sure he can handle this. He has done it a few times with success!

Yeah, the arm motion - ugh. First extending his arm as if to loosen his shirt sleeve, then the hand to face and that big watch -I hate that!

I also cringe at each:
1. "Well let's back up"
2. "Let me ask you this..."
3. "Let me ask you a question". (For crying out loud, just ask the question!)
4. "So let me understand what you're saying" then repeating exactly what she said.
5. Everything else he says.

~that's all!

"At this point in time..."
"At that point in time..."

Bingo!

Great catch! My first impression was that whole package was fabricated straight up to the melted chocolates. Then after court realized that was the general consensus of Travis friends. That he sent no such box ever. I believe she made that t shirt / panty thing herself. That entire package had "girl made this" written all over it. They had just become a "couple" but somehow he found time to play Martha Stewart, write a letter, package it all up and mail it to her in time for valentines day! Sorry don't buy it.

When my husband saw the pink undies he said it looked like she went to Micheal's and bought stick on letters. LOL!

i've noticed that j.a. has been saying "sorry," rather demurely, after JM objects.. it made me wonder if this is a ploy to seem intimidated.

I noticed and commented on that the other day too! I think that's exactly what she is doing. Thanks for mentioning it lol I thought maybe I was imagining it :)

Did she mention what temp the fridge was at and how long it took them to get hard again?

I'm almost positive they will cover that on Monday :D

Good morning everyone :-) If the jury believes JA, what happens? She has said she killed Travis, so what will happen? All this BS is just so she won't get the DP, right???? She'll still go to prison? Thanks :-)

If the jury finds her guilty she will go to prison (either LWOP or DP). If the jury believes her self defense story she will go free.

I don't think the option of life with possibility of parole is on the table.

IMHO she will be convicted.

The jury is gonna hear the "dildo with a heartbeat" comment? Yes? The repeated invasion of his privacy email?

i despise this woman. I can't stand the way she talks, her voice just angers me more, the way she says "travis alexander" or "travis's" she sounds like she is talking lovingly about him, wait, she went out with him for what, 5 months?? I'm not a prude but I am disgusted and embarrassed by her, with her sexual stories and her anal defense. She's a liar, i hate her ramblings "2 ninjas with beanies on their faces" "he entertained the idea of vampires" , " he licked his lips before he spoke" how she tries to act demure for the jury when she has used her sexuality all her life to get by, "bill clinton" MORMONISM, how dare she put the family through this trial it's been 5 years, they only dated for 5 months!!! How dare anybody feel sorry for her for not getting what she wants & turning this trial into a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 circus. how dare she steal TA life and steal him from his family.

As I recall JA did note the temperature of the refrigerator and also the items found on the top and bottom shelf. I think she said the refrigerator was a GE Model ES7091 with a MSRP of $749.98.
She mentioned also that a quart container of chocolate mint ice cream (Ben & Jerry brand with an expiration date of July 23 2007) was melting because the freezer door was ajar.
Nurmi asked JA how she felt that “melted ice cream” was discovered. JA paused and thought a bit about that and blurted out “like I had been mugged and robbed”. Nurmi then asks “but how did you really feel inside?” JA waited a moment and opines “ I felt horrible like a dirty napkin covered with dried ice cream”

I have complete faith in JM. He will know exactly what "dance" he needs to do and when.

It's when she is talking about Travis holding up a drunk girl and how JA stayed in a bathroom stall for 30 minutes crying.

I have to say that sitting on the toilet stall crying part really touched me.

I think it is a bit creepy how this guy has been seeing JA in jail for the past year. He is labeled the new guy in her life. He has a striking resemblance to TA. It really stood out to me.

I think TA was MUCH more handsome. I think this guy wants 5 minutes of fame and has a death wish (literally)!

I shocked she didn't whine it was scratchy one ply toilet tissue!

More, Zeno! Best take yet on JA's curious recall. Thanks for your fine sense of humor! :great:
