"At this point in time..."
"At that point in time..."

Now all of these are going to drive me nuts ALONG WITH

"Okay"...inhale followed by the "need a drink" cluck of the tongue. It has been driving me crazy the entire time.

My statement I am afraid is what starts this (the one about pollyanna and means I can go kill someone). I was being very sarcastic, and in no ways was intended to be a statement of fact. I did not realize it would start anything. If it such an offensive comment to you I apologize. I will refrain from making any more comments.

Aw don't stop making comments :-) I for one understood what you meant!

If I were a tax paying citizen of the county hosting the trial, I would be ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS at the abuse, IMHO, of everyone's time along with the accompanying mounting expenses as a direct result of the DT's approach to questioning JA - discussing seemingly irrelevant minutiae ad infinitum.

IMVHO, that approach is backfiring on JA in a very lethal way!

How crazy made up does her answer look, when she starts spewing nonsense and then says, "I'm sorry, I forgot the question." lol

I have to say that sitting on the toilet stall crying part really touched me.

I was more moved by her candid admission of the need to lift her feet off the floor to avoid discovery by a loving and concerned friend.

Wait - is this also the part where she felt like a piece of used toilet paper?

See this is what I don't get, is JA saying Travis attacked her on the day she murdered him, he attacked her so she had to do all that she did to Travis that day to defend herself? If that's the case why all the BS about her whole life, why not just stick to what happened on the day JA murdered Travis? I honestly do not understand how anything that happened before THAT day can be seen as her having to defend herself on THAT day. What does her mother "beating her with a wooden spoon" have to do with her having to defend herself against Travis on the day she murdered him?

IMO because what happened, according to Jodi Arias, on the day she killed Travis Alexander will be so weak as to support the claim of self defense that the defense needs to do whatever it can by dragging TA's family, the jury and the public through every moment of Jodi's empty life to try to get one juror to feel sympathy.

Is there a wrongful death lawsuit out there?

Or it hadn't been flushed before she got there and had to suffer with that. :floorlaugh:

I'm not 100% positive but iirc LE was watching her..she was packing boxes in a car. They arrested her and mom asked about the gun ... LE recovered it hidden in the car, rental after it was returned?

So her mom knew she stole the gun from her G-parents? If so, sounds like another family we all know, children stealing from the G's

Oh no!! You're getting sucked in! lol
It sounded like a junior high thing to me. "Oh, I really want this boy to like me. Maybe I can send a note to him through my girlfriend in 6th period to ask him if he likes me??"
This juvenile play by play is so irritating to me, and I hope to the jury as well.

BBM - I think the DT will have an expert come on and say JA didn't leave TA because "abused" often don't feel abused and or they protect their "abuser". I also think she is weaving a lot of truth in her lies. And she can't make him out really bad yet as at this point in the testimony they have only been together a few months ("officially" a month:)

Imo, if she makes it too horrible early on, she knows the jury won't be as sympathetic to her for the "abuse" later. :seeya:

I have to say that sitting on the toilet stall crying part really touched me.

Last night in the chat someone brought up an excellent point...

JA said she was in there 30min and would draw her feet up if someone came in and it was pointed out that public restroom toilets don't have a lid you can close to sit on.

So she sat on a public toilet seat crying for 30 min. yuckie!

Travis, what can I say to you that I haven't already said? I am so grateful for the endless hours of conversation and amazing experiences we've shared. Thank you for having the courage to share the Gospel with me. You've had one of the greatest impacts on my life, and have forever altered it's course for the better. I love you, my friend, and always will.

Poor Jodi, sitting on the toilet all alone and no one spared a square for her to dab her tears.

No, she did not claim it was rape. She said she did not like it, it was painful, but did not tell him no or stop him until it became too painful, at which time he stopped.

It was insinuated that it was unwelcomed and therefore from that the jury is supposed to infer that Travis raped her and is a brute.

As I recall JA did note the temperature of the refrigerator and also the items found on the top and bottom shelf. I think she said the refrigerator was a GE Model ES7091 with a MSRP of $749.98.
She mentioned also that a quart container of chocolate mint ice cream (Ben & Jerry brand with an expiration date of July 23 2007) was melting because the freezer door was ajar.
Nurmi asked JA how she felt that “melted ice cream” was discovered. JA paused and thought a bit about that and blurted out “like I had been mugged and robbed”. Nurmi then asks “but how did you really feel inside?” JA waited a moment and opines “ I felt horrible like a dirty napkin covered with dried ice cream”

*snort* :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Is there a specific Chat Forum you suggest?

Hey Legal, If you are using mIRC, you have a screen on left that says connect/servers/option/identd/proxy etc. Make sure you have highlighted on the left servers on that screen. and on the right there are options for the serenity servers, and indented second line is "random server". Make sure that is highlighted and click ok. From there you will have a new screen pop up and like any windows stuff, there is a bar on top that on upper left is "file". That is a pulldown. Pull down and click on "connect". From there you will see a listing of different chat rooms all starting with # sign. since webleuths is not an option, type in" #websleuths " in that box, and voila, you will be there. Remember to register using a screen name at WS (or another) , not your real name! We had lots there last night. Some have come in to the chat today, but left as those that were logged on were AFK (away from keyboard). So, if you do come to chat, stay logged in. I also change my name from ATL to ATLbackat1pm to let people know when I might come back to chat if slow. jawatcher and a couple of other folks came in and out today, and perhaps they thought they were in the wrong room.

Come on down!
