On the HLN show an hour ago, a defense attorney was really criticizing our Juan for not speaking up and taking more control of what is happening in the courtroom, stating there are many appealable things happening and he should be protecting the case in the event of appeal.

I'd like to hear the opinion of our verified attorneys here...do you agree?

I know we've all talked about letting her ramble, that it just gives Juanderful more to cross her on.

Soooo? What say y'all?

I must say Nurmi's amount of leading is really bothering me. Really.

Thanks!

I have to say that it made me sad when I heard Travis singing yesterday. I bet his siblings miss him acting goofy like that and making them laugh. My brother does that kind of stuff all the time and makes me laugh. My heart just breaks for them.

I made my family spaghetti for dinner. Hopefully that will keep them busy for a while. And garlic bread. Would you all like to hear the irrelevant details of what kind of tomatoes I used, and how long I baked the bread? Also, let me tell you about the time I forgot to buy the armigiano-reggiano...

:/

let me ask you this... how did you feeeeeeeel when you forgot the, as you put it, armigiano-reggiano....?

If you say sun dried tomatoes, I am coming over! :floorlaugh:

Sounds interesting to a foodie like me. Jodi's testimony on the other hand...lord, waste, huge waste.
Well, let me back up and start with how I was at the grocery store, feeling up the tomatoes.

Mark Eiglarsh was hysterical on the Dr Drew show yesterday. He's the attorney who said the prosecution should throw a party over the sex tapes.

Mark Eiglarsh:
"I think it was Aristotle who once said, 'She who introduces KY into the relationship is no abused virgin' "!!!!

HHHAAAAHAAAA!!!

That was great! Love Mark!

I'm a promoter of the people for the people and by the people and my magic lies in my people ties. I'm a promoter of America. I'm American people. You know what I mean? So therefore, uh, do not send for who the bell tolls 'cause the bell tolls for thee. -Don King

Makes about as much sense as JA, ya?

Esther is mentioned at ~52:15 on this tape from yesterday afternoon's tape-
Jodi Arias Murder Trial Day 17. Afternoon. Part 2. Questioning after tape. Complete. - YouTube . The lubricant talk starts at 51:30.

..."he was using Astroglide before that with Esther, she brought that over"...

I haven't been able to read all of the posts since this testimony but I haven't found any info on who Esther may be in what I have been able to read. From the testimony it appears clear that she is a woman and not a type of lubricant with estrogen. Has she been mentioned before as a former paramour of Travis' ?

I thought the lube was used for how do we say A-sex? :blushing:

As she stated the day before "it didnt hurt as bad when he used lube".

I listened to about half of the phone tape and didn't get to the sex part. Nothing I heard sounded cruel or abusive. It sounded like bhey were having a good time talking to each other. What a waste!

This was mentioned at the end of the last thread, but I want to mention it again. VP said that he thinks JA recorded the phone call so she could blackmail TA into breaking up with any other woman by threatening to play the tape for them. (approx.)

I agree, I think that was the exact reason. The stuff about the 12 year old just happens to work for a defense for her.

I felt like I was going to get a headache from the fit my son pitched because he can't eat babskeddi without parmesan.

FWIW - I don't think the recorded "sex tape" was part of the murder premeditation at all.

She premeditated the murder and her plans to get away with it, but she didn't come up with this whole self-defense mumbo jumbo until much later, probably at Nurmi's suggestion or one of the other leeches on the DT.

Hate to say it, but if she had actually done a better job of premeditating this self-defense angle, she would be in a much better position legally. AND, she would have called 911 immediately.

JA's only plan was to sneak into town in the middle of the night, kill him, and then leave undetected. With the assumption that no evidence would ever tie her to the scene of the crime. Big mistake on her part....

When our prosecution is finally allowed to question Jodi I'm going to start singing 'Here comes your man' the way we did for Jeff Ashton.

Ugh. I set my TV to record about the time Jodi was taking the stand. I left to go to lunch with a friend, just got home, and it didn't record! :furious: What did I miss? Anything good? Did they get into the killing yet?

I'm watching TruTV and HLN.

It sounds to me like JA is well-versed on what the media and websites are saying about her.

Yesterday, Vinnie Politan (among others) brought up the point that we don't know if the pictures of the little boys Travis was "enjoying" (according to Liey "if I'm talkin' I'm lyin" McLiarson) were actual child 🤬🤬🤬🤬, or just pictures of little boys like from a catalog or something.

JA picked up on that today, when she said that in the phone call with Travis she warned him that she would tell everyone he was a pedophile, and then she quickly corrected herself on the witness stand - 'well, it wasn't child 🤬🤬🤬🤬, it was just pictures of little boys.'

Either Sheriff Joe has very lax rules about offenders watching TV broadcasts of their own trials, or someone is giving her the feedback somewhere between the jail transport and the witness stand.

Beth Karas just summed it up: There's a sense of "Jodi fatigue" in the courtroom. Sounds like the jurors and everyone else are getting sick of her s**t.

Tigers don't change their stripes. Every stage of JA's life, everywhere she popped up, at some point people were getting sick of her drama. It's been a constant in every description of anyone who ever encountered her, including from JA herself during the Phone Call. No surprise that it's still happening now.

Bold by me.... I must have totally missed that in the phone call. Do you mean the sex tapes? I'll have to go back and listen, was asleep during most of the tapes because I couldn't hear it very well at all.
