And there it is. Jodi is going with Travis thought she's was going to his bishop (she'd never do anything to hurt Travis) and that Travis was in a "mood" all afternoon (and the sex wasn't that good) and needed Jodi to take photos of him in the shower, and that is what led up to the "incident", and thank God she had her "purse or backpack" in the bathroom and with the gun and knife, and she almost didn't get to save her life because she had to fumble in the backpack for them while Travis was beating the hell out of her, but he only kicked her a few times and chocked her, and it wasn't that hard and he never left any marks, and all the abuse she just snapped, and then she's tell us what snapped means, and she was in so much shock and disbelieving what she did that she just drove and drove for miles and miles and hours, not many,maybe a few, until she comes to and got on her knees and ask God for forgiveness and so that is why I said no jury would convict me, because I'm innocent. I would never do anything to harm Travis. Mark my words.

I think of Norman Bates when he was sitting in the padded cell and a fly landed on his hand
and he thought, " see they can see I would't harm a fly". Maybe Jodi is a Norman Bates?

I can't believe how far they are going to portray the most non-deviant sexual exchanges to a dark, abusive act.

I feel like they're trying to gamble upon either a strict religious attitude about sex among the jury, or they are hoping that jurors who simply don't understand or relate to these private acts interpret them as abuse.

Not only that, but Jodi consents to these act of her free will because she wanted Travis. It's not an innocent act. I know they're trying to set the stage that she was such an abuse victim in her life she couldn't say no however that has nothing to do with Travis. Her actions were not selfless, she wanted him. Even if everything were true and she depended upon him for self esteem, how was that his responsibility?
