Poem written to Travis May 18

This probably has been addressed but I have been gone today. Why in the world is JA's Mom wearing sunglasses in court and why is it being allowed by the courts?

Why did you feel inspired to write a rhyme to Travis ? Real answer - because I was obsessed with him.

Juan looks like he is falling asleep...like me.

She could, but if the prosecutor is not objecting, judge is not likely to intervene
Juan has the patience of a saint. I'm dying to get my claws into her from another flipping country! ;)

Hey defense team! Ever heard of post-it page markers? They come in real handy for referring to points in documentation.

This is freakin insane.

I was just commenting to my husband and said why aren't the pages marked with those stick-on arrows. I wondered if it would be "leading the witness" if the page was marked for her. Jodi is supposed to find the text? I have no idea. Best I could come up.

I keep waiting for a juor to send a note to the judge asking to be excused, their mind is made up and nothing will change it.

Lovely, lovely people, are we any nearer to knowing when Juan will get to cross examine her?

I haven't been able to watch Jodi on the stand for fear of blowing a gasket.

Can't the judge do something about this colossally slow testimony?

I have to wonder about this judge:slap:

Is anyone in court today that can tell us how the jurors are acting today?

Why is JA's aunt in sunglasses? Weird.

Prolly so she can roll her eyes and not get into trouble. IDK really, it was posted she had them on yesterday .

I don't want to get flamed here - but have had two poor experiences with women of retirement age on juries. It would be a long story to relate, but my experience is that sometimes older jurors are set in their ways and do NOT listen to jury instructions or admonitions. (Obviously this is hit or miss and not a blanket judgment of all elderly jurors, but my experiences had an impact on me, and in fact, one of the trials should have been a mistrial. I was not a juror on that one.)

I'm glad the way you defined that - you sound like you realize the generalization isn't really fair, but I might be wary of certain people if I'd had multiple horrible experiences as you have but deep down it doesn't sit right. I commend your honesty!

I will say that you would LOVE having my mother as a juror - she's 77, highly educated, works out, shovels her stoop, a woman of integrity and fairness (almost to a fault). She'd flip your fears in about 3 minutes, tops. :)
