Wasn't that funny, LC, when Juan asked about his 'mobile home' and Gus had to correct him that it was a 'motor' home. Gus wouldn't want anyone associating him with a *trailer park* for heaven's sake!

And then furthermore, he had to tell us it was quite large, in a long but not wide way. So we would be sure to know just how loaded he is.

I can't possibly keep up with these threads and how fast they move, although I try my hardest! I have to skip 5 pages at a time sometimes and always feel like I'm at least 10 pages or more behind in reading.

I just have a quick question, I suppose for a mod - How is it decided which trials have their own forum? I think it would be so much easier if this trial was its own forum and we could have discussion threads about each day (like these threads are); threads to discuss specific items like contradictions, theories, autopsy and medical stuff, threads for specific people (Gus, Chris & Sky, etc...), video thread (links or embedded videos), photo thread, "funnies" thread (for the great photoshoppers out there who give us a much needed chuckle through this horrific murder trial).... I know we already have a thread for legal questions, and timeline/no discussion, etc., but it seems like one forum with all of these threads would be so much easier for the posters to keep up with specific events.

Thanks in advance for the mods/admins consideration of letting us have a forum for this trial. lease:

Not a chance. The way his friends tell it, he considered her a stalker at this point. She followed him on dates, slashed his tires and the tires of Lisa Andrews and was telling friends she was hacking into his email, myspace and banking accounts. Oh, and there was the email he sent Lisa Andrews calling her a .

If she didn't drive there to kill him, why stage a burglary of the gun she used, why drive 90 miles from home to rent a purposefully nondescript car and why flip the plates on the car before she drove it?

I know you were responding to something else.. but I just had to jump in here (after looking at the hln map yesterday.. it is in the money thread as well).

When you look at the map you can clearly see that where she rented the car was on her way to the gas cans and the money (dude that was interviewed that loaned her money) and right on her way headed to Mesa. She did one, GIANT, premeditated circle from ykrea to the murder and home again.

My reasoning that she did not go there "to kill him" is he would have opened the door, she would lift the gun shoot him at close range in the face and he would be dead. She would not drag it out in a last ditch attempt at unconventional sex acts, photographing each other nude...and then what everyone wonders was the "straw" that broke the camels back.

Perhaps an ordinary person would have just shot Travis and gone off but Jodi is a monster in every sense of the word. I think she derived great pleasure in the actual murder of Travis. She wanted him to want her, to humiliate him, for him to be vulnerable, to scare him and then slowly kill him in a painful way. She didn't just want to get rid of him. She wanted the process of murder to be a work of art. She wanted to savour every minute. Like a gourmet meal.

Remember last year when Tammy Smith was on the stand in her own defense and the judge told them to "wrap it up"? Guess its not gonna happen in a murder one case, but we can only wish.

Prediction: First half of the day - the supposed call from Travis convincing her to detour to his house. And every red light between the car rental place and his house.

Second half of the day (if he can get his client to STFU) the abusive love-hate sex filled lust session with jodi crying, "But I thought he loved me!"

He very well might have if he has an email that he did not use anymore. On his myspace. I did see two pages he had. One public and one private. It does make me wonder if he did give her the password, but then again she could have been lurking over his shoulder to see the password.

She planned to kill him if he told her it was really over. It took him 12 hours to get that out.

And turn off your cell phone while in Arizona on the way to/from the killing ...and then attempts to clean up after to cover her tracks. What form of human being sleeps with a guy, viciously kills him, and then drives 12 hours to make out with another man with blood all over the rental car ? Not a human that deserves to live on this planet ... I'm convinced that when she was picked up on 7/9/08, she was preparing another trip to take someone else out, hence the knives and gun.

Ok, then this still makes sense.

May 10th she stages a recorded phone sex call - presumably she's been hacking his email and knows about the other women and wants to get sabotage materialfor defamation.

May 26th he figures out she's been hacking him again and he busts her. Friends of his say he bans her out of his life

May 28th she steals the gun - I think between the 26th and 28th we see the evidence of transition where she begins her premeditation for murder.

Your comments about the “staged sex phone call” interested me. You suggest that JA motive for surreptitiously recording this call was to obtain “blackmail” material on TA. JA would “punish” TA by threatening to forward the call to his other girlfriends. Such a call would be explosive and in the “wrong” hands the recording would most probably immediately torpedo any headway TA could make with other women. JA could also threaten to forward the recording to his Bishop which would put his standing within the Mormon Church in peril. Thus, the “recorded sex call” would be a very effective weapon against TA. Indeed she could use it to gain or “regain” control over TA. This makes complete sense and is very plausible.

I originally thought that the recorded call was part of the premeditation phase to the murder. The sex call would show police authorities how utterly intimate JA and TA were and that the relationship was on “firm grounds”. The recording would militate against “mens rea”
