Thank you CUCKCOOHEAD...
I have read these boards forever...always been interested in puzzles and mysteries.
It seems to me that many on this board have come into contact with evil
in one way or another. And the phyche wants to ask why certain things happen?
I was going to start posting and asking questions a few months ago, but I
just couldn't at that time.
I am up here in CT, and live in a little village right next to Newtown. I lived
there for 10 years...so it's been a rough 2 months...
DH has a co-worker who lost an angel that day, and it's been a heart wrenching time.
So please forgive me for any errors I might make as I find my way around
this online detective university.

Welcome and sooooo very sorry of your town

Good Morning!

After a long day of "Jodisms" I usually don't want to hear or see anymore. At 7pm NY time, I switch back and forth from JVM and Two and a half Men. JVM screams to much, but I can tolerate her sometimes. NG? Ugh! But at 9pm if nothing else is on I'll watch Dr. Drew.

Last night on Dr. Drew Gus  Searcy was on.

Am I crazy, or did he say:

SEARCY: OK. Well, when this all first, when -- well, here is basically this. I said help or hurt. Here is the hurt part. When the night Travis died, I got a call from Jodi at 3:30 a.m. in the morning, crying hysterically that Travis was dead. When this happened, I asked her what happened, how she was, where she was.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1302/13/ddhln.01.html

"The night Travis died"???????

Did he mean the night Travis was found dead?

Coz if it was the night Travis died....wouldn't that be a "bombshell"??

I normally cannot tolerate these shows, buuuuut…. ;)

I saw that - I did like how Dr. Drew cut off Gus when he was gloating on how special he thinks he is ("*I* accomplished in 90 days what it takes others 2 years, if ever, to accomplish…" bla la la), and Dr. Drew cut him off and said something like "OK, we get it, so people come to you for advice" LOL

IMO, I take what Gus says with a grain of salt, if that. I think he is still embittered that the pros. didn't give him the limelight he was salivating for, so he makes up and drops this supposed BOMBSHELL (insert eye-roll).

The most important thing I think I recall from Mr Gus Searcy's testimony on the stand, as a defense witness, is that all of the times he attempted to contact the States Attorney Office he never left a message about what information he had.

What he is saying now is a very big deal.

If you had information that Jodi phoned you the night of Travis murder and told you Travis was dead, yet his body wasn't found for FIVE more days- then wouldn't you leave that information in the message to the prosecutors office? Come on.

This guy is in trouble if he is telling the truth- mark my words.

In Session ‏@InSession
Gus Searcy: #JodiArias called me June 5th at 3:30a.m. and told me #TravisAlexander was dead, the night after she killed #TravisAlexander.

Did Gus attempt to personally contact Travis to find out if he was okay or in fact dead? Did he contact ANYONE following Jodi's call? If he had Travis could/would have been discovered much sooner than June 9th along with the recovery of potential evidence crucial to the investigation into his murder.

Well, if its true that it was June 4th then I hope Mesa PD is listening. Can't he be charged with something like accessory after the fact or something? Knowledge of a murder/death not reported? Anyone? They would have access to his phone records would they not and Jodi's Helio phone too? This guy just can't keep his mouth shut- I hope it lands him in trouble- I REALLY do!
I believe Gus reported that he tried to call the prosecutor's office with this info and was rebuffed.

Your joke wasn't lame! :) Just making sure I correctly understood it to be a joke since sometimes my posts in this thread are not well taken. Which is fine and understandable. I just didn't want anyone to think I thought there was anything "wrong" with liking pedicures or Susan Lucci!

No problem Karmady :) right after I hit the submit button I thought my post may not sound right but by then the deed was done.

My thoughts:

Jurors + outraged + threatened boycott + demanded day off + demanded DT be pushed along = Happy Valentine's Day and Relieved Jurors

At least, I'd be fit to be tied if I was on this jury! Talk about feeeeeeling like my time was being taken advantage of in a grossly overt way. I'd be livid! JMVHO.

Oh my gosh!!! I know!!! I was just talking to the hubby about how jacked I would be if I was on this poor, abused, verbally assaulted, sexually harassed jury with how often that court (in this trial anyways) is NOT in session. JA has all the time in the world & is SO into herself that she believes it impossible for anyone else to not be into her as well & that once she tells them her remarkable, amazing, & sexually titillating story of a beautiful romance that was so meant-to-be go physically abusive, that they too will be entranced, addicted, & hanging on her every word -for as long as she wants to keep spinning it. So sad for poor little chihuahua goddess JA that just like TA, the jury (as long as everyone else) appears to be SO NOT that into her & once again, she either just doesn't get the hint or just doesn't GOS. I said that all this delaying -at this point in the trial- CAN'T be good for JA & I think that it might factor into creating a little more disdain for JA when the jury goes to deliberate. If this happens to be correct, then I can accept the very frustrating high amount of days that court is not in session for this trial. Whatever gets that beotch the appropriate punishment that she so deserves and so earned (LWOP or DP).

I agree. If somebody called me and said somebody was dead there would be a flurry of calls on my part to find out what was going on.

Show the phone records to at least prove calls Gus!

Betty Broderick.

I think we will also see echoes from her Playbook as JA claims she took the gun to "commit suicide" in front of Travis. Til he "attacked" her.

IMO

Y'all don't shoot ME, but I actually kind of felt sorry for BB's crazy behind.

My dad did sort of the same type thing to my mom (though my mom was a sweetie) after she worked like a dog to help him get his business off the ground while raising four kids.

My mom, however was the epitome of class and grace and was very cordial to dad's little cutey even though I know it pained her greatly. She never even spoke ill of either of them, let alone shoot them.

But even though the end results are quite different, I can't help feeling sorry for any woman who was used and put aside.

Sorry for the Over Time!

What are the chances Dr. Drew will take a pass on this huckster?

Had him last night. I'm thinking Gus really really wants a part of this trial and is upset that JM isn't biting

Makes you wonder about the help or hurt Jodi. Help and say it was the night Travis was found or the hurt it was the night he was murdered?

Right, he himself admits he has two kinds of testimony ready. Funny, he is the only witness to claim he had information important enough to hel or hurt the case.
