Am I the only one having issues with DH for over-following this case?

Mine mocks me -- And why do you follow these things. I've learner to ignore and tell him not to mock.

I got my sister involved Ianthe tale end of fca trial and now she is somewhat following this. She was asking questions yesterday and I answered as a collective WS group answer today she questioned if I was following it the same way.

Red light and speed cameras were a big big deal at that time here in az. People are always coming up with ways to not be clicked. She told the investigator to check the red light caneras to see that she was never in az. Premeditated.

That is an interesting point because the detective at that point informed her they could only do that had she run the red light.

So that still begs debate
Did she either a) make that statement because she knew the plates were upright in AZ or b) make that statement because she knew they couldn't capture her on film without a violation?

I saw this post by "Chad Perkins" on TA's Myspace. I wonder if JA set up a dummy account with that name so she could post and embarrass TA. TA might have added "Chad" even if he did not "know" him. He could have thought it was somebody he had met in passing at a PPL convention. I remember in the early days of MS and FB people were adding "friends" left and right even if they had not seen them since grammar school. If "Chad Perkins" is a real friend he is warped. IMO

"Chad Perkins
Twas two nights before Christmas, and all through the greater Phoenix area, Travis was cruising for underage boys to make his Christmas more cozy. Have fun, just don't violate the terms of your probation!"

I think that might be more recent, I saw that disgusting post on the JA's innocent website (which I went to on accident more or less to find out when tesimony started yesterday).

I don't buy that tho - too risky that she would get pulled over all bloody and with weapons when needing to make a speedy get away!

I'm not saying it was a smart plan... but I do believe that was her plan. She did lots of things to 'leave no trace' of her being in AZ. Or maybe sge wabted to get pulled over in UT for alubi. I just think it fishy that she said "go ahead, check out the cameras ... I wasn't there..." how could she be so sure that she wasn't caught on camera?

This was straight out of Jodi's mouth

I heard her say she screamed at him and called him a pedophile, but I didn't catch the sodomy quote. She is disgusting.

She is a mockery for true abuse victims. She hurts the cause not helps it.
Indeed. And I honestly just cannot help but hate her more every tale she weaves.

We see the same thing very often in family court. Because so many have claimed spousal or child abuse in retaliation, out of spite, or to improve their chances of gaining custody those truly experiencing it are very often not even heard. It's beyond infuriating.

I hope Juan plays the interrogation video again and the calls to the detective. We see Jodi lying over and over again with no problem. She even tells the detective to look into one of his ex roomates about Travis' murder. We see/hear her trying to pin the crime on someone else. trying to ruin that persons life by having them wrongfully investigated for murder. She is doing the same thing to Travis. Calling him a pedo, abuser, caffeine drinking, astrogliding, monster all in an effort to save herself from caught. She offered his ex roomate like it was nothing. How can you believe anything that this person says? Juan needs to ask the dv "expert" is it common for the victim to pin the crime on someone else? and wait for the silence in the courtroom. She also bad mouths her friend that she lived with as well, calling her flighty etc.

I'm thinking the her atty kind of mentioned that when he was rehashing that sex tape over and over and over. That seemed more his words not hers. She clarified it by stated it was like the 17-18 year Old. Jmo

Chad Perkins was a friend of Travis' they went to elementary school together and he may have participated in PPL with Travis at some point. If you are reading thos MySpace accounts you will see that Travis made certain goofy juvenile homophobic jokes right back at him. Chad actually appeared on Nancy Grace early on in the trial, and he appeared to be a strong supporter of Travis. I have known about these remarks for quite some time but did not want to just put them out on this board, being unsure if the defense reads here and could twist these things entirely out of context.....and we know they are good at that.

I've wondered that ... horrible if true. Maybe when he saw her he sunk to the floor of the shower in shock ... that sort of defeated 'oh god I give up' kind of way.

My thought process would be, she takes the pics of him in the shower, and since she is so nit picky and details every darn minute of her life, why not capture this. So he says, "hey, it's cool you came/visited or whatever but I'm going on this trip so later" he gets in the shower after sex, she is beyond angry that trip is still going forward with other female, gets dressed, plans to do what she was going to do, which was kill him if he still wanted to go thru with trip, strips the bed, puts sheets in the washer, takes pics of him in shower, waits for her moment and strikes, uses the flash to disorient him...jmo

If I was a juror, the thing that would be in my mind is; Jodi was asking Travis to be her boyfriend and he said no. It's that simple to me. I really need nothing more.

Now show me the self dense in his murder. You convince me that Jodi wasn't on a trip to get to Travis, to gain control. That she needed to make it official, and stop Travis's final rejection of her.

Show me that Jodi didn't go there to harm Travis in some way. Give me a reasonable answer of why a gun and knife were within easy reach in the bathroom, and tell me why this is not a murder from a woman scorned.

If I were on the jury, this would be my interpretation of the evidence presented in court so far. Unless the defence comes up with something earth shattering, I see no reason to think otherwise.

Relationship: Toxic

He was obsessed with the readily available 'dirty sex'.

She was obsessed with the high life - conventions and banquets held in prestigious locations; travel; luxury cars; and access to a circle of highly motivated achievers - all presented in one package by a popular, single man, easily controlled by her 'dirty sex'.

Motive: Revenge

When she could no longer deny that 'men like him didn't marry girls like her', and she was despatched back to Yreka, she manipulated texts, emails and telephone calls to be used in a smear campaign to bring him down. Something happened before that was accomplished. Whatever took place, it signed his death warrant.

Premeditation: Definitely

It looks to me as though the decision to kill began shortly after the sex tape was recorded. I think she may have played that back to him the next day, announcing that revenge would be sweet, and became enraged when it didn't have the desired affect. There is plenty of circumstantial evidence showing efforts to cover her tracks back to Mesa, with a stolen gun in her possession.

First Degree Murder: Guilty

No matter the spin, a slashed throat can NEVER be self-defence!

All the above is my opinion only - written down out of boredom, on a snowy afternoon, with no court in session.

I just wanted to make a couple of comments/observations:

If her credit was shot, how was she able to rent a car? I thought you needed a credit card, a good credit card (lol) for that.

Also, with regard to the jury having to listen to all of her incredibly detailed ramblings. Being able to remember her Starbucks orders from over four years ago for example. If I understand correctly, they are not aware that she has been i jail for the past four years. So, wouldn't it be even more incredible for her to remember all this detail if they believe she has been out living life the past four years?

If she had the credit card before her credit went bad and made the payments on it then it would have still been good. She just wouldn't be getting any new credit cards or loans.

Her ex being an alcoholic / smoker (gasp - but hygienic (ain't she sweet:banghead:)) there's some other LDS women. She doesn't care. She truly feels that she is the victim -- Travis and friends are minor speed bumps and she is driving the train

Glad we can agree to disagree ;) Honestly, she's a sneaky little ___ and I think she was just calling his bluff. She said the pix on the camera could have been from an old memory stick...or her hair, prints, etc. were found bc she lived there before for months and months (which btw I don't think she ever did bc she's yet to say that on the stand!!). Flores even shows her pix of her naked and she has the nerve to say that it does kinda look like her...I think she said check the cameras to challenge his authority and try to throw him off. Just my opinion ;)

IMO she had the gun on him at this point and she shot him 1st, and he didn't die as expected, he goes to the sink thats when she starts stabbing in the back, MOO gun jammed. I tried crawling away down the hall she final had to slit his throat, then last pic she is dragging him back to the shower JMO

Like someone said earlier...I hope Juan asks her how she FELT after inflicting each wound she did on Travis.

That's what I want to know too..

Wasn't there a man seen with her at the rental car place? Maybe that's what she needed him for? :waitasec:

Because people don't understand Diane Downs. I do understand it though, most women, do not want to let go of certain types of crimes where they are 100% culpable because we, as awesome as we are are, historically and still are being marginalized and hurt merely because we are female.
