Zeno49, you and I were watching two totally different crosses on Thursday. I just read your most recent post on the last thread. You said the jury did not comprehend what Juan was doing and him starting out by repeating what Josi said that her sister was dumb was forgotten.

I beg to differ. I didn't forget a thing. And you must believe the jurors so have suffered through all this testimony are dumber than dirt.

I disagree with everything you said. Jodi did comes across as arrogant, self serving, and a psychopath. The jurors get it and you will see when Juan closes and he will totally bring it and she will be convicted.

wait a minute. jeez, about the time i think i know things about this case, i keep finding out i don't!!

she says she was at his house on 1/21 (pedophile day) because he needed her to move boxes? is that right?

that was a NEW confabulation that was busted up by Juan with phone records

  • #163
I'm not sure but think that Juan showed she could not have been there that day at all.

i was asking about her version of WHY she was there that day to witness this pedophilia episode. did she claim she was expected? because if so, that would be a hell of a time to decide to pull out the kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬---when you're expecting company.

kinda like heavy petting with a girl when you know jodi's coming to get her SS card.

Jodi would never seriously consider killing herself IMO

Narcissistic Personalities (which is major component of all the Personality Disorders) love themselves too much to consider committing suicide. The only time I would think they might consider suicide if they are in corner where they have totally lost all control, no ability to focus on getting what they want, etc. (CAGED).. Then they "might".

Any theory as to why DB's memory was so poor during his cross with JM? Did he catch the "Jodi brain scramble" after all those years sharing the same bed? I rewatched the cross of DB and he just did not seem to remember barely anything from what interview JM is referencing.
I am about to was Gus's testimony for the first time.. from what I have heard, it will be something else!

after rewatching her version of the murder (and all the inconsistencies and lies) I am hedging a bet that juan will have her up on cross about just this testimony alone for at least the better part of a day :moo:

maybe he could reenact it with other people acting out the roles.

remember susan wright? kelly siegler brought the dang bed in the courtroom, tied up an assistant and straddled him in front of the jury.

That was so freakin' awesome!!!!:great:

There were a few posts regarding the clear plastic cup in the shower in the last thread. I think she used it to rinse blood off of him. Turning the shower on wouldn't necessarily rinse him off well since he's not moving. I think she used it to rinse him off and any blood that might have been on the shower walls. MOO

I am so excited so many ofyoungoing will be in court tomorrow! On last thread, I think I counted five. Please send us some posts afterwards. Katiecoo said she would too.

Now I am spinning a bit about the black eye.....hmhmmmmmmm

don't spin!! he died too fast to develop a big black eye. his heart wasn't pumping for more than a minute or two after the start of this murder. no time for real bruising.

Washed up Linda ... washed up. No one knows the amount of blood she actually had on her.

She would be covered head to toe in blood. Look at the blood spatter up and down the walls in the bathroom. It would be in her hair, ears, arm pits, finger and toe nails, everywhere. I bet even after a shower she missed some spots.

29 stab wounds, each one causing splatter, let alone the spurts and gushing coming from severed arteries etc. UGLY!

That *(&(*& will be up for parole a little more than a year from now. Unbelievable.

I still believe in gunshot first. I have been unsure a few times. But I keep coming back to Travis being a kickboxing wrestler in very good shape. I don't think she could hold him off with just a knife for very long, without being injured herself. He would have fought hard against a knife and probably gotten it away from her. He would have been stabbed but she would have been injured too. Unless he was somewhat incapacitated immediately. JMO

A stab in the heart would do it (both physically and emotionally).

I'm just catching up on the threads but this is clip is...wow. (My apologies if it has been posted prior.) I have followed a lot of trials but I was not familiar with these and the similarities of excuses and behaviors are striking, and all of these women got off with a slap on the wrist. It wasn't so much Jodi's testimony, but her version of Travis being shot in the head and then continuing to wrestle and scream at her really got me to thinking about the ME's conclusion that he would have been incapacitated, at least temporarily, after being shot in the head.

If we didn't have such a narrow time line, I might think he was shot, lost consciousness and then regained consciousness while Jodi was cleaning up or something - at which point she grabbed her backup knife and finished the job. But we have only a minute to work with ....

I wouldn't say I'm convinced that the gunshot was last, but I'm not convinced it was first like I was previously.

And she didn't even know he was shot... No blood, she couldn't tell. Lol

From the looks of the walls in thebathroom hallway
she had a blood bath and then a shower.
It was dripping down the walls...

I am sure that Travis did not assault Jodi and break her ring finger. Jodi testified that this argument happened over her refusing to lend Travis a couple hundred dollars on January 22, 2008 -- which didn't sound plausible even during Jodi's direct examination.

But now we have text messages from Jan 21 and 22, and instead of refusing to loan Travis money, Jodi was actually borrowing money from Travis, asking him if he deposited it her bank account yet, and thanking him and telling him she would make it up to him.

On the pedophile issue, I believe that Jodi interpreted something to mean that Travis had a sexual attraction to children -- kind of like she interpreted his comment, "you sounded like a 12 year old girl having her first orgasm" as Travis fantasizing about anally raping a child (her own words!). In fact, it could have been receiving the spideys on Valentines day that she twisted to mean that he is attracted to little boys.

Whatever it was that Jodi distorted and misinterpreted as Travis' attraction to children, I think she held this over his head until the day she killed him. I think she probably hounded him and encouraged him to get help for his "problem" and did everything possible to convince him there was something really wrong with him. This is how people like Jodi feel powerful and in control, by pathologizing others and attributing horrible problems and faults.

Reminder...the prosecution has ONLY had like 4.5 hours with Jodi so far....patience you guys...:)

We are all wanting justice .... *deep breaths *.... :yoga:

Ok now I can't find it. Earlier there was a court proceeding about Christina Lopez and the evidence that was and wasn't submitted and allowed. items 4,5,6,7 it said what was done with 4 and 5 and something else with 6, but it didn't say what happened to item 7. maybe I missed it, idk.

I think, based on watching movies or whatever, she assumed a gunshot to the head would be a sure-fire killer. So (IMO JMO MMO) she forced him to sit in the shower at gunpoint, shot him there (at just the perfect angle to fit with the forensics), thought he seemed dead, was not looking at him (possibly deleting photos??) when he suddenly made a noise/movement, which startled her into dropping the camera. Then he really started regaining consciousness, screaming, going to the sink, coughing blood, etc.
