seriously? He is looking right at her in your scenario.
How do you where he is looking in the pic where he is seated in the shower ?

  • #443
Plus the ME stated that there was no bruising around the wound in his head which would be there if he had been shot first. jmo

There were no flash burns or stippling near the entry wound BECAUSE JA shot him from a distance.
She did NOT put the gun up against TA forehead.
That he had no flash burns around the bullet entry site does NOT speak to the order of wounds at all.

If he's shot in the head first, how do you explain the defensive knife wounds to the hands?

Because the itty bitty .25 caliber bullet almost but not completely incapacitated him, and he was still able to weakly try to fend off the knife before collapsing.

I have a problem with that, because I think her entire purpose for going there was to hold him at gunpoint/knife point and TELL HIM why he was about to die. She would not kill him without telling him all of her complaints, imo.

I agree. I think that the pattern of many shallow cuts is predictive of Jodi taunting and torturing TA as she murdered him. She certainly knows how to savagely thrust a knife if she wants to, and we all know how she likes to talk, and talk, and talk about how she has been "wronged".

In fairness... I did have to google "tossed salad" after his phone sex comment....

You're a guy?

Reminder...the prosecution has ONLY had like 4.5 hours with Jodi so far....patience you guys...:)

We are all wanting justice .... *deep breaths *.... :yoga:

Ahhhh, 2.5 hours actually if you take away the sidebars and time spent looking at exhibits by defense. Then we have the dancing around while answering a question by her Hineyness. I know he wanted to open that bag he brought in before the end of the day. lol

Let me add this, too. I have to hand it to Det. Flores. He sits there day in and day out and the look on his face is priceless. I can only imagine what is going through his mind.

some of us have experienced that kind of fear. for me, it was paralyzing---i couldn't move, i couldn't believe what was happening, and i couldn't have screamed if i'd tried. it's one thing to talk about this here on this board when we're safe, but that kind of fear does things to you that you'd never anticipate.

I agree! Just frozen! And the hole at the end of the barrel becomes huge....it fills your world.

Do I remember LOL (that is leary) that ammunition casing at her parent's home were the same/matched the casings at Travis' home?

she had a conversation outside her grandparents home the night before she was arrested with some lady in a car, it was assumed it was her mother (this was on surveillance) could she have given the ammo to her mother? and it was her mother that questioned if the gun she had hidden in the rental car had been recovered. after locating the car in san fransisco, the gun was recovered under the hood of the car. it was a 9mm. the bullets were recovered from her purse or bag when she was arrested. if she had taken off in that rental car, she would have been armed with both gun and bullets.

Did you notice that he doesn't "threaten her " until AFTER she shot him?
So, even if it happened as she says, the gunshot is not SD.

This! I was just about to post this. I've been thinking about her account of the murder (probably more than I should) and it occurred to me that he didn't supposedly say "f*ing kill you *****" and lunge at her until after she shot him in the face. First of all, I find it difficult to believe that a man who has been shot in the face would not be in such shock and pain as to be rendered speechless and immobilized, at least, psychologically by such an injury. Even though the medical experts state it is possible he could still be conscious after such a wound, would he seriously have been able to then launch a full blown attack on Jodi after receiving it? Secondly, who wouldn't try to lunge at a person who was holding a gun to him and just SHOT him in the face with it? If it happens as Jodi says (and I don't believe for one second that it did) then HE was the one acting in self defense.

I also cannot figure out how once he supposedly lifted her in the air and bodyslammed her to hard tiled ground, she was capable of getting up, running down a short hall, get into a closet, and retrieve a gun on a high shelf (without disturbing any of the neatly folded and arranged items on the lower shelves she claims to have used to get at the gun) without Travis being able to catch her first. Seems to me he must not have been running all that fast. And if she was in mortal terror, why did she not shoot him the closet...why not shoot him then and there? In any case, even if these events occurred as she tells them, she is now the one with the gun...she has become the threat at this point, not Travis.

Another thing that is confusing me...I think the medical examiner has stated that it was the neck wound that killed him. Am I right? If that's the case, then when she delivered the final death blow, she can't even remember the circumstances under which she delivered it. What if after the struggle by the scales, Travis became weakened from his gunshot wound and begged for her to get help (which I think he did at some point because she mentions he said that in one of her fake stories...liars often include kernels of truth in their stories). If she is claiming she can't remember, then can't say that this did not happen. What I'm saying is basically this...if someone can't remember the events surrounding inflicting the death blow on a person, then how can they then claim self defense? She can't prove that Travis continued to pose a threat to her after she "blacked out" so how can she legally claim self defense?

Agree. Regardless of the order of weapon usage/choice-- a .25 is slightly more than a close range Red Rider BB gun...

We may never know the exact order of events...but WE ALL know the outcome

True. I have a feeling it's more horrid than we can even imagine.

I sure hope JM makes it more clear about the text messages on January 22nd, the day JA claims Travis broke her finger. In direct testimony she said the fight escalated when she wouldn't lend Travis $200 and he called her selfish knocking her to the ground and breaking her finger while kicking her. On those texts from the 22nd she asks Travis if he made the deposit which he responds yes to. I know JM said something to the effect of Travis lending her money but I wish he would have gone further and asked how that made any sense about the "fight" she said they had that day.
