Good morning all! Get your chores done, get your stash of goodies to munch on and sit back and enjoy the cross today!I practically wished away my weekend waiting for today! Got my iced coffee, pizza and fudge for later.

I've followed quite a few cases and I've never wanted a defendant to be found guilty as badly as I do now. I've never come across such a gruesome murder by someone so completely evil.

I can't wait for cross to start today!!!

We are having a blizzard here in the Texas panhandle. Everyone is snowed in. The interstates are closed and virtually every school in the panhandle is closed today. Yay, no reason to get out!

I know it is so hard to believe anything she says, but I am wondering if there is any truth to her statement that she was at TAs house almost every day.

That was just something she threw out in the Q/A surrounding the car swap/broken finger episode.

To me, that sounds incriminating and wonder if she just couldn't help herself.

That sounds stalkerish to me, since they were supposedly 'broken up' or 'not official' boyfriend/girlfriend.

Speaking of which, any thoughts as to what in Jodi's mind consistitutes an 'official' relationship?

I really wonder if they ever were bf/gf in his mind. Or what is the defining property of the supposed 5 month relationship.

I hope JM explains very clearly that premeditated murder (intention to kill and the killing itself) can occur in a matter of minutes. The jury needs it all simplified (dumbed down) just to be on the safe side.

There has been a lot of criticism over how Juan addressed JA last week. It will be interesting to see if he handles her differntly on the stand today. Personally, I dont want him to let up and go easy on her just because she is a female. I watched the Susan Wright (Blue eyed butcher) last night and sorta wished that Kelly Siegler could question Jodi!! I have faith in JM!!
Go Juan!!

I'm still trying to get an answer to this - watched the tape of DB, but still can't figure it out!!!
DB and Arias went to dinner together with a 48 HR guy. (according to DB's testimony on cross)
Arias would have already been jailed before 48 HR was interested in her.
When could this dinner have possibly taken place?

Any answer to your question, JJ? It has to be a mistake, she has never been out of custody since she was arrested; to my knowledge. (If she had, she wsould have absconded, imo.)

I wish the jury would send the judge a note saying "Can you ask the defendant to just answer the questions and stop smirking?" In my dreams I guess!

From the theories I've been reading on here it seems very likely that Travis was mentally tortured for a while before being murdered (She showed him her weapons and taunted him). It makes me sick to my stomach and I want to throw up. Literally.

I feel very confident that JM will secure a first-degree murder conviction. I don't know if it's a hunch or just simply every fiber of my being hoping that it will happen.

The pedo accusations were a turning point for me. I had previously been hoping for lwop but when it was plain that they were going to smear him to that degree I became comfortable with her getting the dp if the jury sees fit.

I won't lose any sleep over it.

Jodi Arias totally changed my view/feelings about the Death penalty! I wasn't sure where I stood before this trial started, but there is no doubt in my mind how I feel about it now. No need to take days or weeks to deliberate. DP is reserved for monsters like Jodi Arias. Lucky for her, she wont have to suffer like Travis did.

Ask if they'll do something like PrePaid Legal- they could do PrePaid In Session, until the trial is finished, that might interest a few of us...

I foresee myself doing in 6 months what most people do in 3 years, just like my buddy Gus Searcy. I'll be livin' large in my long (and wide) motor home, with shiny baubles and a big ring.:great:

I don't listen to the talking heads. They make no sense to me. All drama for ratings (by way of voicing unpopular opinions) And they are almost always wrong! Except Nancy Grace...I first saw her on Larry King during the Scott Peterson show. She was the only one to get it right. I know her show now isn't very good but she is pro-victim and extremely intelligent. She is just as disgusted as the rest of us that the defense has slandered Travis in the way that it has. When she says JM was brilliant during cross I believe her!

I have a problem with that, because I think her entire purpose for going there was to hold him at gunpoint/knife point and TELL HIM why he was about to die. She would not kill him without telling him all of her complaints, imo.

If she went at the rate of how her testimony drones on, it would have taken days. :floorlaugh:

I don't about duct tape but Jodi testified he wore some caloric calculator thing on his upper arm.

Yes but it's Jodi saying it..therefore quite possibly a lie.

Good morning everyone :-) I’ve been thinking about JA’s “carryon size suitcase”, the one she said she took to Travis’ on the day she killed him. Was this suitcase ever found? I’ve been thinking she could have had a change of clothing in there. Or even a huge piece of landscape fabric, the black thick plastic type, she could have put it down in Travis’ closet, for all the bloody items that she had to deal with. I remember she said Travis met her outside and brought this suitcase in for her, and then she said he was at the computer when she got there, I don’t know, maybe I’m confused, she had told so many lies. I know Juan Martinez will put everyone right.

I personally think this thread has taken a turn that I dont want to participate in. Talking about blood atonement. Washing a body. Wow. That is over my head and don't really want to learn about it. Good luck and I will be lurking but not participating until this thread gets back to normal. jmo

Religion had nothing to do with why she killed him. She killed because she wanted to. Plain and simple. jmo

Arias has an answer for everything... literally everything

and that reminds me of what the behavior analyst on hln was saying: that she tries to "convince" vs "convey" which is the sign of a liar in action.

Her testimony and her answers on cross are all blather trying to "convince" the jury that the facts are not true... that her version is really what happened. She tries to convince us that everyone else but her own self are responsible for what she did to Travis. She tries to convince us that everyone is lying but her.

When it came down to it, she could not CONVEY how she murdered Travis but tried to convince us that Travis had a gun and Travis was attacking her, and the biggest lie of all... she tried to convince us that she BLACKED OUT only the stabbing and the cleanup of the murder.

She sure as hello did not convince me of anything while she has been on the stand and I look forward to Juan dismantling her story bit by bit. If he has her up there for two weeks and she has to re-read every line of her testimony I will be fine with that. The facts will speak here and they will CONVEY what really happened to Travis.

This is the last InSession live trial they will ever air. Beth K and Jean C have been given notice. On march 4 (I think?) they go to 2 hours of taped trial per day with Vinnie and no more live trials.

As Beth said "it's the end of an era". I've been watching her for all of her 19 years reporting for them.

Super sad. I hope something else opens up at HLN to create space for this. She said they just want to fill that time with more stupid reality shows like "Storage Wars" or whatever. :( So bummed.

Trials are reality shows. Only difference is trials are real and not fake. Who acts normal when the camera is rolling.

I don't believe anyone feels he was at fault. I think more than anything people are confused why he didn't go to the extreme to shut her out of his life. He knew she was crazy. I did see something somewhere that apparently one of his friends asked him if he wasn't worried that she might hurt him and apparently Travis said he didn't think she would.

Incredibly sad, you're right that unfortunately I don't think he stood a chance. It's a shame that the police didn't follow up the tire slashing incidents.

I know you're right - it just bothers me when people say "I would have" instead of "why didn't he" or "if only he had". I think most of us want to find the good in people, no matter what, and therefore have a hard time believing that someone we've been so close to could really, truly, actually, DO something SO horrible to anyone, much less to us. It's easy to believe we would have acted differently in his situation but really, none of can ever know for sure.
