Is Premeditation the only verdict that can get her DP. Or can the degree of violence get her the same verdict. I am trying to figure out if it makes a difference which came first gun shot or stabbings. jmo

I think 1st degree is with premeditation, the DP is because she caused him pain and suffering with the overkill of 9 back wounds, stab in the heart 19 other stabs, shot in the head & slit his throat from ear to ear.

1) she said she used the bench to stand on when she had previously cleaned the shelves

2) due to her ability for making her lie fit the forensics (the bench was not moved in crime scene photos) she claimed she JUMPED up to the shelf to get the gun (all the while he is running running running).. I mean she makes the bathroom sound like it is as big as the vatican!

3) I think the whole gun is a farce.. so he locked her into her lie on cross. He plans to address the gun big time on rebuttal.

If I was on this jury...I would have a major problem with her going right and into the closet where she knew a gun supposedly was...rather than going left and out the bedroom door. I mean, the bedroom door was right there! To me, that is a big hurdle and shows premeditation to go towards where she says a gun was. ( of course I know this is all a lie)

The last shot has water on either the door or the lens, looks like her placement of herself is incorrect one way or the other.

the face shot clearly shows water on the shower door. water on the lens wouldn't show up as clearly defined drops. it would just make the picture blurry.

Why can't the state do a "re- creation" of the timeline of the crime as described by Jodie. That would prove everything she is saying is just not possible......and show the "closet" story does not work.

Have I watched too many CSI's??? LOL! At least do the closet story---she is 5'4', the shelving was to the ceiling like 12 ft high. How does one (with one arm, mind you) use one shelf to leap more than 12 ft, since the gun was supposedly in the back corner of the top shelf. C'mon a gorilla could not do that..

That gun is important--if she could not reach it, then she had to bring one, proving premeditation, Right. They could even bus the jury to see for themselves. Remember they did that with OJ.......of course they had better have worked this out beforehand and know she could not do this....can you imagine if it was another "If it doesn't fit you must acquit".

just like so many other times, she had to go back for something. it's a theme with her.
if she had something with her she forgot to give darryl and it was important enough to take back to him, you can bet she knows exactly what it was. but now she's forgotten what it was. i don't think so.
i'm with the poster who thinks she gave DB or his son that stolen DVD player and it was the remote she forgot to give him. that makes total sense to me.

Did someone mention Travis' camera had a remote? Maybe she is weaving parts of what really happened into her story again. What if the remote she took and had to go back to return was for TA's camera, instead of the DVD remote for DB? Could be an excuse to go back again. Hmm.....

I think when he sees her, he opens the door to go after the camera, she stabs him, he slouches down in the shower....thinking the shower door is the kind that closes on it's own (not sure what you call that ) she then snaps the pic of him sitting down...after a min, well less than that, he gains strength to get up, stumbles to the sink....prob slouched over the sink, shot to the head....he goes to the ground to crawl away, she stabs him over and over in the back, legs, ankles as he is trying to crawl away, then the throat at the end of the hallway....has my story changed as much as hers???? LOL....I'm trying here...

she may even think the heart stab was enough, and goes to gather evidence in the bedroom and hears him getting out of the shower (using up the almost one min in between photos), goes back in as he is over the sink with the gun??

Perhaps I am underestimating how stunned someone would be when they realized someone close to them was *actually* intent on killing them. I keep thinking that Travis had plenty of opportunity to get the best of her and disarm her if she had a knife - which makes more sense to me if she were holding him helpless at gunpoint. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe he was so stunned by the initial
knife wounds that he just relented and didn't really fight back.

If I did not know for sure she DID indeed accomplish it by herself, Arias getting Travis' dead body IN the shower would have made me question if she accomplished this alone.

The graphic presented her as 5' 4" and 119 pounds yet, her driver's license data and booking sheet information clearly give her height as 5' 6" and her weight as 125 and 119 pounds, respectively. I'm 5' 6" and 125 lbs. At JAs age and in good physical condition, I could have done it. Which is why I, too, never had any doubt that she did do it and that she did it alone.

IMO, he may just leave that one alone and not bring it up again. He is going to have to pick his battles, and this would not be a winning one. However, should his psychopathic client instruct him to dispute this witness tampering event it will be the same thing- Lie and Deny and Confuse everyone including themselves.

I've pretty much caught up with last night's and this morning's posts but didn't read every single post word-for-word. Most of my thoughts about the final day of cross echo what's already been said, but I do want to share that the most upsetting thing about the day was the email that Jodi sent to Travis after she knew that he was dead by her own hand. I started to :cry: and had a knot in my stomach. OMG!!! How evil can this woman really be? There are no words to explain how someone could be so cruel :furious: Jodi had to have known that that email would eventually been seen by Travis' family and friends. What on earth was she thinking?

Considering the last live photo of travis being the "inadvertent" one of part of him shown sitting in the shower, I think when he used his arms to stand, Jodi stabbed him in the chest. I do believe the assault began before Travis exited the shower. And it was at that time the camera dropped and took a pic of the ceiling.
