Looking at those shower pics again …

~4 minutes between the dark photo where TA may have first seen a knife/gun wielding JA and the photo of the bathroom ceiling. I wonder how many vile words/thoughts JA spewed at TA in those ~4 minutes?

~1 minute between ceiling photo and dragging photo - 27 vicious knife wounds, deeply slashed throat, and possibly including gun shot.

BBM- she recovered pretty quickly from all of this trauma.

I heard something on TV the other day ... a friend of Jodi said that he and she believe that there will be a mistrial, that another trial will take years and that at most, she will get 5 years. I can't begin to understand what she is thinking ... except that she must expect that all juries are like the Anthony jury. I hope it isn't so.

IMO, Jodi lost the day she told the jury on direct she could not remember what happened after "the gun went off". It was so anti climatic to 8 or 9 days of endless failed attemps to ruin Travis and depict herself as an abuse victim. Before Juan even began cross her answers and descriptions of events on Direct were allready so unrealistic and illogical. I remember one time when Nurmi was asking her about the abuse and he said, raised voice, iirc "Is that when the BEATINGS began." He sounded ridiculous. On direct, the defense failed to establish a pattern of abuse, they just brought up a few, well rehearsed, episodes of abuse, -the finger,- the "he spun me around." and so on. It was very transparent. They were grabbing at any straw they could, real or imaginery, to justify the murder, and they had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to do so. That too, imo, is obvious.

The Jury is going to look at the totality of all the evidence, all the testimony. Juan exposed Jodi and her lying ways, he stripped her of her little vulnerable persona that she tried to convey. The notion that Juan was too agressive, according to so many THs, is silly. His method of crossing Jodi, I believe, was perfect. He was showing the jury that she is not some little fragile girl that needs to be treated with kid gloves or that she is someone deserving of gentle and respectful treatment. Juan wants her on death row, he treated her in a manner that is consistent with how a cold blooded killer should be treated.

IS that what they were saying?? I need to go back and find the footage of it!

Stick with it... HUH???? What.. the act?? Ug.. Nurmi, Nurmi..

BBM: Then why wouldn't he just say "be strong" if that is what he meant? Doesn't make sense to try to interpret his words any other way, he isn't speaking in code or anything. Stick with it, means stick with whatever you're doing, now whether he means the crying or the way she is answering, that's impossible to say. Personally I think he means the crying.

And yeah he has to do his job, he quit his job trying to get out of this case, so he needs to go on and make money as a lawyer in the future, a loss is a loss and bad for your career. While I don't hold a high opinion of him, he is trying to do what he can do help her. And behind the scenes he has to deal with this petulant little B_tch which cannot be easy for anyone.

Holy cow....can you imagine dealing with her?:banghead: I do feel sorry for the DT-- you know shes playing "lawyer" with them constantly ....gotta be frustrating for them

I'm really not anti-nurmi at all....honest!

Good to know! And, the bypass of Hoover Dam route adds only 23 miles to trip.

Do we know if there was a GPS on JA's Budget rental car? TIA

Are we sure she went through the checkpoint then? I'm assuming we are I just haven't seen anything .. if she did WHY? Wouldn't you just drive around it??

I didn't hear him saying anything other than 'are you alright' and 'just take a minute'......I am not doubting what others says they heard...just saying what I heard.

Same here....

I was here on this board but not watching the trial (or just little snippets) during the prosecution case. I started watching once JA got on the stand. But it seems like those who were watching said JA had no problem looking at the police photos of Travis' body earlier, and she did ask to see the photos during her first or second interview with Det. Flores, right? I'm wondering if JM can bring that point up eventually. Maybe in his summation?

I'd also wager that there was a reason for killing Travis around 5:30 PM - time to clean up before the roomies got home and the sun in Arizona set that day around 7:30 PM, giving Arias time to burn and dispose of the evidence under cover of darkness before hitting the Hoover Dam checkpoint.

If she had killed him at 2:30, she would have had to dispose of evidence in the daylight.

But a fire would be more visible at night, no? I guess it could go either way - in the daytime there might be visible smoke.

Guessing she didn't burn anything, just got rid of stuff in such remote locations that anyone finding them is slim to none.

He said she thinks it will be a hung jury yeah, and the prosecutor will drop the charge to manslaughter and she would get five years with time served.
IN HER DELUSIONS!!

Yep!

IMO He needs to keep it simple for any possible stupid folks sitting on that jury.

Jodi alleges she played ring around the rosy closet, after a round of WWE body slamming and rolling...NBA queen leaping defying the laws of gravity and physics to reach an imaginary gun, all the while some ridiculous dialog is going on..shoots him after a warning to stop... Slices his throat and is dragging him a mere MINUTE and TWO seconds later.

So sorry for the wrong timeframe....edited to be correct. Again sorry for the misinformation :/

I left out her hard blinking memory.

Pretty darn sneaky for somebody in a fog.

No, no, the fog didn't descend until later. Jodi herself said that the fog relates to her memory, not to her activities of June 4th. I can't figure out whether this is something that the DV expert is going to say is a normal reaction for someone in her position, or whether she just made up some bulls**t on the spur of the moment.

Today was the last 6 hour day. Monday will be 9-11AM EST. I was sadly disappointed at the end of the show. Jean said something like we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge all those on the team.. They ran everyone's names at the bottom and showed clips of cases intermixed with photos of the InSession cast and staff.

I have the clip of Nurmi saying "stick with it" recorded and also the Vinnie Demos - if anyone wants those.

ANJ, I would love you to post the clip....I listened and couldn't heard that phrase....I heard him ask her if she was alright and told her to take a minute. I don't have my earphones (niece borrowed them)so I had trouble hearing even that. Thanks

She testified (I know, I know) that she threw the rope in a dumpster. It's plausible that that is how she disposed of everything.

I agree the inspection of her vehicle before she hired it noted that it smelled of smoke before she took possession of it, I think that's where the idea came from that she burned things in the dessert, but if anything that would be more problematic than dumping things as she went.

Did Jodi every say she called Travis to tell him she was coming to his house on June 4? Or, did she just show up? Or, maybe she claimed to call him?

I don't think the bypass was completed in 2008, was it? I thought it was more like 2010/11...
