Today was the last 6 hour day. Monday will be 9-11AM EST. I was sadly disappointed at the end of the show. Jean said something like we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge all those on the team.. They ran everyone's names at the bottom and showed clips of cases intermixed with photos of the InSession cast and staff.

IS, RIP. I like Vinnie, and I can certainly watch the trial online, but I will miss several of the folks on IS...

Do we know whether HLN will pick up anything during the 11:00 to 3:00 hours?

Hey, been busy w/work and not on much today. I had promised a friend that I would find something I had seen years ago when I was going through a horrible time w/my then husband. It took some searching, but I found it. I cried and cried the first time I read it b/c it just rang so true. BUT, it was probably one of the most helpful things I found to help me understand that the problem was not me...

Now, I know Jodi hasn't been diagnosed as a Narcissist and many (incl me) have used the term to describe her. IMO she is definitely one. If you have the time, read the Foreword I have linked. I think it gives an EXCELLENT representation of what Travis might've been dealing with, if you haven't been through it yourself... I think it also gives you a glimpse into what I think Jodi is.

Again...:moo: First time posting a link, hope it works!

ETA: I think he had discovered the creature for what it was at the end...and her world started to collapse.

Great Post!
Love Dr. Sam. He has a great site:

I saw the footage and indeed her mouth corners seemed to shape into a smile ... but it was more like the face of a crying woman whose cheeks came up in a bit of a smile. I have no doubt that she was genuinely crying for herself ... that great big realization that she will indeed suffer the consequences of her actions. That last email to Travis was clear pre-meditation. It came off like: hey babe, can't wait to see you again ... you abuser ... wink wink. She perhaps didn't think that the prosecution could get the email admitted into evidence, but it gave the jury a complete nakedness of Jodi's character; a window to the soul.

It was almost like a metamorphosis with how Jodi's character changed through the cross examination ... from I'm so smart I can smirk circles around you to I'm such as sad, helpless, incoherent, foggy memoried, goal oriented, abused, dishonest, broken, little creature.

How about if they find her guilty in less than 2 hours ... that might snap her out of her delusions about being so clever that she can get away with murder. Maybe then her mother and aunt will stop chuckling about Jodi's circumstances.

Me thinks the chucklers better start looking for real estate near Goodyear AZ

I think she had her backpack in the closet where she had hidden the gun and knife she ended up using.

In one of the pics there appears to be a strap. I think that is her backpack or purse, which would fit what you posted. IMO

I'm worried about the jury! Since the Anthony case! I pray this jury is with it. I think the difference was that the Anthony jury was sequestered! The foreman had a cruise scheduled for the next day! I think they just wanted to go home period. Judge perry spent to much time trying to appease them with movies! Different resteraunt s! They forgot what they were there for. I swore I'd never follow another trial and here I am.

Diff jury, lawyers...STATE even. They are not the Pinellas 12. Give them some credit for having nothing to do with Casey Anthony. There are so many differences here.

Thank you so much for that layout. I have had such a difficult time visualizing the layout for some reason, and how to picture what happened and what the creature claims. Your picture cleared it up. You rock!

Im the same way! I have to do layouts of all the scenes.. And with this one, until i found this layout of the bedroom and matched it to crime scene photos, i had the room all catty wompus! Now i see where they were running.. Makes it all the more unbelievable! And the room is not that big!

The only problem with the closet story was the place she said she put the gun was 7' high. Now she says she is 5'5. How she got that gun down so quickly without a chair or stool or pulling something off one of the shelves is questionable. Also Travis was 5'9 why would he put a gun up so high that he would need to get a stool to retrieve the gun? If he had kids I would believe him putting it up that high. Also, there is no record of him owning a gun. He wasn't a convicted felon, so had no reason to hide the fact he owned a gun. I also think he would have gotten something like a 38 or 45 even a 357 not a 25 more like a girls gun. Or something an older person could handle something without a lot of kick. jmo

Maybe she used a Spiderman web sling to get up there to get it.

Depending on the surface it hit, it could have bounced up... I can see that. Too bad JM's little demonstration wasn't caught on video. :) It would definitely bounce on carpet - even tile, once...

I can't see an object like that just falling flat without any 'rebound' whatsoever.

It would depend on the height it was dropped from, too. I have a Ph.D physicist in the house somewhere... if I can find him I'll see what he says. He'll just look for an old camera-like object to drop so maybe I'll wait on that. He does things like that. :)

I don't doubt the physics at all...just that she remembers THAT accurately. :P

Thank you for the illustrations! They are much appreciated.

Travis was closer to "his" alleged gun than Jodi running around the bedroom,, u-turning and coming back..

Um, if he wanted to kill her bam, shoot her.. reach around grab gun and shoot her.

I only wish there was a gun there now.. and he got it first

Drew Peterson, Scott Peterson and Michael Peterson (ladies, careful with that surname!!!) all give me hope that it'll come out as we hope!

I kept wondering in her scenario...why wouldn't he just cut her off by running THROUGH the CARPETED closet instead of the TILE hallway. :waitasec::waitasec::waitasec:

I try not to think of that, but it is one of my concerns especially with all the minutia (sp) JA tries to throw in. And her attorney just lets her prattle on. I am afraid they are going to get lost in all this. jmo

While I agree that I was very disappointed in the jury and their finding of not guilty in the Casey Anthony case I am hoping this one will have a better ending. One big problem in the CA case was that the ME could not find a definite cause of death. There was no way for the State to prove conclusively that KA did not drown as CA ultimately claimed. The State also had no DNA or other forensic evidence to connect CA directly to disposing of KA body.

We don't have those problems in this case because the State has DNA and other forensic evidence to prove JA was there at the crime scene, plus she has admitted to killing TA.

I like to post the actually Arizona law on what premeditation is, that way you can read it and come to your own conclusion. If you would like I can post the difference between first and second degree murder.

http://www.azleg.state.az.us/FormatDocument.asp?inDoc=/ars/13/01101.htm&Title=13&DocType=ARS

I've read it several times - thank you! It doesn't answer my question, so I have to assume it actually does answer it - by omission (nothing after-the-fact can be used to prove premeditation). Unless there's another section in the chapter that says otherwise...

Thanks again, legalmania... I read the statues, but I don't always understand them (or how they fit together with exceptions here and preclusions there)... sigh. :)

I have never been on a jury...and I am a nosey Nellie.....how does a jury member control themselves from looking at ANYTHING related to this case....one cant even check their Yahoo mail account without JA headlines screaming at them while logging in....they are only human.....

Do they "peek"....? What do you think?

The weapons might have been there, along with some old throw away clothes (including a head covering) that she would take with her and burn later. She had probably said her goodbyes to Travis, he went into the shower, she went into the closet to change into her murder outfit and fetch the gun and the knife. He thought she was gone which explains the shower picture where he looked surprised. I still think she shot him first after forcing him at gunpoint to sit down.

I think she took him by surprise in the shower too, and that he did NOT know she was there. I still think the stab to his chest was first. I think she wanted this to be up close and personal, and her reasoning was that if he was going to "stab her in the heart" metaphorically, she was going to "stab him in the heart" literally.

Why he was sitting in the shower will probably remain a mystery. There's one photo of him standing where he's looking at the camera and has that WTF look on his face, so I don't think that the sitting photos show when he first realized she was there.

She'll never tell the truth, so we can only speculate. What I KNOW is that she killed him (she has confessed to that), in cold blood (because nobody could possibly believe her self defense bullchit), and did everything she could afterwards to cover her a**. I'm hoping the PA's case can prove she premeditated the crime, but that is a bit of an uphill battle for him. If the jury can see the logic of the evidence being presented, then it will be first degree, premeditated.
