Back to the closet scenario...I already discussed how the shelf would have tipped had she stepped on the edge of it but also, Travis was supposedly shot and then chased her into the closet. Where was the blood in the closet? Neat and tidy closet. No blood, meticulous shelves. Hopefully Juan will go step by step through all of this in his closing.

She was "in a fog" and can't remember any of the details except the ones that benefit her. Love the one about the bullet casing landing on the blood. She is able to say with absolute conviction, "There was no blood there". So in the midst of him attacking her she took a few split seconds to survey the room? Lawdy. The jurors better better get this one right. So many lies and transparent BS.

Hi All
I am new here and had to sign up because of this case. If you listen to the sex call when she is talking about finding somebody freaky - just before that she says well someday we will both re-marry! She did not say marry that I can tell. I have not seen anybody mention this but I am sure they have or I am just crazy!! It is located at 27.20 on the youtube for the sex call. I would link it if I knew how. I will learn and get better. Just another very strange little tidbit regarding this case.

Why would she go and make a paper trail, for a dvd player, how much is that worth, mahybe 20 dollars. That is not a big ticket item.

I was going to say perhaps worth a happy meal.

Going back to JA's claim that TA body slammed her on the tile floor, I say BULL.

I have been body slammed before but luckily it was on carpet. Still hurt like hell and I had bruises on some areas of my back, butt and shoulders. It knocked the breath out of me and there was no way that I could move for 5 or 10 minutes, plus being sore for a couple weeks afterwards. But Jodi managed to get up immediately and within less than 2 minutes had killed, or injured TA so badly that he was incapacitated from his wounds. No way he body slammed her, period!

The next time I got thrown down by force was when my ex picked me up and forcefully threw me down on a waterbed which would not have been so bad if I had not had a multi-level bone fusion and disc removal surgery on my lower back only 3 days before in which they went through my stomach to get to my spine! It still knocked the breath out of me and I believe it was the cause of one of the bone graphs moving completely out of place which caused the fusion to fail!

Don't worry, I am NOT with the person who did this to me anymore but I chose to have my abuser arrested and put in jail rather than to kill him. He did stalk me for two years after he got out of jail which was psychologically more damaging than even all his physical abuse had been, and took me over 10 years to recover from it.

So glad you are safe now and putting it behind you. Stay strong!

I had a creepy thought last night listening to the "intuitive" who's name I can't remember at the moment who gave Travis the heads up about darkness around him. She had said that JA asked her about dying her hair the same color and that they could then be twins. Wondered if she had thought about actually killing that woman and assuming her identity as their faces were similar in features as far as eyebrows and things.

This is such an EXCELLENT point - Only JA herself can prove the gun was Travis'!!! All she has to do is tell LE where it is. If nothing else, she could prove it wasn't her grandfather's gun.

Oh, MAN I hope this gets brought up somehow. Having Grandpa say it isn't his gun (he could lie, I suppose) would blow a HUGE hole in the premeditation argument, no? Hopefully the serial numbers weren't sanded off or something. Grandpa owned his .25 in CA, where I think the regs are a little more strict than in AZ. Maybe he has registration paperwork.

That JA is NOT interested in finding the gun and proving it was not stolen from her gparents home says a lot.

Great catch - wow.

I have a feeling the def is going to call TA's friend who was ordered to provide the video of TA shooting a gun. In the cross, the pros can question him on if TA had a gun. That friend had been at TA's home as a guest, just two weeks before the murder. TA used that guy's guns whenever he went shooting. His friend is also a member of the NRA. IMHO, TA would have talked to him about any gun he MAY have had. TA didn't have a gun, nope! Believe me, gun enthusiasts like to TALK and SHARE and SHOW OFF their guns!

There was only 9 days from the time of the theft of grandpa's gun to the murder. JA has tried to distance herself from the scene of the theft using her sis as her alibi. However, from what I've gathered, JA was the last person in the home prior to the theft, and she was only absent 2 or 3 hours before her return because they called them about the theft.

I don't think the jury will buy this lie. Not a chance. It's called circumstantial evidence.

Nope, not buying her story.

I only meant big ticket in what was taken. Her weird deposits weren't super big either.

Not exactly. She drops the camera, he body slams her, she miraculously rolls away, gets past him, goes down the hall, turn into the closet, slams door, runs to shelf/gun as Travis enters closet, she backs into bathroom and he does the flying nun leap into her causing the gun to go off...

I think it got mixed in with the bloody laundry when she gathered it up by mistake.

Act of God.

And she wasn't quite sure if she could subpoena God or not :floorlaugh:.

She says that he chased her through the closet, she leaps up and grabs the gun then goes into the bathroom and points it at Travis in the middle of the bathroom. Travis then lunges at her like a linebacker and as he's in the air about to land on her the gun goes off. So he wasn't shot (according to her story) until after the two were back in the bathroom.

I hope she gets the DP and when all are gathered for her final send off, TA's sister stands and says, "Smile and say cheese", right before the executioner flips the switch.

Now that would be karma.

never have understood this, the whole act from start to finish took a minute and a half give or take a few seconds, hardly enough time for a pool of blood to dry.

Yes and that has to include getting out of the shower, the initial body slam, roll and get up, chase down the hall, slamming of door, romp through the closet, leap to the top shelf (without disturbing a thing), run into bathroom, pivot and turn with arms outstretched yelling stop, linebacker stance and lunge, another hit to the floor, some grabbing at clothes, a hard blink, another roll over and up again, finding and grabbing a knife, victim standing over a sink, 28 stab wounds, a slash to the throat while heading down the hallway again and then the beginning of dragging a lifeless body from the other end of the hallway.

Seems like a lot of stuff she is trying to cram into under 2 minutes. :waitasec:
