She sure did put an emphasis on the head turn in her reenactment of his linebacker attack. I got a good chuckle. She just couldn't shut her trap and get on with it. Standing there in her baggy pants. Thought she would take a stumble on them. What a horrible actress. Truly a pathetic moment.

I like how she exaggerated the head-turn to her left so that the bullet could enter Travis's right forehead.

To happen as she described it, she either sidestepped -- but doesn't remember due to her Fognesia™ -- or he was the nearsighted one and couldn't manage, for the very first time, to find her ample booty.

I am convinced now that the shot was last. Someone posted earlier (not sure who, I've been on here all dang day) that if the bullet casing had bounced or moved, it would have blood on it proving it has rolled or bounced. It didn't. It was on top of a pool of blood. Proof to me that he was shot last because there was already blood on the floor.

I have to agree with that because there is no blood on top of the casing. Someone mentioned that maybe blood pooled around it after it landed there but seeing some very small blood spatter around that spot makes me think that if the casing had been there it would probably have some blood spatter on it too. Also in other photos you can see where the blood flowed in the groove between the tiles both above and below the spot so I don't believe that the blood would have pooled in that one spot to include where the casing was. The blood spot was there before the casing IMO.

You bring up a good point, though.

Jodi knows where she threw that gun. If that were really Travis' gun, don't you think Jodi would have given up the location to her lawyers and the police by now?

Busted!
Of course not, she can't remember. :furious:

Hi All
I am new here and had to sign up because of this case. If you listen to the sex call when she is talking about finding somebody freaky - just before that she says well someday we will both re-marry! She did not say marry that I can tell. I have not seen anybody mention this but I am sure they have or I am just crazy!! It is located at 27.20 on the youtube for the sex call. I would link it if I knew how. I will learn and get better. Just another very strange little tidbit regarding this case.

Hey there from North Dallas!!

Back to the closet scenario...I already discussed how the shelf would have tipped had she stepped on the edge of it but also, Travis was supposedly shot and then chased her into the closet. Where was the blood in the closet? Neat and tidy closet. No blood, meticulous shelves. Hopefully Juan will go step by step through all of this in his closing.

No, I don't think he was shot yet. She went into the closet to get the gun, then ran into the bathroom, and he linebacked her and she shot. That's how I understand it.

Yes, those shelves do tip so easy. Everybody knows that. Wonder if a juror question will be - how the heck did you do that?

Is this the prosecution's theory?

So she asked him to pose, maneuvering him into a vulnerable position (sitting in the tub), stabbed him (why not shoot him, angle is right ... he could still get out of the shower and be choking blood in the sink from the neck/cheek wound), he stumbled out of the shower to stand in front of the mirror (perhaps in disbelief that she shot him with what looked like a toy gun), coughed blood, asked her to get the neighbors, she stabbed him some more - this time in the back and on the back of the head, so he tried to go down the hallway to get away from her (no doubt heading for the front door), eventually on his hands and knees, until he got to the bedroom door at the opposite end of the hallway, where she slit his throat (nearly cutting off his head), and then she dragged him back into the shower and shot him in the face ... or maybe she just ran the showwer until she felt better ... maybe she ran the shower until the floor was soaked and cardboard boxes had 4" blood stains.

Edited to shorten a bit.

I agree with your theory, but maybe the gun did come first and TA was forced to pose.

What is this silver thing in the photo at 5:28? Looks like a barrel of a 25 caliber.

It was Summer in Mesa. At least 100º probably closer to 105º. In the photos, Jodi was dressed in heavy denim jeans and thick socks. I've not seen any photos with what she was wearing on top. The jeans in the photo seem awfully baggy, too. She would not have been dressed that way 1) right after sex and taking consensual photos and 2) unless she returned after he thought she left and she did not want to be recognized in the neighborhood.

Just a hunch

One of my favorite parts was when JM hammered her on why she didn't just run out of the room instead of into the bathroom from the closet door while Travis was in the closet going after her. None of that made one bit of sense.

DVD and stereo's are a dime a dozen and do not bring much in a pawn shop. You can buy a brand new DVD player for less than $45 these days. The three items together would not have gotten her more than $75 or $100 total in a pawn shop, if that much.

I think the DVD ended up with the older boyfriend she returned a remote to? Or matt? And maybe travis journals were among the books she claimed to have taken to matt or the older boyfriend.

Stop that! I already feel guilty for changing your mind earlier... I think my post was left behind (threads changed quickly this time!)... but your avatar makes me feel like apologizing for anything. hehe...

I didn't answer yet because I don't know exactly without looking it up. I know the .25 was stolen, $30 on JA's desk or dresser, some sort of portable stereo or DVD player... that's all I remember.

There were signs of forced entry iIrc, and while the small pistol was stolen, LE considered the burglary 'suspect' because it was the ONLY gun stolen, yet there were 3-4 other (better) guns in the cabinet right next to the .25. On top of that cabinet was a huge pile of quarters - and they weren't touched (covered with dust).

JA arrived at the house when the police were there, and told 2 stories about her laptop. One: (this one the responding officer testified to early on in the trial - you can look it up and watch it if you want to!) - that she cleverly and conveniently 'hid' her laptop under clothes in a hamper on her floor... 'just in case' someone decided to break in and rob the house. Two: (she testified to herself 2 days ago) that she had her laptop with her - and *always* had her laptop with her, basically dismissing the prior story and what she apparently told to police.

IIrc, I think the policeman testified that she showed him the hidden laptop under clothes. I seem to recall seeing a photo, too, but keep forgetting to try to find it. We did see police photos of the house and 'crime scenes' (gun case, etc.) in various rooms... but I'm not sure where they would be - except in the video of the trial during that testimony. It was one of the first few days of trial, I *think*. I'm not sure...

That's all I can give you off the top of my head.

HTH! :)

All those other guns left behind....could Jodi of pawned the dvd or whatever for cash? Could Jodi of talked Matt into breaking in for her? but why leave the change behind? Do you think Jodi was going to put the gun back after she killed Travis? but that changed when her grandpa called the police? and she had to ditch it?

From the height of the bloody water stain on the cardboard box in the bathroom closet.

The cardboard absorbed the water up the side, drawing it in. That isn't the 'water line' indicating water depth. There would be a waterline around the walls and fixtures if that were the case.

Granted, there was a LOT of water (and blood). I think the water was a mix of factors:

Travis coming out of the shower without toweling off, JA spilling water around to make the floor more slippery (maybe) but (more likely imv) to erase/dilute any possible prints that she may have thought were hers. Notice there weren't any discernible footprints (except that one partial) anywhere, and you gotta know Travis walked around in his own blood and probably left prints. The blood that wasn't diluted (on the sink/mirror, etc.) was spatter - not prints. So I think the water was primarily a cover-up.

I know! And I loved how she made up the 2007 story of him catching her at the end of the hall, right on the fly. Amazing.

Fognesia. Love it. :floorlaugh:
