Again, after watching last night's shows on this trial (Dateline and Anderson Cooper) and listening to the descriptions of Jodi as an "aspiring photographer" (cough, cough), I can't helping thinking that the time-stamped photographs taken by the "aspiring photographer" are the one thing that positively proves Jodi murdered Travis and NOT because of self defense ..... oh, the wonderful irony of this!

She would probably have gotten away with this if not for those pictures, at the very least it would have been harder to prove, even though all of his friends knew it was her right away. Good thing "where ever she goes, her camera is with her". I bet she wishes she could EAT that "BITTER CAMERA" !!

referring to "Those are the most bitter words I'll ever eat"

isn't it rich though? if she'd just taken that camera with her to the bonfire in the desert, there's so much we wouldn't know.

there was only one thing jodi was good at. and it wasn't taking pictures.

I wish that when she said the closet was bigger than the cell she lived in that JM would have asked her if her cell was bigger than Travis' casket.

:rocker: Good One ! Whe she said that, I was like what a sarcastic b .... she is !

IF Mr. M could have said that, it would have "knocked the wind" out of her !

:seeya:

The "knocked the wind out of me" exchange with JM was totally absurd.

  • #465
IMO she would have had a much better chance at pleading not guilty by reason of insanity (not that I believe it, but it's a lot more believable than the story she's going with).

that goes out the window because of everything she did after the murder. she clearly knows what she did was wrong and took many steps to keep police off her trail. badly, but she took them.
besides, that defense didn't serve her purpose of trashing TA to the whole world.

Found this quote in an article on HLN website...

"Tuesday afternoon, Martinez asked Searcy who was the passenger in the car when he talked Hughes on the phone. Searcy refused to disclose who was in the car. He was so adamant about not telling the court who was in the car, he asked Stephens what would happen if he invoked the Fifth Amendment. Stephens ordered the cameras to be shut off, ordered the spectators out of the courtroom and called for a special proceedings behind closed doors."

What the hell was that about? I don't even remember this happening and I watched every day lol

Good morning everyone. What did everyone think of the Dateline and Anderson Cooper coverages last night? I didn't see Dateline. My hubby was watching something else. I did see Cooper and had to turn it off after twenty minutes. They were making it seem as if JA was a victim. I couldn't stomaching anymore. (I did enjoy seeing Beth and Shanna, who is writing the book). Any opinions?

WOW I missed that too. Searcy is very creepy if you ask me. Jodi slipped up in her story a few times saying "we" after Salinas and before Arizona...something like that. I kept wondering if we was her and Searcy. Maybe he's one of her sex puppets too.

That reminds me, I know there has been a lot of discussion about whether TA knew JA was taking photos.

I originally thought he did, because the click sound of a camera is very unique and unmistakeable. But I wonder if it is possible to disable the sound on a digital camera?

It does seem very odd/out of character that TA would willingly let her take nude photos of him. But it looks like he is giving a gesture towards her/the camera in that nude photo of him on the bed. That sideways "V" with his fingers.

But maybe this could be explained by the fact that it was on his camera, and he probably thought he would just delete them when she left and he'd just appease her and hope to get her out of his house with minimal conflict.

Now that I am thinking about it, JA probably asked him to try out his new camera.

And that whole part of her story about him yelling at her about not being able to hold a camera -- even a 5 yr old could do that. Just does not ring true to what an abuser would say AT ALL. How many 5 yr olds are using/holding cameras? She has not experienced domestic violence IMO, none of her examples/stories ring true, and she doesn't know how to make them sound true.

On my cameras you can turn the sound off.

I forgot about Dad being sick with something. Poor man. He must be totally mortified at the idea that his daughter is that twisted and depraved. Ok so Auntie is hard of hearing but what's up with her stone cold face? I have rarely seen her even move from that position. Mommy seems to move around a lot.

The news said her dad has dialysis 6 days a week. Don't know his circumstances but I have a friend who goes five times a week and it near about kills him.

Maybe I missed it but I haven't seen any photos of the stairs with blood spots. Do you have a link to a photo with blood spots on the stairs? TIA

Blood swipes on the wall were in the hallway from the master bathroom to the master bedroom. I was interested in any blood on carpet from outside of master bedroom to the washing machine.

Good point about wringing out the bloody+damp items prior to possibly placing them in a garbage bag [thanks guys!] and taking it down to washing machine without drips everywhere.

I'd be interested to know if blood/JA DNA was found on those weird carpeted thongs as well.

Found it! You can scroll through these...not sure if this will take you to the actual photo or just to the album. It's about 1/3 of the way down the scrolling area if it doesn't.

I know all about the horrors of dialysis...hubbie has lost several family members in that fashion. I knew a man who opted to amputate both legs because he refused dialysis. It really is just torture.

After looking at a different shot of the picture I thought was blood...not sure it is anymore. LOL!!

It looks like a pony tail holder and then some other black thing. I thought the black thing was blood, but it doesn't make sense there would be only ONE DROP so far away and not others.

Anyway, that's what I thought was blood. Not sure now.

Curious In Indiana..where are you in Indiana? I have family in Fort Wayne and also Columbia City.

As opposed to just emailing him the photos like any reasonable photographer might do? Who knows. :floorlaugh:

excellent point!

that was in the very beginning. If you can find the date it happened in court, go back to our threads with that date. We had fun with it! :floorlaugh:

After the murder ...

How did JA get all of the bloody+drenched items from the master bedroom
to the washing machine without a single drip of blood on the carpet? TIA

Good question. Especially since she was in her imaginary FOG at the time

Speaking of, I've never known or heard what the black thing was lying on the floor across from the bloody outside the closet picture.

she was probably giving complimentary BJ's to her cadre of former BF's in california on her trip, IMO. gus, matt and darryl. they're all idiots.

I thought the first 45 minutes of the show, up until they got to JM questioning Jodi, was pretty good. Better than some of the writeups I've seen, where the reporter clearly hadn't watched much of the trial. Beth Karas and Vinnie Politano were on, and both clearly believe she is guilty.

The only problem I had was the last part when they showed JA on the stand talking about the murder. Like too many other people, the show seemed to think this was a "breakdown" on JA's part. Doubt if anybody here would agree with that.

I'm still really, really disturbed by her behavior after the court recessed on Thursday and they had that short hearing requested by the media. She'd supposedly been crying for three hours before that and yet she didn't seem really bothered by it at all. I would have curled up in a ball on the floor. Wish the jury could have seen it. :furious:
