I think the reason Travis changed so often and told her she was pretty,etc.. was because it was a way to keep her happy. When you are involved with this type, you quickly learn how to unarm them. Telling her how pretty she was and saying he loved her kept her happy and him alive. At some point, albeit subconsciously, he figured this out.

Oh, it wasn't subconscious at all... have you read his texts from April and May of 2008? Less than a month before he was murdered by her, he had her pegged and I think it was a fatal mistake to let her know how accurate he was.

Another thing I wonder about is the rental car. Blood sticks around for a long time. The rental car guy said he saw red koolaid on the passanger seat. I wonder if they took that car and went over it with a fine tooth comb. Also the floor mats to the car where did they go? Why would she throw those away?

Let's say she manages to somehow hold a gun on him while she's taking photos of him in the shower. What is the purpose of taking the photos?

Premediatated murder. He had dissed her forever with either the trip or words via text, phone etc..."We had sex, he took photos of me & me of him & I took photos of him in the shower and he went crazy on me..." poor f'in jodi...Sick woman btw to keep changing on the stand. It has been witnessed.

JA is telling this story btw. They had sex & enjoyed each other, he got beligerant to her after she dropped the camera and she had no choice but to shoot and stab him to death...

It just seems so calculated & planned to me.

They are guys. Probably never smelled death before.IIRC there were two A/C units and Travis was separate from theirs. I heard a comment they thought it was the dog .

He had been gated off to the lower floor.

After three days, his car behind the gate, and no phone calls being answered,lights on (which he never did).They still didn't question. He was found in a secluded part of the house...where the roommates never ventured.

...they said they weren't that close and had no reason to be concerned...WTH?

Thanks Paperwing. No, I had not seen this email. I noticed it was 8 days before his death. His threats and words of forever over and telling her she is evil sent this plan in motion and in her mind, he must be eradicated.

I want to know what made him have sex with her. He certainly didn't look happy at all. Did he have sex to calm her down and hope she would just go away (like forever)? This is all I can think of, he did it to satisfy her and get her out of there. She hung around long enough to the roommates were gone to set her plan in motion.

She wanted him dead for what he said and he threatened to expose her. She already suspected she was evil and now he proclaimed it, so she had to prove it to him.

Arizona has the "stand your ground law" so I think the problem may be if she felt threatened in any way she could defend herself. How did she know there was a gun there? After she shot him why did she feel she had to stab him 29 times and then slit his throat? Was she standing her ground or was this overkill? The ironic thing is the Travon Martin case is coming soon to address this very subject.

Didn't one of the stab wounds nick his heart? My theory for why she was able to take him down is that she had the element of surprise and hit him in some vital places relatively quickly. Coupling that with Travis' shock, she was probably to get in several stabs before it even sunk in what was happening. When one person is armed, and other isn't, it isn't so surprising. Now, if she had taken him in hand to hand combat, it would be a different story.

Many years ago a friend of mine killed himself in the shed. His roommates didn't find it suspicious. He was found on the fourth day. I guess most people live in their own world. We ought to be more concerned about our neighbours and people we come across. Takes so little effort to do that and what a difference it would make. I LOVE the story about Travis giving that homeless woman on the street food from Wendys. What a guy...

I believe so - but I don't know. I took them from screenshots from the trial, but I'm not sure which ones Jody read aloud and which ones were skipped over.

Travis sounds like he would have fit right in with us here, doesn't he? I'm not sure what he's referring to in a few places but I sort of have an idea.

I don't recall these *specifically* being read in open court... I think I would have remembered that. Now I'm concerned. Maybe they will come in during closing arguments... or - ?

I'm too tired to go review trial footage right now...

They're pretty cryptic, aren't they? I think the part about telling everyone (the freemans, her family, etc. had to do with her stalking behaviour), and I think the part about the mystery man writing something may have been the "John Doe" letter... but those are just guesses.

Travis was about to ruin everything JA thought she had (when in reality, everything she 'had' was Travis' - his friends, his social circle, his colleagues, his faith community, his house, etc.) When Travis cuts her off, she loses everything but her small room in Yreka.

Those last texts sent 2 days before the .25 was stolen...

I got the impression other people know, too. His friends have indicated they tried to convince Travis Jodi was completely bad news. In the end, Travis was not dropping hints to her. He was blatantly telling Jodi to get out of his life, leave him alone.
