Been thinking about her shoe story. It now occurs to me that perhaps she never had shoes on because she wanted to "sneak in". I'll bet in her planning ahead of time she thought shoes would leave impressions that could possible be traced back to her and thought socks would leave nothing and no pattern for CSI. Shoes would make noise on the floor which would interfere in sneaking.

One thing I don't know if mentioned before but that's rather odd is how JA stressed over & over during direct that TA was a jealous control freak. TA knew JA was going to Utah and according to her he "guilted" her into stopping in Mesa while on her way. If he was such a jealous and controlling guy why didn't he throw a hissy fit about her going to Utah to see Ryan? Maybe b/c he wasn't a jealous controlling guy?

Anyway, hope that makes sense?

Perfect sense! Travis (officially) became controlling on June 22, 2010 when the DT filed their Notice of Defenses.

By the way, Martinez' formal reply and argument regarding the alleged 'letters' - and their new strategy - is priceless...

Well, she did leave a check for 200.00 for the car payments. Wasn't it for the April and May payments? She hadn't even kept up with those 100 payments. Maybe the check wasn't even good.

For all we know, she cleaned all the cash out of his wallet before she left. Lets face it she was there for quite some time. And being single, no one probably knew how much cash he kept on his person at any given time. I don't even know how much cash my dh has on his person at any time. He is not a debit card person. Heck, he still sends checks for bills. He dislikes the internet and prefers to do his banking with a check register instead.

Also, I'm on the obsessed with this trial train, too. I actually changed my flight from tomorrow morning to tonight so that I don't miss the trial tomorrow. I'm now taking a red-eye just so I can see everything unfold tomorrow.

Travis' sister says on her facebook that the trial is expected to go on until the first week of April.

Grrr, I hope not. The Steubenville Rape case begins March 13th. I'd hate to have to choose which to watch.

I think the reason Travis changed so often and told her she was pretty,etc.. was because it was a way to keep her happy. When you are involved with this type, you quickly learn how to unarm them. Telling her how pretty she was and saying he loved her kept her happy and him alive. At some point, albeit subconsciously, he figured this out.

I think he lost control and then resorted to being blatant and that's what motivated her.

Let's say she manages to somehow hold a gun on him while she's taking photos of him in the shower. What is the purpose of taking the photos?

Oh, it wasn't subconscious at all... have you read his texts from April and May of 2008? Less than a month before he was murdered by her, he had her pegged and I think it was a fatal mistake to let her know how accurate he was.

KN specializes in sex crimes and I can sorta see why he is on the defense's team. Again, sorta. I can understand the reasoning for him not sitting next to JA and that JW is the designated person to sit next to her. I also understand JW is the attorney who was assigned bc she is a death qualified attorney. I can also sorta see why KN was the attorney assigned to examine JA on the witness stand. Again, sorta. But, I don't understand why he is acting as the lead counsel. Why is he doing the objecting, the arguments regarding the evidence and witness related issues before the judge and the one who is reviewing the material JM is asking to be submitted? Why was KN the one arguing before the judge about the releasing of the transcripts to the media?

Yes, JW is death qualified but given that the state is asking for the death penalty shouldn't JW be acting as the lead counsel?

After being glued to this trial all these weeks, I just finished watching Travis on Youtube as a speaker at a PPL event. Oh my gosh, what an adorable personality...so full of life...so cute. This murder is just horrible and Jodi really really deserves the DP.

Nurmi is the lead attorney, Willmott is on the case b/c she is death qualified, doesn't mean she is the lead.

Remember that little case in Florida and who the lead defense attorney was even though he wasn't death qualified.

My husband just criticized us all. I was reading a few posts about other posters who go to great lengths to not miss a second of trial (carrying our iPads into the bathroom, etc.)

I said, "See? I'm not the only freak!"

He said, "I don't think it's a good thing that there are more of you out there."

HAHA! yes, my husband has a had a few comments to me about watching this trial every day. Especially coz I am in NY and watching the trial at dinner time at the computer in the kitchen! LOL!

In fact, I am watching the Dateline show from Friday night and he just said " Oh no, not that trial again!".
