Perhaps you could add some Toblerone for good measure! :floorlaugh:

She's not in Estrella?

Oh, and, just a thought... you could always send the Toblerone to me instead! :great:

I just thought about this. Jodi probably took the knife and gun in order to make it look like there were two people involved. She probably thought that's what the cops would think. Hence her ninja story after it was proven she had been there. JMO

I also think she made much too big a deal about not knowing where here shoes were.

Because she had to get rid of them. She removed the socks but at some point still needed something clean to put her feet in. The shoes were probably just withing reach of the blood sock prints on the carpet and she slipped her feet into them so there would be no blood left anywhere. Once she got away though, she had to destroy them because Travis' blood was in them. jmo

HAHA! yes, my husband has a had a few comments to me about watching this trial every day. Especially coz I am in NY and watching the trial at dinner time at the computer in the kitchen! LOL!

In fact, I am watching the Dateline show from Friday night and he just said " Oh no, not that trial again!".

My husband does the same thing....
my favorite comment was this...

when I told him dumbell jodi photo'e the entire episode...he replied,

" she's a sentimental girl.."

this discussion about her lady parts went on for a long time here and i'm only going to weigh in on it again this one time in support of the other RN who posted---KZ, i think.

in the 25 years i worked as an RN in labor and delivery and for OB/GYN's, i saw literally 1000's of female genitalia. there is nothing out of the ordinary about hers. we all come with standard equipment, but it doesn't look the same from woman to woman. i saw nothing that made me think there's anything wrong with hers. just normal variations. that's all.

I am happy that people who have knowledge of this are responding as those of us who are not in the medical profession have no clue whatsover.Thank you !

When thing whined at JM during x-ex that the cell thing lives in is smaller than Travis' closet, I was **so** wishing JM would have responded by asking thing how much bigger the cell was than Travis' casket!

Here's a real question KCL. What do you think Nurmi has to do starting Monday to try and rebuild a defense that has been turned to ashes in the past couple of weeks?

You can't polish a turd is a saying that comes readily to mind. :dunno:

Nurmi isn't that good of a lawyer to do much rehabilitating. He actually makes JB look good and that's saying a lot. One thing JB had that this guy doesn't is passion. For whatever reason, ego or whatever, he really fought for his client. Whether or not he thought she was guilty, and I think he did, he was going to give her the best defense he could with whatever story she gave him. And he was smart enough not to allow her to go on the stand.
Nurmi really gives the vibe that he just doesn't care. It is apparent that he thinks she is guilty as sin and he doesn't want to be there. He has no interest in making a name for himself and is just doing what he needs to do to get out of there. I think he knows that any attempt to really defend her will make him look like a laughing stock. I really get the impression that if he had his druthers he would rather be in JM's position right now.

Plus he was leaving on vacation and could have had cash ready for the trip that was in the house, too. I don't put anything past her.

BBM . . . So true!

I also question where Jodi came up with the money that she miraculously deposited into her two accounts while she was still in CA before she arrived at Travis' house:

June 3, 2008:

Monterey, California

Arias made three deposits to different accounts at a Washington Mutual branch:

10:10 a.m. $400 to account # ending 8006
10:11 a.m. $300 to account # ending 7148
10:15 a.m. $100 to account # ending 7148

I think the amounts themselves are interesting - I believe that on all or most ATMs there is a maximum withdrawal per day of $400, so is it possible that Jodi had a bank card and pin for any of Travis' accounts that she could have made a withdrawal from, then deposited into her own accounts? Where else would she have come up with this money to deposit? I recall Martinez specifically asking her how much cash she brought with her on the trip and she gave a vague answer of anywhere between $80 and $200 approximately.

There is a crime scene photo of what looks to be a pair of flip flops right by the blood pool in the hallway. Was there any explanation for them?

LOL,

Mr DD teases me about not paying attention to what's going on around me when it's on...but FUNNY how when I come home and turn it on, he will bring up comments/questions from the day's testimony! Hmmm :floorlaugh:
(He's a firefighter so he's home 2 out of 3 days).

Has there ever been any discussions about TA's outgoing texts or calls on June 4th? Did he make any at all?

Last text was to Chris Hughes and now I'm confused on the time...read it in Flores report,..will get back to ya ;)

Grrr, I hope not. The Steubenville Rape case begins March 13th. I'd hate to have to choose which to watch.

I think he lost control and then resorted to being blatant and that's what motivated her.

Morbid keepsake of the crime.

Jeez, do you have a link for that? I'd like to find out more. TIA

I just searched for screenshots in the media/timeline thread. A few news sites filled in a little bit (like the first or last line cut off in the screenshots in the M/TT. I used dates and times within those screenshots or what was posted with them. I just typed them out because I wanted to see them in order.

There are more than those, but I think they're pretty significant. I was organizing them for my own use (I can't keep track well when things are broken up in different posts, so I wanted to see whatever I could find as one readable document.

That's all I did - copy from screenshots which were all captured from the screens in the courtroom. Nurmi tried to make some of Travis' words sound more sinister than (I think) they were. The guy was ticked. Royally. And I think his making it abundantly clear to JA that he had figured her out (he sounds like one of us!) was a deadly catalyst. At least a significant part of one.

She had absorbed Travis' life - she didn't have her own. Losing him meant losing all the friends, the faith community, the social gatherings, the trips, the visits, the nice home... everything.

Killing him (and getting away with it) may have left her with an abundance of sympathy (well, in her mind, perhaps - seems everyone was onto her).

Alternatively, just letting him 'go', make a clean break and get on with his life meant all she would have left is a small, cramped room in a small, humble house in a very small town.

I believe she found that possibility unacceptable and she was going to have Travis comply, keep the status quo (at minimum) or eliminate him. jmv.

And all you asked for was a link... oops.

Re: nude photos

Was JA on the bed in the nude photos of herself or was she on the comforter cover which was placed on the floor? TIA

I think she may have had shoes on at some point. Does anyone else remember seeing the words "shoe imprint" or something to that effect on the the diagram of Travis' bathroom/ closet area?

Here it is. It says "shoe impression"

http://i2.cdn.turner.com/dr/hln/www...1/03/screen_shot_2013-01-02_at_2.42.45_pm.jpg

I didn't see shoe imprint on that schematic. :waitasec:

:seeya: Hi KCL. Even though you said I can't ask questions, :snooty: I'm going to defy you and give you one to address. What's the story of JA's computer drive. I heard it was damaged, yet they could get some stuff off of it. Do you know the full story of the computer?

I have visited this site many times, but have just recently registered. What an insightful and intelligent group of people here!

I have been following this case pretty closely and have some questions that I haven’t seen answers to (I hope I’m posting in the right area!):

***I know the knife has never been found. In Jodi’s 2nd interview w/Flores she mentions how Travis shaves ... “he does the whole old fashioned thing w/this little ... I dunno how it works” .. she seems to trail off and change the subject. I imagine she was referring to a straight razor. Did they every recover one from the scene? Could she have stabbed him w/that? She stated on cross that she may have put the knife in the dishwasher ... were these knives tested? I imagine the knife would have been damaged.

***I think the jury asked if the bed sheets were ever tested for blood and the forensics person said no ... why not?!

***there was a very angry text from Travis on 5/26/08 where he calls Jodi a sociopath and says she betrayed him. Was there ever an explanation given as to what happened?

***The defense seems to bring attention to the fact that if she came with the intent to kill him, she could have done it right away. I think this is easily explained. There was a roommate home in the early morning hours, right? She actually only spent about 4.5 hours awake w/him. Also, it may have taken her time to build up the courage to do it and/or figure out how/where to do it. Did the Prosecutor ever bring this up?

***The rope: The story of cutting the rope in the bathroom is not believable (if they were measuring to fit behind the bed, they wold have done it near the bed. Martinez started to touch on this and then got side tracked). The fact that she got rid of it leads me to believe she used it (or planned to use it) during the murder. The sex leading up to the murder may have been an attempt to get him in a vulnerable position (maybe she realized how messy this would be and opted for killing him in the shower?)

***The WEAKEST part of this case? The claim that he so violently attacked her just because she dropped his camera. I don’t think he had a strong reaction when she RUINED his car!
