Question about license plates: With all this discussion about the license plate(s) on Jodi's rental car, how many posting here are still required to have front and rear plates? We haven't had them in MI for 20 years, at least. Only a rear license plate is required on passenger vehicles; some commercial vehicles have both.

Still need front and back in Oregon.

I've seen a lot of questions, or people wondering why JA would have secretly photograph TA if she didn't intend to keep the photographs for herself. Maybe she changed her mind once she saw that she had accidentally snapped shots of him during the murder? Maybe it made her nervous enough to delete ALL of the pictures? I still don't know why she just didn't take the memory card, but thank goodness she didn't because that card would be wherever the gun is now.

These pictures are driving me nuts! I wish someone had them all posted up individually somewhere. The two pics that can be seen at 1:41 and 1:46 are immediately after his "surprised" look which is when I think he first noticed that she was there taking photographs.

I think that in the 1:41 pic he further raises his left arm in continuation of being startled, but something else shows up on the left hand side of the picture and I can't make out what it is!

The picture at 1:46 is quite baffling and without being able to see it properly, I just can't figure it out although I do think it's still him, taken from the same angle but he's moved.

1:54 is just prior the last one alive. He is seated but his right hand is much higher than in the following picture and it almost looks like he's got some kind a gash on his right forearm.

Any thoughts?

Does anyone know where these pictures can be looked at individually without being part of a slide show???

Steph photo shopped the bottom out because of blood.
Kinda scary what you can do with photo shop!! lol

He really did not have significant defensive wounds. Two cuts on one hand, that's it. He was not able to even put up much of a defense - he maybe got his hands in front of his face for a couple of seconds, but then he lost the ability to even do that IMO

That's why it always bothers me when people refer to Travis' death throes as a "fight" with jodi. He had no chance to fight. She sucker punched him with a fatal blow. His attempts to survive were to lurch for a few moments, to the sink and then to crawl a little bit down the hall.

Poor man.

From what I gather they were "tenants" not close friends that partiers together or ran in the same circles.
They all kinda did their own thing.
I do not think they reported to or checked in on each other.

Travis usually made arrangements for Napoleon buy bringing in a pet sitter.
I believe the girlfriend of one of them did feed him and care for him when she was there.

I don't think they ever even had a clue anything was amiss .

But who was designated to care for Napoleon? I don't remember. because if it was a sitter, they would have come in the home, right? Napoleon was upstairs when the monster got there. Where was he when Travis was discovered?

That whole roommate thing is weird to me. TA's friends said they could smell the decomposition as soon as they walked in. So, I am still confused about why his roommates didn't notice it. And what was going on with the dog at this time?

Yes, but the really intense decomp smell wasn't until the door to Travis room was opened.

I never understood why this bothers people. It is somewhat mysterious but clearly jodi did this alone and they roommates had no idea what had happened. Sometimes there are things that don;t make perfect sense in a case but it is irrelevant.

In any event, they were young men who probably were not alarmed by off smells. Further, you know how people can;t smell their own breath very well? Apparently, our noses filter out smells that become constant so that we can concentrate on more unique smells. That may explain why they didn't notice the lingering decomp smell wafting through the house which likely grew with time.

I don't understand how Napoleon was cared for after the crime. Travis wasn't leaving for four more days. Who took care of little Napoleon while Travis was locked upstairs?

Me either. Does anyone remember?

How did she manage to leave the house without tracking blood? I don't think she took a thorough shower where she was able to get spic and span, clean, but I do think she took the time to try to rinse off a bit. She had about 25 minutes, and I imagine she would have wanted to get out with time to spare. So, let's say she took 10-15 minutes to rinse off and try to erase her presence at the crime scene, I can see that happening.

She probably would have killed his roommate, if he had shown up, too. She still had the gun.

BBM - Simple change of shoes ? She had to go down the stairs to the washer and deposit the camera; did the investigators find any bloody shoeprints on the stairs ? I really don't think she would've taken the time to shower or run the bath in fear of Enrique coming home early and hearing the running water. She could have tried to rinse Travis off quickly, but if was probably a half-🤬🤬🤬 effort at best.

Lisa (the pretty little blonde girl) said he hated that word too, so Travis must have really been ticked of at Jodi to use that word.

I'm sure Travis did a lot of things he wouldn't do because of Jodi.:furious:

Hi 2door,
Say what you will about Jodie (and there is plenty to say about the little witch).........but I doubt anyone , even her, had to force Travis to have kinky sex or do anything he wasn't perfectly fine with, as long as it was their secret.

Just listen to their sex tape--

These texts were admitted as evidence, and I think they speak for themselves. We have all drawn the same conclusions from them, and I believe the jury will also.

It would not have been helpful for Juan to ask Jodi what she did to make Travis so mad because she would have just lied to her advantage. In fact, I believe she already said he was so mad about her talking to another guy and not telling him who told her that he was dating other girls.

Juan is limited in what he can ask Jodi about because whatever she says about Travis can't be challenged by Travis' own testimony.

Sure, as long as he doesn't totally ignore them. We'll have to wait and see.

Travis having "gone to the bishop" casts a whole new light on the above. Once a sexually active single Mormon has "gone to the bishop," a whole process of repentence is started up. He has to name the partner and that partner's bishop is informed that an affair has been transpiring. The partner is called into their bishop's office.

The reporting person is considered the more righteous. Women are considered less culpable than men. A man who is reported for sexual misconduct (by neighbors, friends, etc) may be either disfellowshipped or sent up the ladder of authority to the stake level for an excommunication trial, which is called a "Court of Love." It looks just like an inquisition with 15 or so chairs in a half circle around the single chair of the accused in the
center. It is not really a trial (no witnesses or facts) just the all-male suits talking and the accused. A person may be excommunicated even if they are repentent and promise to drop the person.

At some point after Arias left Mesa, and after the phone sex, Travis went to the bishop, according to Dateline. He would have to go back and confess again if he had sex with Arias after the visit. He was able to avoid losing his membership or undergoing the embarrassment of disfellowship by promising to cut her out of his life completely. He bailed on his plans to see her but did not tell her he had gone to the bishop out of fear of retaliation (he knew who slashed his tires....etc)

I think Jodi found out he had gone to his bishop and began to realize that she had lost all those wonderful friends (actually Travis' friends) in Arizona and now she was going to be facing excommunication herself as the unrepentant person in a fornication case. The actions of those courts are announced in Mormon leadership meetings and become the fodder for gossip. My point: he was taking away her reputation by confessing and naming her.

Nobody takes anything away from Ms. Arias. I believe that's when she began assembling evidence--taped the sex phone call, tried to find anything incriminating and ruin his reputation in return.

If he was going to dump her and take away from her the connection to the Mormon Church and PPL (intertwined), how would she be able to 🤬🤬🤬🤬 jump from man to man posing as a sincere believer/insurance saleswoman?

It was a lot harder from her Yreka bedroom at Grandma's than it was to throw that chum out in the water and sucker in a rich guy at a conference in Las Vegas.

To back up my point-

SHE NEVER WORKED THE PPL, just went to meetings. She made a grand total of $1700 in a year-- and that was with personal help from Travis and weekly inspirational phone calls from Gus.

SHE NEVER LIVED LIKE A MORMON, failing to keep the most basic rules which were promised at baptism. Believe me, as a single bombshell, those rules were laid out to her in fourth grade vocabulary.

SHE NEVER SOLD A PHOTOGRAPH, choosing to "focus" on her interest in taking pictures and turning down a good-paying career as a wedding planner because that did not put her in proximity to rich eligible bachelors, rather put her next to women less pretty (in her view) than she was and they were getting married!

ROAD TRIPS were not vacations and she refused to allow them to be referred to that way. They were her work. Photography was a way to justify the road trips where she leaped from man to man to man, making bank deposits along the way.

SHe thought she had it made in the shade latching onto MOrmonism because it was a way she could APPEAR to be religious or good without being that way. And she could be among a ton of men eager to get married. Which was EXACTLY WHAT SHE WANTED It is far more effective for a maneater like Jodi to be Mormon because unlike other religions, it is considered to be unspiritual and slightly weird to be unmarried; therefore, the men are all looking for wives. Also, they are naive.

Utah is the multi-level marketing mecca of the USA. It is also the state with the most white collar affinity crime - Mormons on Mormons. Young men ages 16-24 in Utah have the highest suicide rate in the United States. Utah is the state with the largest 🤬🤬🤬🤬 consumption in the nation. The whole focus on not-masturbating creates tragedies and mental illness for many normal Mormon males. As a single attractive female convert in Mormonism, EVERY SINGLE MAN I dated asked me to marry him-- and quickly too! I soon realized this was not my charms in action, this was a cultural problem.

Against this backdrop crawls forth Jodi Arias. She must have thought she died and went to heaven at her first Mormon-loaded PPL meeting. To hell with you, Daryll, I found some MARRY-MINDED boys and I have what they want.

She saw herself as having something unique to offer--the kinks of the worldly experience with the absolution of baptism and now she's clean, childless and oh-so-available.

Travis' rejection was taking away from her his love and allowing another woman to have what she felt was hers. It was also taking away from her the entire stage of theater on which she was performing so beautifully. She went from bed to bed to bed and in the Prepaid Legal world, she could travel the country that way-- she might never need to work. Imagine how she felt when she acquired a BMW from Travis! She was SET!

Now he was going to not only take away his love, but take her reputation with him, and now she learns he's gone to the bishop. That is the real end of the relationship. The going to the bishop. Her masquerade was definitely over.

I don't believe he had sex with Jodi when she showed up. I think he forbade her to come. I believe she took photos of him staging sex with the kY tubes while he was sleeping and photos of herself.

Riveting analysis!!! And so on the money!

But, couldn't that have been when he lunged at her (a silly thing to do IMO, regardless of the gun's size) and when he was shot, he stumbled to the sink (where there was a massive amount of blood) to look in the mirror to see the damage? That's when she started stabbing him in the back? He must at one point tried to get away...perhaps crawling? Perhaps they both ended up on the floor at some time. What else would explain the stab wounds on the bottom of his feet?

I think he could have easily overpowered JA - and likely would have lunged at that tiny gun, even if shot (maybe not in the head). The only problem, imv, is that she stabbed him in the heart first... somewhere at or near the sink, which he leaned against, in shock and weakening fairly rapidly - but with just enough strength to try to flee - but he only made it to the end of the bathroom hall and a few feet into his bedroom. Where his throat was slit. I don't know when the multiple stabs in his back and head were done, but from the way the wounds look (to my layperson's eye) I believe he was basically immobilized when she did those. It looks like they were both stationary because the angle is so consistent.

I don't know when she shot him or why, but she didn't have to do it within the time frame of the photos... she could have waited a minute, a few... gurgling body noises may have prompted the shot, in her concern that he'd survive. I don't know.

On a side note - wasn't the roommate expected to be an hour late that day?

Another question I have is about the downstairs furniture. In the police report, one of the roommates mentioned some of the furniture downstairs had been moved out of place and the banister seemed like it had been wiped clean. The roommate said he just figured Travis was going to clean that area. After the furniture was still there for a couple of days, he thought it was strange. What do you think the furniture moving was all about? Sorry if this has been discussed way too many times already, but I must have missed it.

Arias said on the stand that Travis was moving the furniture to clean the house - that's why IIRC she couldn't sit on the sofa like she usually does.

...and it also says she clearly had the presence of mind to do so (fog and all!). I don't think she ever intended on leaving the camera behind. I wonder just how traumatized she really was after the killing. I can imagine her looking at the pictures a lot before deleting them. I hate having these sick thoughts of her.

AZLawyer answered a question of mine in the legal question thread and I must say I'm a little confused. I don't think the state would get a conviction on the felony murder charge if it fails to get a conviction on premeditated murder.

"Felony murder" gets you a first-degree murder conviction without the need to prove premeditation. It applies where a murder takes place in the course of committing another felony. In the indictment, the felony that was listed as the basis for the felony murder charge was 2nd degree burglary, based on Jodi entering TA's home without permission or remaining there after she was no longer a welcome guest with the intent to commit another felony. I think JM said in argument that the other felony she intended to commit was aggravated assault? But I'm not sure.

I can't really see JA being there without permission. Maybe he didn't invite her to stay but he didn't ask her to leave (as far as we know, based on the pictures and so forth). And aggravated assault? I think her plan was to murder him, not just hurt him.

I think she'll be found guilty of premeditated murder or nothing.

Thank you! Hmmm...being that JA said that was what was happening makes me wonder what was going on even more. ;)

the interview was on youtube. if you type in youtube dr drew on jodi arias, in the search bar, it will come up. he said she told him travis was seeing other people and she had to get to mesa.

Yeah, it seemed that would be important testimony. I hope JM does interviews after the trial. I have questions!!

Sorry, I need your help again.

I am really wanting to do this! But when I click on the paperclip, it does not do the pull down for anything..

Also you keep referencing the go Advance screen. But the screen shot you are showing me is the exact 1 that I have on my screen. Where is the go to Advanced button that you are talking about if it is any different than the 1 I am seeing which is exactly like the 1 you have done a screenshot of.

Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk 2

When you click on the Paper Clip.JPG , it actually opens a separate window (in Google Chrome browser, anyway).

Using that window, you select and upload a photo.

After completing this action, you go back to the comment you're composing (Advanced View) and click on the Paper Clip.JPG again.

This time you will see a "Manage Attachment" Header and the file you just uploaded. You can either upload additional file attachments from that point, or insert the one you just uploaded.

It looks like this: Manage Attachments.JPG

Trust this makes sense.

But I'm sitting at a desktop.

Might be another kettle of fish from a smartphone.

I believe one of the most obvious and damming evidence for premeditation is her deliberate action of turning her phone off so she could not be traced.
This is a set in stone fact, and her response is laughable.

I think perhaps Jodie dragged Travis's body into the shower to wash Travis and herself of blood. She put shoes on , ran downstairs and by the time everything was in place she was dry. Just put clean cloths on, left the house.

She would have to have all blood removed or risk leaving traces in the rental car, right?
