Okay, JA (liar) said they slept and when Travis woke up about 1:30 they had sex. Did they have sex till 5pm and if not, what did they do for the remainder of that time?

Hmm...Jodi says she got up about 30 minutes before Travis woke up. (did she take her luggage to the car then?) They had sex around 1:30. From Jodi's version, he had a beard coming in, and hadn't shaved yet. Then by 4 p.m. they were in his office, he got upset, and he spun her around on the desk and they had sex again. I forget when she ate a banana. He must have shaved before the shower pics. It kind of all sounds rehersed. I find it hinky that she acts like her luggage was in the car and she was ready to drive off that early. I'm starting to doubt how the luggage got in and out of the house. Well, I just don't trust a liar with a story.

Totally off topic, but I was thinking about JA's long pants in the photo . Wouldn't Arizona be too hot in June to wear long pants? Could this be considered as part of the pre meditation part?

Thank you for changing the topic! It was almost 100 degrees in Arizona that day. It would be too hot to wear those types of pants and not be uncomfortable. I do think it was a costume change, something that would cover her entire body. She also had black socks on. Not many women wear black socks. I believe she planned this out very well, a long time before she ever got to Arizona. She is a very calculating, manipulative defendant (can't call her a person).

It's sad that the topic keeps going back to whether they had sex or not that evening/day. IMO-it doesn't really matter! JA killed Travis that day, whether they had sex or not, we will never know, nor does it matter.

There is SO much evidence besides the pictures from that day/early evening. I believe the prosecution would be able to get a conviction without those photos.

I was reviewing day 2 part 1 of testimony today and was surprised that JA brought up Travis having a pillow with tassels on the chair in his room. JA mentioned this to Detective Flores in her conversation the day after they found the body. In the same conversation with Detective Flores, she mentions 2 guys killing Travis. She also says they had a big falling out weeks prior to the murder over her stalking his emails/passwords etc... Furthermore, JA says in Day 2 of testimony (in a taped conversation the day after the murder), the check on Travis's dresser for the BMW was her FIRST payment to Travis and she had mailed in a week prior...hmmm...I thought she had made previous payments.

ETA: THE ABOVE PARAGRAPH WAS THE DAY AFTER THEY FOUND TRAVIS, in a taped conversation with Detective Flores, can be heard at Day 2 of Trial.

Travis had so many great qualities and had a bright future ahead of him. I hate that he is remembered by his sex life with with JA. I guess sex sells? :furious:

Unfortunately, I am sure that is all we will hear from Nurmi tomorrow. Blah, blah, blah. :banghead:

The phone sex tape--ja claims she only had control over it for a week after because her phone was "stolen"--maybe given to someone to hold (Matt?) And to ensure that she had a cell she claimed it stolen and insurance replaced it. It was magically "found" after yrs of being "stolen"--maybe because Matt turned it over to defense to bolster deviant ways of Travis??? Just a thought that hit me.

That's kind of the "charming" point about the reason this case happened in the first place. If a "hot" girl shows up at your house and you #@*&
her even though you know she's a psycho and have told other people she will kill you -- well, ya just kinda had to see (and did, in fact) see this coming. That's why I'm not worried about the DP. She's not threat to just any random person on the street.

Would YOU date her or want her around anyone in your family? Babysit your children? Date your son/grandson? She is a piranha. JA should never see the light of day, nor have contact with anyone other than LE in jail, forever. JMO.

I wonder if Travis had a camera before he bought the new one. Jodi chose to take the pictures with his camera not hers. Did she know he had a camera and had plans to use his all along? It is hard to think like her. I once talked to a policeman who said in order to be a policeman, you have to think like a criminal.
How do you think like a psychopath? Must be classes I guess.

Here is a test for psychopathy.

Didn't she say she laid in the bed waiting for him to wake up.
He allegedly awoke about 1:25pm.
Who texted Chris Hughes at 12 something that day?

IMO she showed up after that... but who knows.

I'd like to know why she kept calling police, calling his friends, going to memorials, etc.

She didn't have to do any of that, and she shouldn't have done it.

She really did, didn't she? It's as though she had to insert herself into the investigation. For one thing, she needed to keep up with what was happening in Mesa so she could ascertain whether or not she'd gotten away with her massacre. But then she loves drama and chaos, and although I don't in any way mean to trivialize the aftermath as that, I think she was enjoying the pain she caused so many having to deal with Travis's murder. Including, as Katiecoollady so eloquently put it in her radio interview, the massively hurtful letter she sent his grandmother, writing about the grandchildren Travis would never have.

It just takes my breath away to watch someone so evil and twisted.

My thoughts on why he still had contact with her actually would not be for the sex. That's only one part. He's not a sex crazed person, he seemed very normal.

I think it's simple, he wasn't mean. He is not the type to hurt someone's feelings. I think he was a more emotional being, just based on his writing and church and taking someone in if they needed a place to stay.

He was a kind person.

Did they have sex 10x a day.. I don't know, but fine with me if they did, or phone sex or bringing the spatula in the bedroom...all good.

I think its no more complicated than he met up with a truly evil and unstable person and did not realize the sheer danger he was in.
This probably doesn't matter at all but I can't stop trying to figure it out so...maybe someone has the answer for me and I can go on to obsess about something else!
JA said that the first time they had vaginal sex (VS) TA performed most of the act while she was asleep in the chair (not used to writing about this stuff!) -- this way she got to say that he was definitely not a technical virgin and that he was aggressive enough to take her whenever he pleased. But in the phone tape, when they discuss this "sleeping" episode, TA performed oral sex and of course that was all just wonderful to her.
When someone mentioned that condoms never seemed to be involved, I began to wonder if in fact TA did want to keep his technical virgin status...which might seem kindof ridiculous but could very easily be meaningful within his context.
Then in another recording (I think it was - it might have been a text message) he mentions with great enthusiasm -- something called a "cream pie". This, I have since learned, is an ejaculation that takes place just outside the entrance to the vagina. Why that would be thrilling to anyone who was used to having VS I don't know. But if that act is still forbidden, it would be.
As I said...not that this matters except to reveal another instance of how she intends to strip him of anything he might hold dear.

She can't stop herself. She couldn't shut up then and she certainly is not shutting up now. It's ok, it will be the death of her. :floorlaugh:

Jodi needed to be the center of Travis' life...even in death. IMHO, she loves being up on the witness stand...especially when it's all about her.

I really feel like he made her leave before his shower. I have such a hard time believing he would trust her not to snoop through his stuff while he was in the shower.

I still don't know what to think about the shower pics. To me it almost looks like at first he is standing there under the water just trying to destress after having to death with her. Then he just looks defeated. At that point I think he saw her and couldn't believe she was still in his house or maybe he saw the gun at that point. It doesn't seem like he took those pics willingly.

I had an emotionally abusive ex. He would do things during arguments like throw his wallet and keys into my car and walk away saying he was going to kill himself. He was trying to manipulate me into following him with my car. I did, to throw his stuff at him and leave. By pulling manipulative stunts like that on me over and over again he made me feel trapped and I just remember feeling like there was nothing I wanted more than to be far away from him. A few days later I was out with friends at a show and suddenly someone wrapped their arms around my waist and started dancing with me. It was him and he was acting like everything was fine. Then he caused a huge scene in front of everyone and I had to go hide behind some cars until my friends came out to drive me home. That feeling I had, the feeling of thinking you are free and then suddenly they are there, that is what I think I see on his face in some of those pics.

A few years layer I'm at work and pregnant with my current husband's child and a coworker tells me she had just been outside and found out the new security guy for my work building was my ex. I couldn't stop shaking. He absolutely terrified me and this was all from emotional abuse. I can't imagine what people who are physically abused go through.

The things Jodi does reminds me of him. Finding ways to insert herself into his life. Keeping her things at his house so she has reasons to show up to get them, borrowing money and cars so she had reasons to see him. When she wanted to switch cars and he hitched a ride with friends and told her to let him know when she made the switch, it really seemed like he knew she was trying to see him and was avoiding her. Then she didn't get the car...probably because she didn't want the car, she wanted an excuse to see him.

My ex gave my son a stuffed animal when we were together. After we broke up he called me several times a day leaving messages saying he wanted it back so he wanted to know when I could meet up with him to give it back. I mailed it to him. What do you know, the calls didn't stop. He'd show up and tell my roommate "I just have to ask her something real quick." And she would let him in and he'd start with "Why don't you love me?" And freak out.

Jodi is the abuser, not Travis.

If I shake at the idea of being in the same building as someone who was just emotionally abusive, I find the idea of driving that far to see someone who she claimed was physically abusive hard to believe.

See you after work.

JMO, You would also start to think like one if you had to deal with one on a steady basis. It's the only way to anticipate what they may try to pull on you next. They can be very predictable. Sometimes, you can ever con the con, and turn it around on them. However, Jodi, I do not understand at all.

May 10, 2008 !!

I am really confused about what phone she was using at the time that their phone sex tape was supposedly recorded and when she gave it to her defense team. I know something was mentioned Thursday (?) that the phone in question was "lost" for 18 months before Gus Searcy found it in his car and I assume let JA know. How do we know that the sex tape wasn't manipulated in any way? If someone made a recording and then re-recorded it on her phone, would there be anyway to tell that was what was done? After reading about Gus Searcy it really makes we wonder. ?????? :waitasec: Seems he might have the ability to do something like this IMO

Also JA mentioned about having a couple of dates in Calif. and one of them was with a man named John (?) that supposedly showed her some clips of the movie he was working on which was supposedly one of the Pirate of the Caribbean movies. When people are working on those kinds of movies they don't just get to take clips of them home with them even to work on them. Those movies or pre-production products are only worked on in a secure location. I wonder what kind of work he did on the movie? Did she see this man at his work?

Here is some information on Gus Searcy:

Not sure if any of this is related to any of GS's companies but the software is certainly very interesting. Check out some of the software on this page below which can modify voices, simulate voices, give you choices of male voices and other stuff.

Yes I agree, I think it was about her 'ownership' of Travis. 'Vying for position of chief mourner' as my sister and I call it.

My thoughts on the camera. I think she took them on Travis' camera with the intentions of taking the camera. After the murder she really couldn't because she had cut her hand and there was his and her blood all over it. I think she connected to her computer and uploaded them on her machine so she could still have the photos becuase she wanted the momento of her handy work to look at later. Then she deleted all the photos after she got her copies and then put it in the washer with bleach to get rid of her DNA and all the blood. After she returned home those pictures are saved on a card and erased off her computer. I think there is a card hidden somewhere that if she gets out she will retrieve. JMHO

One might think that, but in truth because they do not experience human emotion the way normal people do, a normal person really can't anticipate what they are capable of, or how they will react in a given situation. Sometimes if they think that you have figured out their patterns then they will deliberately change them so that they always have the upper hand. Jodi was much, much more than just a mere con-artist.

  • #1,579
I think perhaps Jodie dragged Travis's body into the shower to wash Travis and herself of blood. She put shoes on , ran downstairs and by the time everything was in place she was dry. Just put clean cloths on, left the house.

She would have to have all blood removed or risk leaving traces in the rental car, right?

She apparently got blood in the rental car. The rental car guy testified seeing what he assumed was "red Kool-Aid" stains in the car. Also, the floor mats were missing, which probably means her feet tracked blood on them so she threw them away.

Separately, she claims that Travis told her to go clean herself up in the downstairs bathroom, after they allegedly had sex in his office. Her making up this office sex "skit" suggests (IMO) that she didn't shower or whatever up upstairs; she used the downstairs bathroom.

http://wildabouttrial.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Detective-Flores-Investigation-Report.pdf

this report! scroll through toward the end when you see Detective try to interview Jodi first in Mesa day of the memorial.. She backs out and decides she needs an attorney. later she calls him again, from Yreka, saying she regrets having said she needs an attorney.. and talks to him...

its an interesting read all the way through

Thanks for link - I thought you had inf what she did in Yreka til she got arrested. Maybe it's there later or whatnot. Thanks, tho.
