Her confidence definitely looks shaken today. First time I'm seeing her now.

Really Katie, I just don't see it. I think she's unfazed. Holding firm. I feel like she's spinning Juan a bit, unfortunately.

Occam's Razor needs to be applied to the whole case. However, Jodi herself has made it almost impossible with all of her lies thrown in here and there. It is interesting that Occam's Razor is a well known theory in law enforcement and legal venues. But, it often times is hard to accept in forums such as here at WS simply because of the nature of the people who come here to sleuth.

Besides, it's more fun to make up all kinds of outlandish scenarios when the simple way is often boring.

(Not speaking for myself personally here, but just my personal opinion on why there is so much spin).

ABSOLUTELY. I don't think JA knows what Occam's Razor is... Scratch that - she definitely doesn't know what it is. :)

Jodi appears to be practicing right now, head bowed in her hand with hair covering her face, so that she will be ready when the jury comes into court.:floorlaugh:

There's a difference between reason and possibility. So far your arguments prove nothing other than that anything is possible. Therefore, are unreasonable.

I'm in Canada, maybe this is what it means to me. "reasonable doubt" and noted that "[t]he correct explanation of the requisite burden of proof is essential to ensure a fair criminal trial."

Unfortunately, I think the killer/defendant is doing pretty good on the stand. She's working the emotional aspect going for 2nd degree, imo. I don't see Juan fazing her that much.
,
It will be interesting to hear from JM, if , he gives interviews after the trial.

She's a hard nut to crack. same demeanor and stamina that she showed during her interview with Detective Flores.

Wonder if she killed in the same unemotional methodical way ?

You dont have to frazzle someone to prove they are a pathological liar. She is a sociopath and she's doing what she does best. MOO

LOL @ the TH on HLN (YES, I am STILL watching... I don't know why)... Juan getting into too many details... REALLY? Did this guy sit through the 9 days of direct testimony? When he explains to me the relevance of her having American cheese and onions in her omlettes 10 years ago and how one day when she was 6 she spilled some grape juice on her pants, I will give this TH some credibility. I find everything Juan is questioning her about relevant.... I find her slithering around refusing to answer "YES" or "NO" questions the problem.

I like the medical school saying "When you hear hoofbeats, look for horses, not zebras" (That's close anyway)

Zebras are more fun to look for though.

Oh here comes the hair curtain again.

  • #373
wooooooo. Jodi hiding her eyes. I wonder if she's meditating or really unhappy about what is coming up.

  • #374
Why is IT hiding behnd her hair during the sidebar?

  • #375
HLN saying that FCA was a proven liar as well and the jury acquitted her as well

But this case is completely different. She has admitted to killing him. You never know with a jury, but I don't think she's credible in her attempt to convince them that TA needed killing. I won't know until I listen to jury instructions what they need to find for premeditation. moo

Agreed.

Nurmi: Your honor Mr. Martinez is making my client look guilty.

Judge: That's his job.

Nurmi: But that's not fair. You're overruling all of my objections.

Judge: Because they're dumb.

Nurmi: Does he have to be so good at it. Can't we make him not ask questions that make her look bad?

Judge: NO!

Nurmi: Awwwww, C'mon. I wanna be a Jose Baez!!

JM and Judge:

Looking forward to the rest of todays cross ,but it's already late in the evening here, and I've been working the graveyard-shift with only 2 hours of sleep. I'm going to try hard to keep my eyes open anyway. It's just not the same watching it the day after. I wonder what the looong sidebar is all about?
