What are they talking about at sidebar? Jodi is over there wiggling around in her seat. She doesn't know what Juan will want answers to next. She likes to get her lies in order, but she has met her match in Juan. Now, Jodi is hiding with her head down and hand over her eyes. Her Mom is smiling waiting for her daughter's lies to be revealed.

We are back in court .. . . Judge asks Atty's to approach the bench . . . JM is up @ the bench and waiting for Defense . . .. JW has a ton of files/papers/documents in her hands . . . camera focuses on JA's Mom and Aunt who appear to be sucking on candy or a cough drop/mint? . . . .

Ja is staringinto the gallery - her ears perk up and she looks overto JW who s talking intently to the Judge and has her left palm extended out in front of her an to the side as while talking . . . .(like . . . . here's all/what I've got your honor) . . . .
Det. Flores sists @ State Atty talble strumming hi fingers . . .

JA looks down and away . . . then watches JM hand over a document to the judge who appears to be reading it (with her glasses on) . . . JA stares out into the gallery . . .. TA's sisters look briefly toward the camera an quickly away (is JA in their line of vision?)

Judge is speaking directly to Wilmot now . . . hands paper back to JM .. . JM speaksing directly and closely with the Judge . . . Judge leans in listening . . . . (JA appearsto crane her neck and listen intently for a moment) . . . Juge picks paper back up and re-reviews document . . .Wilmot arguing her point wit her left index finger tapping the desk

judge has righ pal up and out . . .gesturing to Wilmot directly . . . judge looks over her glasses @ Wilmot - who appears to be attempting to argue her case . . . judge appears to be listening and talkg to Wilmot -JM leans into listen . . .

Gallery shot . . herAun & Sister appear to be interested . .. Ja stares out into the audience of the gallery . . . JA's Momwatching intently . . . Judge still talking to Wilmot . . . hands paper back . . . WM gives judge paper back . . judge is holding her chin (thinker pose/)

TA's sisters watching . . . JA is looking down . . . .

now judge is talking to JM and asking him questions - still in the thinker pose

JA looks down and appears to be "zoning ut' . . . . almost as if she were sleeping . . . . (praying?)
camera backs ut . . . Judges still listening to JW and JM argue their point . . .

JA is "tuned out . . looking down . . . not mentally/emotionally present" - at least that is what it looks like to me . . .

Judge is reading something aloud or talking while reading . . . .

Judge handed paper back to JM and said "OK"
JM now appears to be arguing a new point

Folks it's 12:45 PST . . . I think court began approx. 15 min ago an everyone is waiting for the Atty's to argue their points . . . I do not think the Jurors have been allowed back into the room.

Thank you

She's thinking long and hard about who she will kill (in self-defense of course) once she is free....

  • #386
Her confidence definitely looks shaken today. First time I'm seeing her now.

I thought so, too. Jodi heaved a huge sigh shortly after she began testifying and seems nervous and is trying very hard to be controlled. If and when she lets go of her very controlled emotions and demeanor, she will go ballistic. :moo:

How did JVM get a show on HLN? Not asking rhetorically, but I really want to know. There are dozens of people I can think of who could host and produce a better show. Gather up a group of WS'ers and there would be a better product on the air. JMO

I think Beth would do great with her own show. (I can't stand JVM)

But this case is completely different. She has admitted to killing him. You never know with a jury, but I don't think she's credible in her attempt to convince them that TA needed killing. I won't know until I listen to jury instructions what they need to find for premeditation. moo

CA never got on the stand. It might have turned out differently if she had.

To my satisfaction it certainly has. The statistical probability of a .25 caliber being stolen from her grandparents literally days before the very same, relatively unpopular, caliber is used to kill her ex-boyfriend, in another state?

Astronomical in my opinion.

I'd like to see the gun then!! (my opinion, that's all)

Really Katie, I just don't see it. I think she's unfazed. Holding firm. I feel like she's spinning Juan a bit, unfortunately.

Just got home...this is what I see just in her demeanor silent on the stand, her posture more curled, her face more worried, her posture less erect and confident.

Now I'm seeing all our WSers...katie and I'm pretty sure WhatsupAZ behind her. I don't know what the rest look like!

Does anyone know if the older woman (sitting next to JA's mother) is Jodi's grandmother (the one she was living with when she was arrested)?

  • #392
She's is all her glory up there commanding such a large audience.

I hate her.

I thought so, too. Jodi heaved a huge sigh shortly after she began testifying and seems nervous and trying very hard to be controlled. If and when she lets go of her very controlled emotions and demeanor, she will to ballistic. :moo:

That's what I'm waiting for...the epic explosion.

And so true to form - without any hair. Because sometimes she feels like a blond, sometime she don't.

I'm getting nervous!!!!

Sorry if someone has already said this - but I suspect something in Jodi's testimony "opened the door" to something the defense is trying desperately to keep out.

  • #398
I said this earlier but I'll state it again. The "who's gun was it" issue comes down to Occam's Razor - as in the most simplest hypothesis is usually the true one.

Is it more believable that Travis had a .25 that he hid in his closet with no ammo and none of his friends ever knew about it and he never registered for one,

OR

Is it more believable that JA had stolen a .25 from her grandfather (which was confirmed he had one), brought it with her, shot TA with it and then disposed of it?

and who would have a "pop gun" (a 25 caliber) for protection at home? No one who knows anything about guns or has friends to advise him on home protection. IMO MOO :moo::moo::moo:

I do. Small caliber guns or pistols have there use. Could this 25 caliber pistol be used for personal protection? Yes it could.

Whatever it is Juan is trying to get in...there's a battle royal to keep it out. :giggle:

Yup. Jennifer is fighting HARD to keep something out.
