I'm in Canada, maybe this is what it means to me. "reasonable doubt" and noted that "[t]he correct explanation of the requisite burden of proof is essential to ensure a fair criminal trial."

REASONABLE not ALL doubt. To me, it's not reasonable that he owned a gun and had NO paperwork, ammo...etc

And a popgun that he didn't use for target shooting, and was located in an obscure place that even HE couldn't reach without a stool, and without any ammo that wasn't already in the gun? That's not common sense.

He had no children in the house, so why would he have had it where JA "says" it was? Her story (and it is a story I believe), is illogical. My mom has a gun and she keeps it where she has access to it while she's sleeping, but she used to be a cop.

How would having a gun on a high shelf far away in your closet help if an intruder/ninja broke in?? It wouldn't. He had no reason to keep it hidden.

She's full of bull. And so is her story. Besides, in the time it took her to supposedly retrieve the gun, she could have run out of the house. Instead, she grabs a gun and goes back in to confront her "attacker"?? Ridiculous.

"Cuz I never killed anyone before" WOW

I'm happy you're here today. Selfish, I know,but still.

Or should I re-phrase.

It makes me feel happy when you're here.

Nobody's asked me how I'm feeling recently. RUDE! ;)

btw- How is this long sidebar making everyone feel? Is everyone feeling okay? Anyone want to talk about it?

Wow I guess that shows two people can see the same thing and have totally different preceptions. This has been the best day so far for the state.

She is horrible and being exposed as a liar over and over again. Her demeanor is off..she argues about the simpliest things. Just because she spars and could be Bill Clinton's press secretary on the meaning of definitions:floorlaugh: doesnt mean she is doing well imo.

IMO

ITA. She is not very good at choosing which hills to die on.

Wish we had lip readers here.

i think your picture is in poor taste. :moo:

Have you seen the viral video of what happened to cause this picture? It is really funny and the woman has become semi-famous because of it.

Almost a half hour sidebar! This is something very important. Judge gets handed paper, paper being passed between all three attorneys, discussing paper. I am so curious, as you know.

  • #472
Who's the girl up there with them?

  • #473
I think she's simply playing another role: one of a person who seems upset, shaken, fragile...

I do NOT believe it's authentic. Not for a second. She has little flashes of competitive ire that belie any authenticity of her demeanor today. She was schooled by her DT after they read and heard *everywhere* about how damaging her attitude last Thursday was perceived by just about everyone.

jmv
Yup, she's an actress, same as she was, when she was filled with anger, I'm betting, as she had sex with TA, all the time wanting more.

look @ the way she played that Grandma and so many others, after TA was dead.

Judge handed DT another packet of papers and said, ".......use it....." ???? Now Juan is sharing a paper with the DT and pointing things out on the paper.

Maybe this delay is about more text messages?

  • #475
Oh no JM just slumped...

Thanks! <3

OT - I've been certified in CPR for all of my adult life. I haven't taken another class since and refuse to renew my certification. I vowed I will never, ever, ever perform CPR on another human being for the rest of my life. Ever.

But, was talking to a friend the other day and she asked me "what if someone needed CPR and you were the only one around to do it". I said, "OK, fine, maybe I would...but I won't like it and will ONLY do it if I can't direct someone else to".

I'm mean. ROFL
You have to renew your certificate to be certified. Just sayin.

I'd like to see the gun then!! (my opinion, that's all)

Not possible because the admitted killer disposed of the gun according to her own testimony.

  • #478
Argh! There's no proof Travis did not own a gun!

How I wish I was a juror!!! :banghead:

And there's no evidence that he did own a gun. Honestly, why would you believe this version after the previous three lies? The problem with habitual liars is when they tell the truth, you'll never know.

CA never got on the stand. It might have turned out differently if she had.

Sadly I don't think it would have. The Pinellas 12 were NEVER going to convict her. The state could have a picture of her committing the crime and I still don't think the Pinellas 12 would have convicted her of anything other than the lying. The combination of the people serving and the circumstances of being sequestered were a really bad mix for the state. They lost that case before it even started.

You missed the emphasis on reasonable.
