Did you know Travis is not on trial? JA is. The burden of proof isn't to prove that Travis owned a gun. Nor is it to prove that JA owned a gun either. She did shoot him with a gun. She admitted that. Same kind of gun that was "Stolen" from the house she was living a few days earlier. Just in case you missed that part of the story and testimony.

That would be explained to you as a juror in terms of how the whole burden of proof thing goes.

Thank goodness you aren't. The prosecution shouldn't have to prove that Travis didn't own a gun! There is ZERO evidence that he did. JMO

Proving a negative, huh?
If TA owned a weapon, a gun shop owner should be able to provide a receipt, as well as the background search (through the police department).
Unless you are suggesting that TA had underground connections and purchased a gun illegally. Or that he stole a gun.

OK, I just killed my neighbor but I say it was in self defense and with a gun they owned. I dumped the gun in the reservoir. There is no evidence they owned a gun and no extra ammo in their house but PROVE it wasn't their gun or I walk free! :what:

Speaking of journals I saw long time ago on TA MySpace about HIS journaling in a post on his blog.. So do we know if TA's journal is somewhere?? Maybe he wrote about Jodi's "crazy crackers"actions?

I read somewhere his journal was stolen. TA told a friend that he thought JA stole it. If this is true I wonder what was in the journal. IMO
