?? I didn't say or imply that Juan notices or cares. I was talking about Nurmi and his facial expressions and gestures today.
I'm afraid I'm not gettin' it...I'm not sure your reply is related to my initial reply about Jodi and Juan, not KN...

"FWIW Jodi's relentless juvenile behavior on the stand irritates me waaaayyyyy more than anything Juan has done in the courtroom. I would think if he was that out of control Judge Stevens would communicate that to him. If it doesn't bother her then it doesn't bother me.
I'm surprised the informality is okay but then I don't work in the legal profession."

If you want to dissect my posts then I guess that's okay but it seems like an awful lot of work at 3:33am. Seems like a good time to hit the hay :seeya:

Has she stated when he supposedly bought that gun?

Yea, I caught that too. And, wasn't that when she was still saying she didn't know who killed him?

Travis didn't actually buy a gun, IMO, but if he ever did, you can be sure he'd tell his buddies he went shooting with. He wouldn't buy a gun without talking to his buddies first, IMO.

Jodi was cleaning when she says she saw that gun, but I'm not sure when. She will make up something weak for Juan to shoot down.

Jodi has said she was not familiar with guns, and didn't even know what her grandfather's stolen gun would look like but small like a toy. She wasn't used to shooting guns.

Fight or Flee - Wouldn't it be a more natural instinctual reaction to run out of the house than to run to find a gun in a closet that might still be there. A gun she has no idea how to load or shoot? That was grandpa's gun, IMO, and she might have had more trouble with using it than her knife.

Well, it's exhausting following the lies in this case. Good Night....:offtobed:

Anyone have thoughts on this?.. will MM put himself Under her bus??
I disliked the cliffhanger on MM!
(saying patience 3x again, lawdy give me strenth)

MM says "I personally know the man she was with before Travis. He and Jodi maintained a friendly relationship after they parted. He also had NO issues with violence. So why now? What changed?

Wouldn't that be the guy that she bought the house with and then quit paying her half of the mortgage and other bills right after she met Travis. He said he could not keep up the payments on two houses without her paying for her half of their home and their house went into foreclosure. I don't remember him sounding real happy with JA when he was on the witness stand. When Juan brought that up to JA later she said that she had no idea he felt that way about her. :what:

Talking Heads - Psycho Killer Lyrics

Psycho Killer
Qu'est-ce que c'est
fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa far better
Run run run run run run run away

You start a conversation you can't even finish it.
You're talkin' a lot, but you're not sayin' anything.
When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed.
Say something once, why say it again?

Psycho Killer,
Qu'est-ce que c'est
fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa far better
Run run run run run run run away
Psycho Killer
Qu'est-ce que c'est
fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa far better
Run run run run run run run away

Ce que j'ai fais, ce soir la
Ce qu'elle a dit, ce soir la
Realisant mon espoir
Je me lance, vers la gloire ... OK
We are vain and we are blind
I hate people when they're not polite

Psycho Killer,
Qu'est-ce que c'est
fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa far better
Run run run run run run run away
Psycho Killer,
Qu'est-ce que c'est
fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa far better
Run run run run run run run away
oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh....

I can't seem to face up to the facts
I'm tense and nervous and I
Can't relax
I can't sleep 'cause my bed's on fire
Don't touch me I'm a real live wire

Psycho Killer
Qu'est-ce que c'est
fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa far better
Run run run run run run run away

This is my Jodi song. It goes through my head whenever they cut to a shot of her Mother. Me I'd be dying a 1000 deaths daily and wearing a burqu'a to hide my shame if she were my daughter. Psycho killers don't just wake up that way IMO

Absolutely not. I am a female and never would I just pull over wherever jn a truck and sleep. I would be very scared. But this is the invincible Jodi, so who knows with her.

I would also would not go panning for gold with 5 men after I just killed a man in self defence.

You've made SUCH an excellent point Summerfun! (That happens here alot!) I did grow up in an abusive household, & anytime someone shows anger or raises their voice, especially men in my life, I get such an old, familiar pit in my stomach, with this numbing tingle spreading through my body & feel like I'm going to wet myself. (Interesting, never tried to put that in words till now!) When JA told the story today about TA banging his fist into the door frame then banging his head, I knew WITHOUT A DOUBT she had never been abused a day in her life by anyone! There is NO WAY she would have ever followed him up those stairs! Sadly, I believe this is one rare occasion she is likely telling the truth. Can you imagine how frustrated he must have been with her by then? I'm sure this wasn't lost on the jury either. Lord knows JM, the judge, the poor jury & we the viewers can certainly relate! Back to the point of having no fear of danger to go gold mining, I have wished SO many times we had a direct line to the prosecutor! After all, :websleuther:'s have such great minds!!!

I'm nuts - rewatching the video from today. I sincerely get the impression that Nurmi is giving Arias hand gestures. The first one being that chuckle when she says they are having trouble communicating.

The lady defense attorney never budges, but Nurmi is all over the place fidgeting and staring right at Arias.

When he gets ready to object he often scratches his left cheek, pulls on his tie, pulls on his pant leg, or covers his mouth (ie, shut up).

I wonder if there were any pre-arranged motions that Arias was supposed to keep an eye out for.

or am I just being tired and paranoid ;)

I guess the contradiction she spoke of in the letters she tried to get to matt was about the marks/bruises/ on her neck that she said she told him about. why would someone get that wrong. I'm sure if a friend told you that someone beat them up you wouldn't forget about that. another one of her lies. matt needs to take the stand if he's not already in prison

No, the magazine issue had to do with the forged letters and Matt was involved in that. It happened 4 days before a hearing was held regarding whether the letters which supposedly implicated TA as a pedophilia were authentic or not. The judge unsealed part of that trail ruling earlier in the but has so far kept the letters themselves sealed. But at the rate they keep bringing those letters up over and over again, I have a feeling that they will not stay sealed for long. Especially with the way Nurmi kept going on about them with C. Hughes(?) the other day. Hughes testified that Nurmi had told he and his wife Sky that the letters were real. Then they found out later that they had been ruled to be forgeries and said that they felt that Nurmi had intentionally lied to them and considered him a snake or something. Nurmi got really upset by that.

Most excellent post. I have no experience with domestic abuse (and apologize that you had that experience). I just remember watching movies like the Burning Bed, and when a woman is being abused I've never seen her to after her abuser - rather she runs in the opposite direction to try to get away from the abuse/er.

Yet Jodi chases Travis right up those stairs! Nope - not buying it.

Big hugs --

If what Jodi said was true about her supposed inexperience with guns, then why would she go out and buy a 9mm gun right before she was arrested. I would be wiling to bet that she even took some time out in the desert or at a shooting range to get in a little practice with that little .25 automatic of her grandfathers before she got to Mesa, AZ.

I think she was more of a danger to the other gold-miners than they were to her. :floorlaugh:

:giggle:

Every time I look at JA all I can think of is that she is a real succubus.

The flower definitely disturbed me. Even that seemed somewhat "premeditated," and like some kind of sick inside joke. You know how serial killers have their little trophies to remind them of the kill, sometimes they will keep them in plain sight because people don't know what it is or the significance.

With knowledge that she had taken away that elderly woman's grandchild, she sent her irises because Travis wanted to name his daughter Iris. How sick is that? And, what in the world is she talking about in 18 pages?? Every action is so obsessive with her. It seems like everything is calculated.

I don't know if any of you watch Dexter, or saw this last season, but when I watch JA in interviews, she reminds me so much of Hannah McKay. ugh.

I think JA's act was sadistic. It makes me almost as sick as the day in court when she said that "Travis was in a better place", with his sisters and brothers sitting right in the courtroom. :furious:

Jodi said that he f'd up by contradicting the stories she had been telling her attorney for a year about the abuse i'm assuming. remember he is the only witness to sucj injuries. Juan asked her several times about this and said did you know when matt was asked about this abuse/marks conversation he had NO recollection of it? Jodi said no and i think there was a sidebar, Matt was supposed to be her witness of abuse hence the coded messages saying u f'd up. I he did not remember this conversation it would contradict her statements to her lawyer. She asked him to get down to the jail to "fix" this before he testified. The court minutes show that Matt was attempted to be interrogated but I don't know the outcome. Him not having any recollection plus the coded messages leads me to believe that she didn't tell him about the bruises and he didn't see them. i don't think this is about the letters but about the contradiction that juan mentioned.

Maybe she thinks people will believe her since that is what happens in the movies. You know, running upstairs instead of out of the door that is a lot closer than the 2nd floor landing? lol

Anyway, I don't believe he bought a gun either. I was just wondering when she claimed she saw it.

She claimed that when she used to clean his house for money, he would give her chores to do. And she said that one time he asked her to take everything off the shelves and dust them.

Anyhow, we are supposed to believe that he put a loaded, unlocked gun, hidden in a very high place, not even in a box or a case, with no safety on, and then he asked her to go and take everything down off those shelves? Wouldn't that be a very dangerous thing to do?

And we are supposed to believe that he allowed his crazy ex gf, that he said he was afraid of, to know where his loaded unlocked weapon was?

If he did have a gun there, and he knew it was loaded, then why would he allow her to run in there an grab it? That makes no sense at all.

And why isn't there any other ammo left behind?

You a absolutely right! You run in the opposite direction as fast as you can! Been there, done that, got the shirt, and will never take another trip on that crazy train ever again!

The only thing JA knows about being a "battered woman" is what she has memorized from DV pamphlets! And every time I hear or see her fake react to the word "flashback" I want to throw up! She doesn't have a clue what a real flashback is unless she is referring to the way she butchered Travis and that is one that I hope haunts her for the rest of her days. The only experience she has with abuse is that which she has inflicted on the people around her. :furious:

I bet she filled up the blue bottles from
walmart with water to clean up.

She stated she had plenty of gloves.

Ha ! Her memory did return before she threw out the floor mats though
didn't it. She may have to explain that.

BBM: The gloves…I've seen other posts mentioning gloves, but I've missed testimony or discussions about them here on the threads. Are we talking about "throw away" gloves like doctors and nurses use? If so, who on this planet packs a box of those when going to visit a friend or prospective new boyfriend? I can see someone doing that if they are premeditating a murder though. :what:

All I am picturing right now is a Friday the 13th movie where the victim hits the perp on the head one time with a frying pan and thinks they are dead...

I am the one in the theater yelling hit him again!!! and again!!!
Perp pops up and kills victim...

In this case we have over kill.
We have a very personal attack fueled by rage.

Travis was not an actor.
Her movie references are insulting.
IMO

Her alleged fade to grey I almost died is bull.

I was in a fight for my life ONCE.
I REALLY have no memory for a period of time.
When I came to I was being lifted off the ground by my hair to a standing position .
I heard and felt my scalp lift off my skull as my hair ripped out in a clump.
I looked around he room and realized that I had tried to crawl under the bedside tables in the room to protect myself because I could not escape.

After I was let go. BY THE GRACE OF GOD....
I cried hard for HOURS.

By THE time the sun rose I could not move.
Much less allow ANYONE to touch me.
I HURT EVERYWHERE.I had bruises on the tops and bottoms of my feet

Thinking back on yesterday cross examination, the thing that struck me as significant:

Juan ask Jodi about her state of mind during the August incident when Travis grabbed her wrist and pulled her then apologized and left her downstairs. After some back and forth I think he got her to admit she wasn't paralyzed with fear. Someone who is deadly afraid wouldn't SEEK out the person they're afraid of.

And then Juan goes: "when you were about to kill him, you said you thought about the day he had run after you like that before. But didn't he end up apologizing that day? He didn't hurt you that day did he? He apologized and LEFT the confrontation?"

So Jodi saying things like "the day I murdered him I was afraid because of what he might do because what happened in august" or something like that, it doesn't make any sense to me! Because nothing major happened in august, according to what she herself has said.

So yeah, that was a big moment for me. I wish Juan would've let her dig herself a little deeper.
