ITA! Is that allowed, all the signals they flash her? I would imagine the jury has to have noticed them, and it can't help whatever bit of credibility she's managed to scrape together. Maybe I am still crushing on Judge Perry too much, but this judge just doesn't seem to run as tight a ship.

My guess is this is why Jodi is not following that well and/or getting a brain scramble.

She is not focused on Mr Martinez, she is also trying to look for direction from her Attorney's. If you have ever tried to follow someone talking while someone else is trying to direct you secretly, you get totally lost.

I think the jury should allow her to attempt to swiftly serve that subpoena.

No disrespect for the loss of TA's life, every life is precious. But the crime against Caylee Anthony isn't even in the same stratosphere as the crime against TA. Again, no disrespect and the utmost sympathy to TA's family.

Caylee was a baby who looked to her mother for protection, mommy, above anyone else in the entire world, is supposed to protect her. She put ducttape over her mouth and nose and put her in the trunk and then had the unmitigated nerve to dump her in a swamp. Mommy did that to her. Her protector did that to her. The one thing in her life that she could idolize, the one person who meant everything to her...did that to her.

It's disgusting that that walks the same earth that I do, it makes me absolutely sick to my stomach.

Now, on to Jodi....she is diabolical and she will kill again if set free, of that I have no doubt.

I understand the special preciousness of a baby who is defenseless and needs protection.

But....no disrespect to our sweet Caylee, Travis's murder was more gruesome than my worst nightmares. I cannot even begin to imagine how much he must have suffered. It's just too much.

I know I'm ready, I want to hear in JA's own words in what way was Travis attacking her when she was stabbing him in the back. This morning I thought if Juan Martinez doesn't ask today I could wait, but I'm not so sure now. Seriously, I wish he would just forget all about everything that was said before lunch and start right in with a question about the murder.

He already knows she is going to do the "I don't remember" defense (just enough to get in DV though?).......so what is the point. He's gotta go elsewhere :moo:

She wins if the jury tunes out. If they stop listening, they don't hear all the subtle pearls that JM is attempting to get out there. She wins if the focus becomes her and not Travis and if the jury starts to sympathize with her.

Any chance she's actually going to cooperate and be more responsive when Juan gets to the more pertinent questions about Travis and the murder? No. I'm sure some of the jurors have tuned out, then back in, out and in again. I have too. It's been awful listening to her for the last several weeks. They will perk up when she's being questioned about this man's slaughter. They will have a foundation set by Juan that she fabricates nasty lies. Those are the moments they will be taking notes, watching her, and tuned into her hostility.


If any of the jurors are sympathetic to her or are going to fall into that trap, it won't be a result of Juan Martinez. It will be a result of her psychopathic tendencies succeeding and that juror falling prey.

At least Caylee wasn't described as a rapist and pedophile by CA.

If Jodi is acquitted, that's what Travis will be remembered as. The stakes are much greater here.

Part of me wishes that Jodi stuck with the intruder story. An acquittal would be much easier to swallow.

When a person is engaged in crazymaking or gaslighting with you, it's recommended to dis-engage and walk away from them...because you will never win. Sadly, in this case... Juan has no choice. He will need more than a stiff drink to recover from this.

You are right, but if you noticed, today, at the beginning, he did not fight her on her inprecision and attempts to derail. He just restated and continued on with his point. She did "hook" him a bit later though, and that's when we went on the 9 minute roller coaster ride.

Once you ignore the attempts at subterfuge, she has to pull out a new technique, be it "I don't know" or tears, or whatever.

The thing is, in order to change someone's behavior, someone has to do something differently. We know Jodi is not going to. So Juan needs to ignore her stalling ******** and keep firing questions. She will have to do something different.

When I refused to "engage" with my ex-husband in battle mode, he was so confused. I wouldn't take the bait anymore and he was left scratching his head.

Juan has his work cut out for him, but I bet he has some top notch consultants helping him strategize her psychology.
