Another newbie jumping in. I have been reading here for company and therapy during this mindnumbing testimony. I also have post traumatic stress from FCA trial. As a lawyer - I just cannot watch another miscarriage of justice. I am sooooo apalled at the conduct of the defense team and of the defendant. I don't even know where to begin. I wanted to comment on the talking heads who are saying Jaun is losing the jury with all this jumping around and only making small points about lies. What he just did this morning was to prove that she is confrontational despite her claim of brain scramble (and I am keeping a list of all the "buzz" words she's rehersed/memorized like "wrath" "mortal terror", blah blah blah). She's not coming across as confused at all IMO, but completely combative. Who argues over the words "immdeiately" and "show"? Only someone who is evasive. My favorite Jaun words so far are territorial and peeping!

Welcome! Nice to hear your prospective on her. I think she has had certain buzz words grilled into head like "flashback" to try and portray a "battered woman". I just worry that the jury may not see that her use of these words is part of her act. As a DV survivor myself, I do not believe that Travis ever laid a hand on Jodi in a violent manner. In watching her facial expressions when she uses these words, to me at least, she has no emotional connection to them, they are just words to her.

I think we might get a chance to see what I've been waiting for - when Juan gets her stuck in a line of questioning where she had planned to be Sad Victim Jodi but she is getting frustrated with his questions/doesn't know how to answer, so she becomes Combative Angry Jodi. How will she manage between the two?? I believe the psycho part will be very apparent.

The memorial wasn't part of the agreement, just the funeral. Oh, it was more abuot HER funeral. Because she wanted him to speak because he would EDIFY HER IN EVERY WAY. Oh criminy, she is backtracking about the "agreement" testimony now! HOLY CRAP!

I wonder why she "coudn't make it" to his funeral. (Thank goodness she missed it, for his poor family.)

I've got to believe it is for strategic purposes. Same reason he wasn't objecting to nonresponsiveness of her answers. I think he wanted the jury to see her circular reasoning and evasiveness.

There is no doubt that Jodi was the abuser...they love chaos...and will do anything to engage the victim. JM taking a step back is a great way to break the cycle.

I have not seen him before. I know more family came in this week (thank God). I am sobbing off and on the whole time today...this is just heartbreaking they have to sit there and listen to this. She just keeps getting worse and worse.

I'm getting ill trying to put myself in their shoes. I don't think the average mind is built to process this kind of evil.... it's inconceivable.

Take it easy on your heart, K. I imagine that there are times in this trial that just rip open any old wounds for you. We love you and don't want that to happen!
