I have a behavior question. We have now heard about several boyfriends and one by one, pretty much each one she has either read their text messages when they fell asleep or were in a shower, or read their hotmail and printed things out.

Mostly in her words catching them in these inappropriate conversations.

I don't really know of one person she did not do this to (maybe the last one, Ryan)

I have never done this, I'm not saying that would not be tempting but I have never felt like I wanted to. I suppose if I had feelings something was wrong, I'd simply act on those but not sneak in and go through mail.

How odd is it that she did this to so many guys? I don't want the fact she "alleges" to have found "dirt" on most all of them to diminish the the behavior of looking at their private things in the first place.

Ok, I'll take the bait.

I used to be one of those girls. And dont worry, I finally did receive professional counseling to break the pattern. I used to not only snoop on each and every boyfriend, but more importantly I *chose* boyfriends who were self-fulfilling prophecies. In other words, I was attracted to guys who were most likely to cheat or flirt or have straying eye. It was my need to fix, manage, and control that allowed me to pick poor suitors and distrust them enough to invade their privacy. Why? Because it's easier to "fix" and manage someone else than to turn the mirror on yourself and fix your own messy life. At least thats why I paid hundreds of dollars to come to understand ;-)

But to your point -no - it is not the norm and it is not healthy. But a lot of people do do it, and not all are bad or sociopaths. At least I don't think. I mean I haven't killed anyone. Lol! But seriously it's definitely not healthy.

I think I remember something about Sheriff Joe's meat loaf in the Baby Gabriel case? Anyone remember that regarding Elizabeth acting up in jail?

Yes, I do remember that. Sheriff Joe's "nutri bread" LoL. She sure didn't waste away to nothing in jail though. Maybe someone was padding her commissary account too.

I thought she said she was in an auditorium while attending some kind of PPL presentation.

If I remember correctly- they were texting through the PPL presentation and then went to dinner with some PPL people when she got the picture texts. Something like that...bc she couldn't send him pics back like he wanted. She alleged that he made her feel it would only be fair if she reciprocated.

Not all "murderers" get the Death Penalty. There are many people who lose loved ones to heinous murders. Do their murderers die? No. I understand the pain this has caused to his family, but putting her to death with not bring Travis back.

In our case there was no LWOP at that time in AZ so with parole in 25 yrs it was a nobrainer. Interestingly although we never really discussed it, we were a family who would probably be anti DP if we'd not landed in that "heinous" situation.

After two decades of appeals, I'm left with only one wish. That they get forgotten. Execution won't make anything better for any of us. Except we will stop getting bugged by their attorneys and representatives. Their DP attorneys have tortured us in various ways for years. In the name of "justice" for murderers. It's no picnic. I'm sure parole hearings are no picnic either. LWOP takes both off the table. So yeah, in hindsight I'd probably prefer that sentence.

With that being said, Jodi Arias along with Michael and Rudi Apelt ARE "the worst of the worst" so they do qualify for the "worst of the worst" sentence. And it is more suffering for them in certain ways. I'm sure the life on DR will be far worse for JA than in General Pop.

And with all that being said I am 100% behind Jodi Arias being sentenced to death for one simple reason: it's what this family wants.

I stand behind them in solidarity 100% . This is one place they have a tiny piece of control. I will champion for this sentence and be there with them for their Victim Impact Statements and support them in all ways with this.

Hope this helps...??

Hell that's no less than what I can squeeze into my workday. I NEVER operate on a full 3 meals and still have to perform high workloads under great stress.
Must be nice...speaking only for myself and not this debate over JA. I couldn't do that, and I have a high stress workload myself. Not everyone is the same.

It is highly unusual to go through every boyfriend's emails, text messages and phone records. I have never done it. Most women and men I know have said they don't or never have done such a thing.

That said, there is a breed of woman I have met who do this regularly. I call them the drama mamas. They are constantly accusing their significant other of cheating, constantly need to know exactly where the other is at all times, every minute of the day, when their man is even five minutes late it causes all sorts of suspicion and drama, the guy invariably pays for an extended time, whether he has done anything shady or not. Eventually the guy feels like WTH? I am paying for the crime so why not at least enjoy committing it?

These drama mamas of which I speak need to be in control to the nth degree, and they almost invariably create the very thing they are so on the lookout for. A sort of self fulfilling prophecy effect.

It would appear JA has engaged in this sort of relationship dynamic since HS.

Neither would LWOP. NOTHING will bring him back, so in the end its partially up to the family to put their voice in for what they would like, and let the judge go from there. If they wish for DP, so be it. They may not get it, but their wishes should be respected.

I so disagree with the tv opinion that Juan is lost in the weeds and just making minor points because it's too personal to him. He dismantled her "i just went with with Travis' deviant agenda that made me feel dirtry". He has to refute this, and the "abuse", since its part of her "justification" defense, and he needs the amo to dismantle the defense sexpert. If the events are proven to not have happened, there is no basis/foundation for the opinion.

And I thought the testimony he elicited out of her own mouth about her stalking pattern was amazing albiet scary. She admitted to all of it as if it wasn't odd and perfectly appropriate - it was so cringeworthy and reeking of premeditation. Her knee jerk reaction when jealous is to hop in car, drive long distances, and confront. She's been proven to be assertive, confrontational and as tall as Travis. Her "I wasn't allowd to be confrontational with Travis" is so implausible -- he was scared of her! It's in his texts!

And finally - I think Nancy Grace's head is going to explode in 10 minutes with the hungry/tired/headache stunt.

ITA. Plus, I don't think I've ever been cheated on. Not because I'm so wonderful, but either I never caught it, or a guy just broke up with me. I do think that anybody can have a cheating partner, but weren't ALL of her boyfriends cheating on her? And I'm pretty sure JM got Jodi to admit that just about ANY contact with another female was viewed as "cheating."

I want to say 2 mil. I remember it was something huge, but I can't remember where I read it. Two million sticks in my mind.

This is entirely too too much. 'Big Bang Theory' Sheldon is learning to drive. Refuses to use a RED CAR in the simulator because they are statistically more likely to be pulled over.

Thanks Mr Pizza---I was thinking along those same lines. A knife is said to be an upfront and personal weapon and a shot to the head more of a cold kill (iykwim). Why the 2 different weapons.......I think the knife was her preferred weapon leaving the gun possibly for roommates or others. He may still have been moving or gurgling after the knife attack and she got scared and finished him off with the gun.

Exactly what I have thought all along. She butchered him and then shot him.[/quote]

Yes, I agree. The knife is personal. She "butchered him and then she shot him". It's that simple.

Katie CL, I could not agree with you more. Personally I dont believe in the death penalty..for various reasons. I do believe in victims rights and if this is what the family wants then I stand with you on this. God Bless You for being there for this family.

I agree. Her lawyer pulls tricks to 'help' her!
and why is JA allowed to speak the way she does to prosecutor?
Judge doesn't control her court......IMOO

I'm not a fan of this judge.

I don't even know how to reply to this other than to say that even murderers on death row, statistically are not put to death. MOST die from natural circumstances in prison. This is not some argument for/against the DP, it's just a fact.

With respect, the last part of your last sentence tells me you really do not understand the pain this has caused to his family . If you were to tell me that you lost a family member to a heinous murder I would believe you. But based on that comment, I'm sorry, it's not something I would lend credibility to. They know nothing will bring Travis back, believe me. They know nothing will soothe their pain, especially right now while they are dealing with this trial and this hideous monster continuing to torture them from the stand daily.

I think that's all i can to this.

No......I'm not crazy or taking pills. IF, big if, she has been denied food as Nurmi is suggesting, that she is not getting any lunch and court has to be over by 4:30 so she does not miss dinner than yes that is cruel. I did not say that I think that is the case. She has been on trial now, how many days, and suddenly when she lets a word slip out that basically makes her look bad she used her wild card. I can't imagine them not providing her with something to eat. If she decided not to bring it because she felt her attorneys would get her her lunch than that is her fault and she has disrupted the court because of that fact. I don't think she is not getting fed. I think she is not eating.....big difference. And why has it taken her defense team so long to bring this to the attention of the judge. They had to have known about it. What I'm saying is it WOULD be cruel for them to do this, but I really don't think they did. It's just Jodi thinking if she brings nothing her team will feel sorry for her and buy her a burger and fries, which she will never get again. It's her last chance. But, no. I have not lost my senses. Think about it. She leave early in the morning after breakfast so she would have to bring something from her tray. If they are only feed twice a day it's what she does eveyday. I don't think the courthouse jail serves food. lol
LC...what did she let slip out? I fell asleep. lol

anyone else having problems with WS?
I hit thanks and the whole page refreshes,
then it says I don't have permission to be on a page????

That happens to me all the time...for weeks now. Sometimes I just don't "thank" cos it is so time consuming esp. when the thread is moving fast.
