I'm just coming on board since the lunch break, and I gather from a quick review that there was some incident this afternoon where Jodi complained about not getting enough to eat.

I'm going to watch the youtube recordings from the afternoon shortly, but can someone fill me in with Cliff's Notes on the lunch issue? Did she pass out or feel weak on the stand, or refuse to come back to court till she ate? What happened, in a sentence or 2?

Thanks in advance!!

Her defense said she was not given lunch the past two days. They said she was suffering a migraine. Nurmi also said that court should not go over the 4:30 mark, which I have not notices if it ever did or not. Jodi seemed fine all day on the stand...even before all this came down. IMO they wanted her off the stand, as she started to do herself some damage on the stand.

As a casual follower of this trial.

One thing I've learned in life is some people can try and justify anything to prove their view, even if they're mistaken. One need look no further than our politicians.

The way Peli C's it..

I'm far from being a lawyer but once had a contract law professor put it this way. It doesn't have to be right it doesn't have to be fair, it doesn't have to be just, it just has to be legal. Best legal lesson I've ever learned.

I think legally she murdered this man, she didn't just defend herself. She didn't use that much force to end a threat, she made sure he was going to die.

All this testifying and trying to prove it isn't fair or just is nothing but a big smoke screen to distract from the fact she murdered this man.

I think the jury will see right through her and realize she murdered this man.

I don't know if anyone can really explain what's going through that deranged, dysfunctional, criminal brain of hers but some of the most shocking and appalling testimony is when she goes to the memorial, explains why she went, sending flowers to his grandmother, and some of the other behavior in the weeks right after the murder. We know what the DV expert will say and I'm not interested.

There is an unfathomable level of intentional, calculated cruelty in those actions she took. It's like murderers who revisit the scene where they've buried the body or committed the crime. Actually on one of the HLN shows, a friend of Travis said after the memorial, JA asked if they could drive by Travis' house for nostalgic reasons. I can only imagine that she is exhillarated and relives those horrible moments. She continued to act out, sending flowers and a note to his grandmother. Mark my words-- these are things the jury will not forget. They will not be explained away by any defense expert.

How twisted that she can speak those words... we had an agreement we would attend each other's funerals and I wanted to keep my word.

Unreal.
Didn't she also want someone to point Mimi out to her? Totally souless.

This cat and mouse game she plays with Juans questions is driving me crazy. I hope the jury is as pizzed as I am about it. She is obviously avoiding trying to answer even simple stuff.

As a spectator, the only way I can get even with her tomorrow is to be happily stuffing my face while remembering how she is starving. LOL

Ouch and LOL! (For Southerners: It is a favorite pastime in the NE to make jokes about NJ.)

That joke supplied by someone who must pay people to rake his roof!!!!! LOL (It's also a favorite pastime to make snow jokes about upstate NY.)

That's alright. In the south we make fun of those who live above the mason-dixon line. Or outside of Texas because we're special.

Well, no. I didn't say that. Some AZ defense attorney said that in an article that someone here linked.

It would probably be a contraband violation, though, which is a felony. And in any event, the guard standing over her would never ever allow it. The Sheriff's Office has the right to take security precautions like this, whether or not the provision of outside food to an inmate would be "illegal."

darn it....i thought it was you. my apologies for libelling you (my own word)

Have you noticed the increase in our knowledge of words and their meaning because of Jodi?

I'm surprised the word cunnilingus hasn't been used yet. :waitasec:

Oooh... I think I want in on this. NE = New England or Northeast? Either way, I'm down. I love making fun of New Jersey. Although Newark is really a beautiful vacation destination. Smells like flowers. Ahem cough choke ahem.

She may be aiming a smile towards someone on the jury, but they aren't buying what she's selling. MOO

I've not seen any juror give a look or respond to her in any way.

What about #7 (Paul Rudd)?

Ahh I love when I learn a new scholarly word for something naughty :great::great::great: Now I can awkwardly squeeze it into conversations.

Good luck with that... :great:
hee!
That said, and regardless of it's definition - it's a cool word. Always has been, always will be. :)

Yes, I'm a word addict. I have no interest in recovery. When I'm really jonesin', I'll start makin' up my own... it can get pretty scary.

I don't think Jodi knows it, she doesn't seem to know the proper terms for many of her favorite past times.

Just out of curiousity, have you independently confirmed the dog has gas, or are you going on the testimony of your husband?
