I got up a little while ago and I'm listening to the afternoon testimony that I'd missed. JM is DESTROYING her story!! I love the comment; "Did you leave it so he could contact you from the grave?" :giggle:

I still have about 15 minutes more to watch, but he's breaking up her story so well there is no way even a P12 juror could screw this up. I hate to say that because I'm afraid to jinx things, but you'd have to have an IQ of single digit numbers not to get it.

Thank you ingra1327!!

It just clicked.

There is NO WAY that the police at the Hoover Dam checkpoint would have overlooked a missing license plate and a rear license plate turned upside down. No way at all.
She messed with the plates AFTER Mesa and when she was out of AZ. Not to conceal the car in AZ but to have the car and herself placed in Utah, for an alibi.

I have a feeling Juan is demonstrating various behaviors of hers without drawing the conclusion rather allowing the jury to do that. He will tie it up with a bow in the summation.

He's creating a curiosity in the minds of the jurors (why is he asking about x? and why did he go there with y?) Then he slam-bang answers those questions at the very end.

These talking head attorneys are nowhere near his level, especially the one who says he would just go in there surgically. "You lied, you lied, you lied, she lies. Done."

Juan is doing what good writers do--he is showing what she is rather than saying it. Then when he wraps things up, he will show how the traits they observed fit into the crime scene--and one of them will be "she had to have the last word..."

JM is getting as much information from her as he possibly can while debunking the easiest stuff. He has another go at her after the DA has tried to debunk him. Why would he want to put all his "cards" on the table for the DA at this point? No reason to prove or wrap anything yet. He has time and opportunity to do so later.

Oh yeah, another thing. Her crying just before lunch I believe was real. You could hear snotage being drawn back up the nose. However, her afternoon testimony is totally fake crying, IMO.

I am really looking forward to JM's cross with the DV and PTSD experts.

THAT will be fascinating...

Most definitely.

Curious now, with what Martinez has brought out in his cross-examination of JA, just how relevant these "experts" will be.

For the sake of argument, say they keep the "pedophile" business in. How does it justify her claim of "self defence"? She didn't even bring that part into the "killing" part of the story. It has nothing to do with her crime. She has used as a means to "sully" his reputation but it has nothing to do with her claim of self defence.

I agree with you, but I think they are using it as part of their abused woman's defense, although as many of us have said on here, the story makes no sense.

If I found out my boyfriend was a pedophile, I think I might move on pretty quickly and not stick around trying to dress like a little boy to get his attention.

But that's just me.:seeya:

Interesting point!!!

You had to notice how clearly she answered questions while pretending to weep uncontrollably.

I think others have noted this as well.

yes this.

A few times her recovery was remarkable too.

Someone please post the curtain hair duping delight freeze frame. I cannot go through the entire testimony again and I cannot remember when she broke down!

Like I said. Croc tears.

Not standing up for JA at all, because her story is self-serving and doesn't ring true, but my PTSD did involve amnesia of the worst parts of the incident for a few years. I did remember bits and pieces of the whole thing, but it wasn't at all like JA said. I was drugged, so clearly that makes a difference, too.

The two worst parts of the night I didn't rememer until after years of flashbacks that made no sense. I would lose it and not know why I was losing it. For example, one thing that set me off was seeing my psychopath's face late at night after the incident (we were roommates; she set up the rape and said something to me right before it). I couldn't take looking at her face at night and had freakouts in my room alone or with my boyfriend. I thought I was going crazy.

I really could not remember what I remembered later (the two big things). My mind wouldn't let me until I was ready. It sounds silly, but it was like the last episode of MASH if anyone remembers Hawkeye's story.

So anyway, yes to amnesia, sometimes (imho, lol). No to JA's idiotic, self-serving version of it.

Wow.....thank you!!!! I understand where you are coming from --exactly. Big hugs too. The hawkeye analogy makes sense too!! Even bigger hugs!
In my opinion......everyone deals with an actual life-threatening experience in a different way. JA was NOT in such a position...you were, (hug), I was...and others reading this were too.

So, if you found out your boyfriend was a pedophile, would you have the right to kill him? Uh. No. I don't think so. If she had had the brains to tie it into her self-defence argument...well, maybe that would have been worthy of consideration. But she DIDN'T. So what does it have to do with the price of price of tea in China?

Absolutely! Peeking out from under her hair and hands, she was still picking apart his questions, unless she decided to feign a meltdown to avoid answering.

Jodi quickly tires of places, people and things. DP would be too easy on her.

I want her to live a very long life in a boring little cage, a routine life decade after decade. No life long friends. Nobody to mesmerize.

I believe in SO but after all she's done.. I hate to say I want to torture her.. I think for JA LWOP in a 5x8 cell with NO books, paper, pencils, art supplies etc just her with only her thoughts no other communication with anyone for the rest of her natural life!!!

Of her premeditating the murder.

I'm sorry, I haven't slept in like 8 hours so maybe I'm overtired and missing something.

There's no credible evidence...... of what?

  • #899
Ok...
So she is psycho crazy woman and premeditates his killing because of the old "If I can't have him, no one else will".

Why didn't she just just shoot after the roommates left, cornered in the shower stall.

Why was it is so vicious?

That would be too easy and quick in her eyes. She wanted him to know that she was going to kill him for "hurting her" and wanted him to hurt and suffer just as much as she felt she had been hurt by him. This was about power and revenge, plain and simple. I don't think she even wanted to be with Travis anymore, as she already had a few others lined up to replace him, beginning less than 24 hours after his death. In her eyes he had to pay and he did with his life. It was a really vicious attack because she wanted her revenge against him and it was fueled with a lot of anger.
