I would love to see Nurmi's to do list for his redirect. I bet it looks a little like this:

1. Distract the jury by talking about sex.
2. Talk slowly and draaaaaag out the redirect so the jury will forget all about Juan Martinez.
3. Talk about sex some more.

This redirect is just awful. I'm no legal expert, but Nurmi just seems so out of his league. Is he talking slowly so that he won't "mess up?" Is he slow because this is his first trip to the rodeo? I mean, seriously, speed it up, bucko. Going slow ain't gonna help your case.

I really don't want to say this (don't throw things at me! Unless it's a Toblerone... hahaaaha), but given the pace KN is using, this redirect could very well last at least a week, if not more.

It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have to suffer through more hours and days of what I personally can't see how or why it is relevant (except maybe one or two little things here and there - and even then, they're only relevant because the DT has misrepresented them, and Travis, so that they seem relevant - when they actually aren't. That's as kind as I can be).

Side note: The folks on IS seem completely confident that there WILL NOT be any rebuttal. I still think rebuttal is at the discretion of the judge.

I do not see how the jury is not getting annoyed by this point, unless they already are.

They know Nurmi's pace and style, too.

I do not understand how all this can be brought in with absolutely nothing substantiating it. Do they have this "3rd person" that they can bring in and question? How much leeway is that murderer going to be given? And he waited for this time to bring it in because JM cannot question her about it. I am getting sick to my stomach.

Okay guys. I would be the older conservative juror. I am 64. Hearing Travis and Jodi during the tape made me sick to my stomach. And the defense is clever to place the words on a screen and have the jury read it.

However, I made up my mind early on that Jodi is guilty of premeditated murder. Granted, the jury hasn't had the advantage of all the conversations that we have had. Still, though it sickens me, I would find her guilty today. Jodi is not innocent and she was not abused. She could have left the relationship and she didn't have to drive 1000 miles for sex. Thing is...she didn't. She drove 1000 miles for premeditated murder. I doubt if any juror is as conservative as I am. And with Juan's cross last week, it will all be okay.

Still, very disappointed in the judge!

I agree. I am 60 and very conservative in my personal behavior but I am not shocked at the sexual testimony. I have lived long enough to know that sexuality is complex and diverse. The testimony clearly shows that Jodi and Travis were single, consenting adults and I really don't care what they did with each other in their private lives let alone what they might have fantasized about. I think the state has proven premeditated murder and I would be voting guilty to the first degree murder charge.

This trial has gone completely down the drain. Nurmi is asking the exact same questions, and her answers are still weak -- only further convincing people how big a ho she is. She's a manipulative and obsessed nympho who's lying about being a manipulative and obsessed nympho. Okay we GET it!!

I can't imagine an expert saying anything that could turn around opinion of who Jodi is, or why he was killed. It's simple: Jodi set herself up to get a "wooden spoon" treatment from Travis. Then she went ballistic when he gave her what she deserved: the ultimate and final dismissal.

So why repeat this audio, reminding us how she hoed and stalked herself out of favor? IMO, unless Nurmi has a witness who says they saw Travis turn into the Incredible Hulk at few times, the defense is just wasting time.

Unless, of course, Nurmi's real strategy is simply to get a juror or two SO horny that they spare Jodi's life. Why else repeat this ridiculous audio??
