I wondered the same thing. Why not take it and throw it in a dumpster or something? Apparently she didn't think a lot of this through very well.

AND, if she was a "professional" photographer like she claims, she would have known that SD cards can go through the laundry and still survive. I've done it more than once.

I agree she didn't think it through very well and could've been panicked but I'm also inclined to believe much of her follow-up behavior was a big "F YOU" to Travis. I don't think remorse is something she's ever felt for this horrendous crime, quite the contrary, I think she felt he deserved this and more. JMO. This is so far beyond overkill but she doesn't seem to grasp that - AT ALL.

no I just saw them and asked my hubby as he passed by and he said yes that is what they look like regular white underwear

My husband has underwear like that and we are not Mormon.

ETA: This isn't to say that TA couldn't have used them as his sacred garments. Just saying that they have underwear like that for men...longer, tight legs.

he also just told me not all mormons wear them only those that have gotten the " meklhead priesthood" that is the wrong word but it sounds like that

I think JA goofed and in her panic to clean up the scene got the camera mixed up in the linens (which had her dna and hair etc on it). Maybe she thought that running the camera thru the laundry would erase all the photos on it but then what intruder mutilates and kills a man and then runs a camera through the laundry? I would conclude that someone close to the victim wanted to get rid of damning photos/evidence and JA appears smart enough to arrive at the same conclusion so take the camera with her unless she goofed and forgot it. She remembered to take both the knife and gun with her.

Going thru exhibits of pictures of interior of the home. Doorways leading to bath, punching bag (big red item in hall)

Exhibit #222 - check dated 5/25/08 $200 Washington Mutual bank - Jodi Arias to Travis Alexander - 9634 E Nedo Ave - Mesa, AZ - note Car payments Apr & May 2008

ETA (Mormon underwear now look much more like knee length underwear than than used to . .. they used to be one piece units with a big vertical slit in the back. On the tee shirts they have tabs over each nipple (extra fabric sewn in a square), tab over navel, and tabs above the knees on the drawers. Women's are now two piece garments and usually have cap sleeves on the tops. These are worn underneath the bra (and underpants) and are worn all of the time except to bathe. They are to protect LDS people (I have heard from gunshots and knife wounds in some cases) by divine power. They are also to set themselves apart from others who are not of the faith and to keep remindful of their commitments to their religion. (ie: the tab over one knee is to remind them to keep prayerful) The capsleeves and long length of the female garments are so women won't wear clothing that could expose the garments - therefore keeping them modestly covered. This information is from my own experience growing up in a LDS home.

IIRC the picture of TA in the shower was taken minutes before the attack, so he most like was nude when killed. Perhaps she grabbed his shirt, etc. to clean up blood.

ETA: my2sense beat me to it! Great minds must think alike ;-)

I look at that picture and I see a look of almost terror in his face. I think he knew something was up at that point.

Thank God that dog could run otherwise he might have gone through thru a wash and rinse cycle too.

That made me laugh out loud! Ha!

yeah I didnt want to say that they have protection powers but this time I guess they didnt work or maybe he had them off for bath time when she showed up..

I just went and looked at it again and I can see what you're saying. He looks sort of surprised. I have always felt people are most vulnerable in the shower.

Black camera bag admitted.

I thought TA looked surprised in the shower picture as well. It should be noted....he was naked in the shower - not wearing LDS garments.

Those are storage brackets for closets that form a cubicle, I have never seen them used like TA did as a room divider.

No, Mormon men & women wear *specially created* undershirts and underpants. They are mandatory religious garments, called "magic underwear." I think their faith teaches these MUST be worn at (almost) all times, for God's protection or something.

I doubt that Travis would have worn these UN-sexy undergarments while having sex -- and certainly not while he was taking a shower afterward.

I wonder if Jodi was trying to make a point by dragging his sacred undergarments through his (hypocritical) blood?
